  1. Negative Experience

I used You Move Me to move everything from my old home to my new home. They took apart my furniture and put it back together at the new home. What they didn't do is put it together correctly or even bother letting me know that they broke our couch and left pieces of our furniture inside the drawers of our bed rather than use them to actually put it together... Avoid this company.

  2. DENTED brand new refrigerator.

THE WORST! When we moved with You Move Me, we moved 80% on our own, including all valuables and breakables due to past experience. However, we left the basic big items (furniture, refrigerators, etc). Unfortunately our new Samsung refrigerator was dented in the process, and of course, it's the ice-maker door so has to be replaced instead of being repaired. The cost is around $500. I was provided a refund of $212. They did provide a name of the company they use for repairs. (Hmmm, that should be a clue). This is because I didn't take on EXTRA insurance they offered. When I was given the opportunity to take more insurance and questioned it, I was told they were bonded and had insurance and would be okay..that this was for irreplaceable/sentimental items. I was NOT told that the coverage would be minuscule in the event it was requested. I have a strong reaction to a company who specializes in a service yet holds you hostage to more money should you want DECENT service. I mean if you buy a car from a dealer, you don't expect to pay additional money to get air in the tires to drive it off the lot. Moving is what they do and you expect it to be done well but I suggest if this is your expectation, do not use them.

  3. Amazing service!

You Move Me has been the only moving company that I can recommend yo my friends and family. Amazing service and great employees.

  4. Local Tulsa Move.

Moving is certainly a hassle. The entire process was handled in a friendly, professional manner. Alex, Brock, and Ethan did a great job for us! Though slightly over the estimate, I was very pleased with Youmoveme. If you have to endure the trauma of a move, I highly recommend them!

  5. Horrible Experience.

I was shown an estimate on a phone belonging to one of the crew members, the morning of the move. This included packing help. It was estimated at 5-6 hours of service. I would be charged per hour. It ended up taking them a shocking 12 hours, and my bill was over 3k. I never would have agreed to this job had I known it would have taken 12 hours. You Move Me manipulated my entire moving process, causing my final bill to skyrocket. I believe they did this intentionally and that I was scammed.

You Move Me’s packing help involves crew members packing items into boxes and charging for each box supplied. Upon unpacking the next morning, I discovered that most of the boxes they charged me for were almost empty. Some boxes had only one small item in them. I believe they packed like this to steal even more money from me, using as many boxes as possible regardless of my actual need. The morning after the move, to my horror, I discovered the boxes were packed without care. Items inside were bent and crumpled.

Almost all fragile items inside boxes they packed were not secured or wrapped. Our new wood flooring was deeply scratched, a cabinet shelf was broken, our deck surface was scratched in multiple places, a door frame was damaged, both washer and dryer doors were scratched, our large antique mirror was shattered, collectors puzzle tins were dented and their contents mixed together inside of a cabinet. You Move Me’s packers were expected to pack the contents of all cabinets before moving them, but failed to do so. A side table that was not emptied by them had been packed upside down, damaging items inside and now the drawer will not shut. Various other items were damaged. I am devastated that items we took such good care of are now in terrible shape. Our new home does not look new anymore due to the crews’ negligence.

After 12 hours, I paid the bill and tipped the crew, which I seriously regret. I was not able to mentally process all of this situation until the morning after the move. The crew had left that night when it was already dark out, and I hadn’t yet discovered all of the damages or started to unpack. My boyfriend told me the following morning that he saw one of the crew members resting in the truck, and another who had cut his hand trying to work with one hand super slowly. One of them was video chatting with a friend; another texting constantly. I didn’t realize that the crew dragged out the time this way. I didn’t realize that we had been scammed, or the extent of the damages until that morning. I was still charged per worker, per hour, regardless of their speed or skill level.

I let You Move Me customer service know about the damages, lack of care, and overcharges for boxes. I provided many pictures. He assured me I’d be taken care of. I provided additional pictures and threatened to dispute my charge to VISA. He did not respond to this text. A week later I was contacted via email requesting I sign an agreement promising not to take further action on their company in return for 50 dollars and the replacement of 1 mirror. I responded that I would not be signing the agreement, and have not received any response from this employee or the company since.

I was taken advantage of. You Move Me did not perform to the quality promised on their contract, and charged me for what they didn’t earn. They delivered an abysmally inaccurate estimate, and have caused incredible hardship on me due to their extreme lack of care of my personal items.

