  1. My 2 Mile Move!

I was referred to this company by a friend and I'm so sorry that I listened to her! The movers arrived 3 hours late, no phone call to let me know what was going on, no contact whatsoever. I called earlier to confirm the move and they had to record, or at least no one could find the record.

Finally they arrived and moved all my belongings, however many items were missing. I wonder if the management gets a cut of the things that they take because they walked off with some expensive items.

I am so very unhappy with this overall experience and the total lack of communication and the lying. I was quoted 5 hours at a cost of $1,000 or under and it ended up costing me over $1,600 only to have my things stolen and as of this time they have not been returned. Not only that, they took the casters off of my dresser and LOST THEM! And my hardwood floors are scratched in several places.

I have reached out to Brad somebody in their customer service department and as of this date he has not returned my calls. I think this is a matter for my attorney and will be turning this over to him in the morning. I look forward to going to court! Maybe I can get all my money back for the lousy job they did!

I will NEVER, EVER refer anyone to this company as I certainly don't want anybody else to have to experience what I experienced in an already stressful situation. These guys are just not what they say they are. Be careful! Be very careful!

  2. Moving all household to storage.

My husband and I were so impressed by the care they gave all of our things even if they weren't high quality. They worked so hard and had great attitudes, even added a little humor at such a stressful time for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

  3. The best full service moving company!

We used YMM for our recent move and they were amazing - AMAZING! Provided all packing materials, packed up our whole house, labeling everything perfectly, and moved every last item into our new home, into the appropriate rooms. Not one thing broke, no damage to anything in either home, efficient, impressive customer service and very well priced. I never thought moving day could be so easy! We were so impressed. Would absolutely recommend them.

  4. Amazing Service!

Very professional movers and great customer service! I would recommend them to anyone. They arrive on time and protect every single piece of furniture.

  5. Recent Move.

I recently moved with this company and they were great from start to finish! Everyone was really helpful when I needed to set up a last minute move. The two guys that came out were great. They took such great care of my belongings and wrapped everything before they took it out of my house. I'll definitely use them next time I move.

  6. Never use this company.

The only thing I am thankful for with this moving company is that the new buyers had their final walkthrough a few days after we moved out so we had a chance to paint and patch the walls they damaged, get new blinds for the ones they destroyed and to clean up the complete mess they made. The amount of damage they did to my walls, they items they just didn’t move, and the amount of texting instead of working I saw - I am about to dispute the charges with my credit card company. They said they couldn’t get the box springs to my beds down my stairs and said it wouldn’t be worth my time for them to try, so they just left them. It took my husband and father 5 minutes to get these down the stairs. You can’t just leave things in a house! Thankfully they left so much of their moving equipment and tools that we were able to wrap these up and move them to our new house.

My husband and I moved all boxes and smaller personal items leaving only big furniture for the movers. We had three beds, two dressers, a desk, an armoire, a dining room table with 6 chairs, a small fridge, a book case, an empty filing cabinet, a couch, three small decorative chairs, some patio furniture, a coffee table, 2 rugs, a side table and two small wall cabinets. We even took apart the beds and had everything ready to be moved! My husband was even moving the furniture down to the truck with them! And it still took them 3 HOURS to load the truck to move to my house. 3 HOURS!!

One man continued to bring the lightest things possible to the truck to stand there and text. I would be in the middle of speaking to him and his phone would start ringing and he would walk away from me and answer it! They arrived at 8:30 and ten minutes later this guy took a 20 minute bathroom break – I know this because I was still moving my personal items to my car and needed to get in there. By 9:30 everyone had to take a 15 minute break, but it was ok because they were almost done – there wasn’t much left. 2 hours later they finally left our new house with our damaged furniture.

I had a brand new bedroom set that they didn’t even wrap and was completely damaged. One of the dresser legs is completely broken off. My footboard looks like I dragged it down the street there are so many dents and scratches. They offered me $65 for the damage. I laughed.

By the time the truck was loaded I just wanted them out of my house. We got to our new house and we were told they don’t put any furniture back together. That actually worked out well because I wanted them out of my house as soon as possible. But is something to note if you are expecting that to be included.

