Excellent Moving Company.
I used 495 movers July 22, 2013 to move my 2 bedroom apartment. 495 Movers did a great job moving my apartment. Monti came out and did an on-site estimate of my items and quoted me a price of $1110 for 5hrs of moving that INCLUDED EVERYTHING, there were no hidden charges, most companies charged for every little thing for the packing and wrapping, but with 495 Movers it was all included. They even gave me free brand new boxes, as much as I needed, tape, and wrapping paper since I wanted to pack myself. I had a 2:30p start time, the crew chief called when they were on their way and the 3 man crew were on time, very professional and courteous. They wrapped all the furniture in blankets and shrink wrapped for added protection. When it looked like they were running behind, both Monti and Tom called and reassured me it was fine and they would stay on scheduled. They knew I was on a budget and needed to get it done within a certain time frame, so they worked fast and efficiently to get it done without compromising the move. They were no damaged or broken items. These guys were great, they kept the move on schedule and kept me within the $1100 budget I was quoted. Moving from MD to VA.
They were early by about 20 minutes, which was actually a good thing for me. I gave them a quick tour of what needed to be done and they were very fast & efficient in packing up my items. Lots of padding & shrink wrap were used, which was nice! All in all the move was done in about 4.5 hours! I am very happy with the choice I made and would recommend them to others!
Professional movers.
The guys came on time and they were very motivated.
All my belongings were treated like they were their own.
The big furniture were disassembled and assembled again and arrived without a scratch.

They're worse than liars.
They kept trying to charge me move; the items arrived beyond when estimated. Worst of all, numerous items were either broken - furniture, pottery - and missing (i.e. stolen - and the company never found them or offered to look for them). A laptop computer, several expensive prints, and vintage (collector's items) plates, plus bank and personal records. They pressured me to let them back things, saying if I did the packing it wouldn't be a "professional" packing job and not insured. So they packed the kitchen. Their "professional" packing job was to use grey sheets of paper - no bubble wrap or such protective materials - and simply wrap things in paper, then throw them in willy nilly in haphazard fasion into boxes; in this way many things were broekn. After the move, they outright lied to Yelp about a review I tried to post there, threatening Yelp I think to get them to pull my review off (they succeeeded - and a number of their limited reviews were created by friends. They changed their name only a few years ago - usually a red flag as it often means a company is covering up something - and have complaints about them with the Better Business Bureau. They hooked me up with an insurance company that ended up refusing to back any claim.
Best Movers at the Best Price.
Our 495 Movers Team of Alex, Byron and Roberto arrived at our home on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and had our 1-bedroom apartment loaded before 12:00 noon. Took apart all the furniture, padded and taped each and every part (they must have used 20 rolls of packing tape!). Alex, our foreman, clearly explained the paperwork and the process before they went into action; he repeated the process thoroughly after we were loaded.
Byron and Roberto arrived about two hours earlier than expected on Thursday morning; they left Northern Virginia headed for our new home in Charleston, WV at 3:30 a.m. (Good for us, but I'm sure tough for them!). We saw the exact same speed, professionalism and attention to detail as they unpacked and reassembled our possessions.
My wife and I highly recommend the 495 Movers Team for your next move!

I found 495Movers on another review site and am very glad that I used them. I moved across several states in the northeast and they were punctual, very professional and overall great to work with. They made sure that my furniture was wrapped & padded appropriately and taped boxes if they weren't packed to their safety standards by me. I had no problems in the setup process, in the move when they picked up my stuff at 9am or when they delivered it at 3pm. Tom was very reachable by phone and email and helped answer any of my questions very promptly. I'm really glad that I used 495Movers!

These guys were awesome!! When making my appointment Jacob explained what services were available and the fees included. They were friendly, professional, neat, and very fast! They packed all of my furniture and plasma TV's safe and secure. I will most definitely be using there services again and I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a fast and safe move. Honest company-great experiences.
I was so stressed about the move and I was so happy to find this company. The costumer service guided me through the process and reassured me that they include everything in the price. After reading so many horror stories about the moving industry, that was a huge relief. Then on the day of the move, they came on time and they were great. The men were super quick and handled my things with great respect. Before I even knew it the move was done. They even bit the estimate by half an hour. I truly recommend to use their services if you need to move. They sure made my move look easy and the experiences was far less stressful than what you imagine.

We recently used 495 movers for our move from Rockville MD to Teneck New Jersy. Jacob, the General Manager who helped us with our moving reservation, was very courtious and professional and gave us the confidance to choose 495 movers over a few other reputable moving companies in our area. The team arrived at our doorfront on time with all the neccessary matiriales as promissed, they covered our furnitures and protected our fragile items in the most respectfull manner. Even though the trip out there was not easy, as we have discided to move on a Friday when trafic was heavy, they managed to finish their work as esstimated. Great Service!
Setting this up was easy; Jacob was very informative and answered all my questions. I appreciated his calling me the day before the move to confirm.
The movers did a great job. The were quick and efficient, and made sure to protect my stuff. The only issue is that they arrived an hour later than I expected. They did call me after they were 20 minutes late. But considering their great work with my move, I can easily overlook the tardiness.
I highly recommend 495 movers to anyone who wants a reasonably-priced, professional and low-stress move. I will definitely use them in my future relocations.

495 movers came through in a pinch! We were headed to Pensacola with the military and our move had been pushed back by another company due to inclement weather. 495 movers came out to do a home assessment the day I called. 5 days later we promptly moved. The workers were on time and clean-cut. Both were incredibly efficient and respectful. Our goods arrived sooner than the stated time in excellent condition. After the move we necessitated further documentation for military reimbursement. 495 moving staff, Jacob, was quite prompt in getting us the information we required. We will definitely look to them for future moving needs.