  6. Disappointing to say the least.

We used You Move Me for a recent local move. Apparently You Move Me contracts with local movers and has little oversight. I was not provided with the special boxes they advertise nor did they provide other amenities advertised. The movers showed up in an unmarked truck and only one person wore a logo T-shirt. I had to call You Move Me to confirm they were legit.
They did not put down any protection on my carpet and once I realized that after about an hour they had already made a huge mess of the carpet! I made them stop and they had to call their office to get someone to bring out the carpet protection. The local manager Sean came out and he assured me repeatedly that they would take of getting the carpet cleaned. Silly me, I actually believed him. When it came time he wanted to send someone out with some spot cleaner. I told him that was not acceptable and I would get the carpet cleaned and expected that they would compensate me for that. He said he was sure they could do that and would let me know after he talked to his boss. It’s been over 3 weeks and I have yet to hear anything.

In addition the movers failed to wrap two pieces of antique furniture and simply threw them into a bin with other misc items. Both were damaged as a result. The movers damaged the walls of my brand new house taking chunks of plaster out. They unpacked the wardrobe boxes by literally dumping my clothes in a big pile on the floor.

The movers themselves were very nice and friendly and accommodating.

I was told the move would take about 5 hours. The loading took over 7 hours and then they asked if they could deliver the following day because it was so late.

Worst moving experience I have ever had.

  7. My Move.

It was terrible, not a piece of furniture I moved was not scratched upon unpacking. I had a secretary desk and when they pulled down the storage unit door it tore off both corners, my $1900 new frig was so dinged up nobody would even take it. When I called the company I got a huge run around and they never paid me a dime for destroying my furniture. NEVER would I use this company, NEVER.

  8. Horrible experience.

Our experience with You Move Me was disappointing and frustrating. We’ve used two other moving companies in the past with great outcomes, so our review is written with some familiarity with quality service. In August 2019, we received an estimate from You Move Me to help with some larger items. The quote seemed high, but we were ok with an overestimate if the price would be updated as we moved items ourselves. We worked diligently to move most of the items, leaving much less total items for them to mover. When the movers arrived, they brought three teams and realized it was too little for all of them, even though we updated them previously on how much we moved. They put us in the uncomfortable position of determining if and who would leave. The move out itself seemed to proceed without major incident, though there was some miscommunication on what they could/could not take (tractor) and how to disassemble large items. The unload to our new house is where the greatest disappointment in You Move Me occurred. It did not appear that the movers used the same care as previous movers in protecting doors, walls, floors, etc. Our floor sustained scratches, our front door trim suffered a large dent, and our driveway edge was cracked significantly. A part of a leg was broken on a dresser. Items were not moved to where they needed to go, and some items were assembled incorrectly (such as the bedframe). The attitudes of the movers were also disappointing – we felt like they were blaming us for having large/heavy items. Work seemed much slower on the unload, and we often caught many of the movers standing around. Their language, especially within earshot of our children, was not professional, including sexual references and cursing. In the end, the cost was much higher than anticipated (though they claimed it was under the original inflated estimate); if the service was commensurate with the service, this would have been acceptable, but the damage to the house and moved items, attitude of the movers, and hassle we experienced trying to move items to where we wanted made the entire experience frustrating. This contrasts greatly with You Move Me’s slogan and mission statement, which calls into question the sincerity of their words. When confronted with our concerns over the experience, we received an email attempting to blame us for most of the difficulties and providing empty promises to address damaged items. Perhaps some crews are better than others with You Move Me, but our experience was disappointing and frustrating. With many moving companies competing for business, we will never employ You Move Me again, and we highly recommend others to stay away from them.

  9. Professional, careful movers! Highly recommend!

We moved about an hour away from OKC. Our move was complicated, we had to load up one day, store overnight, have the movers clean out a storage unit the next morning, and move both trucks to our new home the next day. I was a ball of nerves, but was put at ease by the care our move team (Derek, Cameron, and Joel) had with our belongings. They wrapped each piece of furniture with blankets, tape, and plastic wrap. Our stuff arrived in immaculate condition. Team with respectful and communicated where pieces and boxes would go at the new home. Moving is stressful enough. These guys did an amazing job. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hire You Move Me to take the hard stuff off your plate!

  10. They are awful.

Quoted 1,000. By the time moving day arrived I had even less furniture so fully expected it to be even less. 2 bedroom home took them 10 hrs!! Meanwhile they totally damaged a new refrigerator. And they charged us 1700! Been working with a customer support person who is suppose to be getting a whole new front of refrigerator replaced and refund us the 700. Instead got 400. Stay clear if this company!