I was referred to this company by my realtor and after my horrible experience she will never be suggesting this company again. I will also be actively telling anyone I know to never use this company. You would be better off renting a truck and finding people off Craigslist. I would have trusted them more.

  7. Quality of movers.

This must be a different company from all the positive reviews I have seen. It was by far the worst move I have ever experienced. We were quoted a price with the promise of one day to pack and one day to move. What we received was a bill $1400 over quoted price and an incomplete job.

The workers showed up 30 minutes late each day, packed the first day for 6 hours, charged us more than the quoted price with the explanation they did extra to ensure the move the following day was faster. On moving day, it took them 12.5 hours to move us out and in to our new home. They were not finished until 1015pm and by that time, we just wanted them OUT of our house.

The following day, my husband went to our previous home and found many items that had not been moved; see attached pictures. When my husband called the company to inform them of missed items and asked when they would be able to finish the job, he was told “Well, we’ve already lost so much money on this job, I don’t know if we can get anyone out there”. This is the company you will be hiring; if you want a moving company that grossly underestimates time it takes to move, charges you for their miscalculations and does an incomplete job, this is the moving company for you. If you want a moving company that does the job right (heck even COMPLETE), this is NOT the company for you.

  8. Broke the TV, ripped open a king size mattress.

We paid an exorbitant amount for full service, pack move unpack. The move was 1 hour away. After they left we found out broken items, cracked TV, and ripped open a $2000 mattress. Total damage over $5000. They even took an expensive computer screen, and didn't give it to us until few days later. At the end the manager, John Vandeberg, told us they can give us $147 for all damage, that is 60 cents per pound of things damaged. Total liars, deserved a police report for things they took. Don't get fooled by John's professional talk, he is a professional scammer.

  9. Don't use this company.

Beyond angry! Quoted me an estimated time of 5 hour to complete a one-bedroom pack and move. Took the mores over 10 hours to pack and load -- not one box was labeled and they used my clothes to wrap fragile items! Took them another 10 hours to unload and damage most of the items! Couch completely destroyed (in pieces) along with damage to the new building. Multiple boxes, an end table, my Nintendo and various other items never showed up at all! Owner is unapologetic, rude and unwilling to negotiate a fair settlement.

  10. Never Use Again.

Very displeased, when they bid $600 over the phone, I decided to move everything but the furniture, was expecting to be around $400. They were to send two guys but sent three, had 27 pieces of furniture and four totes, no clothes, no boxes, no lose items, 7 of the 27 pieces were a entertainment center already broken down, all of my furniture was broken down, it was pick up and move, all but two items and the four totes took two people to move, the third guy had nothing to do. I was not there and had a friend stand in or things would have been different, they charged $745.00! I moved 1/2 mile down the street.

When I complained they gave me a $100.00 credit, what I wanted that I did not get was for a manager to come to my house and look at the 27 pieces and explain to me why it took four hours, three guys and $745.00.

Never, Never, Never again, if you read this and you still use them you have no one to blame.

  11. Poor communication and reliability on schedule.

Communications and sticking to the scheduled time promised was very very poor. We were not provided a contact about the local agent until one week before the move, all calls were directed to a calling center elsewhere and it was difficult to locate communications we have previously placed. There was an email error from our side (for which we apologize) and we could get the inventory confirmed (call center not following up properly about the move, but got tons of promotional emails instead!), hence they moved our previously scheduled time to 4 hours later without notification. And they got even late because they had a backlog with their jobs plus went to the destination address instead of the original. By the time the actual moved happened it was 7 hours late. This very disappointing and dissatisfying!

  12. Nice guys, poor attention to damage + cost scam.

Not pleased at all. We were given a quote. When the movers arrived suddenly that cost didn't include this or that and the total changed. And they tried to get an extra $500 for insurance. Several items were damaged. All fragile boxes were clearly marked by us, but they paid no attention, often stacking on top of them and such. I then felt very pressured into giving a tip as they all stood around me looking at me fill out the billing on the tablet. Not professional from start to finish. Most of the damage items weren't even found until after, as you can imagine with the chaos of a move. The guys worked hard and were polite, at least.