  11. Beware.

The only word I can use is BEWARE. Do not hire this company. I used You Move Me to both pack and move me from one city to the next, upon which damage was done to the condo property by the movers. The company took full responsibility (right off the bat) and assured me, verbally and in writing, with multiple emails, that they would pay for the damages. Similar to other customers, when I followed up with the invoice (damage was almost $1,500), I was ignored, dismissed, promised a payment would be made but never was. I got bounced around from the local office to headquarters, I spent countless hours, 9 months and nothing, no matter who I talked to. This company is unprofessional, does not take accountability and lacks in customer service. It took hiring a law firm and legal fees to get You Move Me to pay attention and take accountability. Please save yourself the hassle and legal fees if something goes wrong.

  12. No customer service.

We used this company for a move into storage and then several months later into our home. We were very happy with the three person crew who moved us from our old home. When it was time to move into our new home they only sent two people. As a result I had to work along side the two movers to get things moved into our home. A leg on a dresser was broken in the move and for the past three months I have spoken with the franchisor a number of times and have left multiple messages and emails with the local franchisee. I have never received a call or any other response from either. I can only assume they hope I will tire of reaching out so they can avoid any expense in addressing the damage.

  13. Terrible experience.

I really don't know how this company manages to stay in business in Toronto. They overcharged me and when I complained they ignore my emails. They did not finish the moving job, and actually lied to me because they wanted to leave--I asked how much was left in the house and they told me a few boxes and two chairs. When I got into the house later, I saw that there was too much for me to move myself. They refused to come back the next day to finish the job, and I was forced to hire another company to help me finish. The movers themselves did not know how to pack a truck properly necessitating two trips to a storage unit. During the trip to the unit, I was forced to wait for 40 minutes in blistering heat while they disappeared apparently to have lunch. I strongly recommend that everyone avoid this company.

  14. Find anyone else. Anyone.

I have never met a bigger bunch of buffoons in my life. I have given this company thousands of dollars to help pack, then load a trailer. We had huge problems with them simply packing (how hard can that be?) and then the “area supervisor” came onto the scene. He is an ex-Marine (name is Shawn, I believe) and it all went downhill from there. The estimator severely underestimated the scope of the job, and when I was told five guys working for eight hours would suffice, they got about half of the remainder of the house packed. They were supposed to be back the next day simply to load the truck, but without everything packed, they were unable to do that. Shawn, the supervisor, was utterly unapologetic, and, actually quite confrontational with me. They did return the next day to supposedly finish packing, but with time running out, they reverted to trying to load the trailer with the little they had packed. The team leader (or whatever you call him) of the five guys was spineless and absolutely ineffective at having his team pick up the pace and try to finish the job. The team leader himself ended up taking on the responsibility of packing the kitchen, and what we found (on the other end of the move) was that $100-$150 pans had been nested inside of each other, and were severely gouged after rattling around in a box all the way to Arizona. In fact, after offloading the truck, every single piece of expensive anything was gouged, damaged or broken. Items were packed without any protection, the glass on a China hutch was broken, desks were completely marred, even our wooden headboard to the bed was damaged beyond repair. We just this evening opened another kitchen box, and found the food processor stacked right against several other small kitchen appliances, with absolutely no cushion between them. This is our hard earned money that we spent to purchase these items, and these complete morons have trashed just about everything we own. I’m completely appalled. To make matters worse, during the process, I emailed the head of Customer Service. She asked me to send photos of the poorly packed boxes, which I did. She said she was going to escalate my issues to the top, but I have heard nothing in months. I emailed her several times since then, inquiring about the status of my terrible experience, and she can’t even find it in her heart to even reply to the emails. These idiots have caused thousands of dollars of damage, and they truly don’t care. I don’t understand the good reviews of this company. From the peon packer/loader all the way to the top, this is a huge ripoff of a company, and I am really angry. Nobody responds, and I guess we are just going to have to suck it up and replace all of the things they damaged. Buyer beware - this company couldn’t care less. Pathetic.

  15. Beware of Underquoting.

BEWARE! I hired them last week to move me last minute based on a referral I had from a realtor. They underpriced the job during my initial quote and stuck it to me in the end. The lady on the phone quoted but mislead me .. FYI it's your job to know how long a move takes..Moving is stressful and expensive and the last thing needed was to come up with an extra $300 at the end of the move because it should have been quoted as a 4-6 hour move not a 3-4 hour move. They sent 2 guys and I had 2 friends help and it took them 4.5 hours- uh heck yes they under quoted it! I argued with 2 managers for this company and in the end I was left still paying way more than I should have. To top it off the movers ran over a bottle of cleaner left it tipped over on the carpet so I have a huge round bleach stain and I reported it to them and they have yet to pay for the damages or submit a claim to their insurance company to cover the damages. After reading other reviews about them and their pattern of under quoting and hitting people at the end of the job- I wish I had hired a more reputable company.