  13. Total Move.

On 6/13/17 used this company for my local move in Collierville, TN. I would not use again or recommend them to anyone. Poor service. They gave me price of $99/hr for 2 men but bill showed price of $109. I call and they said they would refund the difference but have not seen a check yet. They also charged me for 3.25 hrs when they only pulled up to the apartment at 8:15am, I looked at my watch when they got out of the truck, and was gone from the new apartment at 11:10am. They said they back up there time 15 minutes from the time I signed there form which is after they do there walk thru. Since it was only 20 pieces of furniture and all in two rooms that took maybe 2-3 minutes. The time they were actually at one of the two apartments was less then 3 hrs. I only had 20 pieces of furniture to move and had already taken the backs off the couch and disconnected the washer and dryer. All they had to do was wrap and move. The two guys were busy the whole time but not with a lot of speed. This was there only job for the day so wanted to draw it out. The drive from one apartment to the other was only 13 miles down the same road so 3 hrs to move the small amount was ridiculous. At the new apartment they also dropped the dolly against the wall and put a really big dent in the wall. They said they would have someone to come and fix but have not heard from them yet. They also brought the wrong dolly, per the two workers, and had to use an old one that wasn't exactly right for the job. Would I use or recommend this company again? NO way.

  14. My awesome moving experience with You Move Me.

The people you have working with you that moved me were some of the best I've ever encountered. They were quick, courteous and extremely efficient. They wrapped every piece of furniture and treated it like it was their own. I got way more than I expected and will recommend them to anyone I know that will be making a move.

  15. Things Stolen - You Move Me Couldn't Care Less.

You Move Me South Jersey did a move for me on May 5th, 2017 and I could not be any unhappier with it. I gave them over a month to make things right and to avoid getting this negative review but they did absolutely nothing to prevent this. I hired a 3 man crew to move all of my large furniture, nothing else, from Cherry Hill, NJ to Voorhees, NJ. They showed up somewhere in the 2 hour window and came off as extremely nice, almost too nice. In hindsight, this was probably to butter me up and hopefully I would let down my guard which I did. They asked me to borrow screwdrivers to take apart a bed and a mirror that was attached to a dresser, which I thought was strange that movers didn't have simple hand tools on them. So the first half of the move went fine besides some scratches down the walls but that was kind of expected. Once the truck was packed up, the movers and I both drove away at the same time but they arrived at my new house an hour later than me because they had to stop for lunch. By the way, we were charged for the hour that they were eating lunch. Anyhow, they arrive at the new house and everything took about three hours to take off the truck and place in the house. With a 3 man crew it is almost impossible to keep an eye on them the entire time especially when anything small and of value has already been moved in and is spread throughout the house. Everything seemed to go smooth, gave them my credit card info and each person a very generous tip and bottles of water and they were on their way. An hour later, I went to hang up a few things on the wall so I went to the garage to get my Milwaukee power drill and to my surprise it was missing along with the battery and charger. I had just used it the night before so I immediately knew it was the movers who stole them. I also had a complete never used DeWalt power drill set (Drill, 2 batteries, charger and case) on the other side of the garage, completely away from anybody. The DeWalt set was also missing! I immediately called the You Move Me number (they are located in Canada) and was told that they would contact the general manager at the South Jersey location and he would get back to me. A few days later, still no call back. So I call them again and they act like they have no record of me calling. So I explain the situation once more. The guy on the phone actually told me that this was the first time he has ever heard of stealing at this company! Seriously? You work at a moving company and you have never heard of stealing?! So I get the same old story, "this is unacceptable and I will get to the bottom of it and get back to you." A few more days later, still no word from them. I call again, this time they listen to my problem and then give me the local number to call. They said I have to deal with someone at the local office. So I call and get a voicemail, I have continued to a get the voicemail for the last 4 weeks with no call back. I am now out of at least $600 because of this company. I went from having an extra drill to having zero drills and having to borrow one from a friend. If you are reading this, please do yourself a favor and use another moving company unless you can have an eye on all of them the entire time. There is tons of moving companies out there, do your homework before you hire one because it might be you next who is missing something valuable or even worse something sentimental.
