The three-man team showed up on time within the expected window and were able to move everything efficiently, while being careful not to damage any items. I was in a big hurry to move my bosse's daughters furniture into a storage facility. I found 495 Movers while searching on the web. They were great. They were so professional and were able to fit me in their schedule. I had contacted several companies and nobody was able to accomodate my needs. One of the most pleasant and professional experiences my family has been through. The company was genuinely concerned about our well being and it showed in the quality of work provided. As we had to wait thirty days for the delivery due to timing with the move in date, 495 wrapped and stored our household goods. At delivery, there was not any scratches nor damages. The guys who did the physical work were friendly and quick. They dismantled the furniture and rebuilt the same as if it was their own. Morti was great to work with and listened to all my concerns and answered my questions without hesitation. I will recommend Morti and 495 Movers to everyone. .
Recent Moving Experience.
We just moved from an apt to a single family home and although I had movers booked, my builder did not get the occupancy certificate on time for our previously booked move. In panic, I started searching for movers online and decided to contact 495 Movers. Tom was responsive, professional and most importantly extremely flexible. Since I first spoke with him, our moving date changed a couple more times and Tom was easy to talk with and never irritated. He understood the challenges when it came to the uncertainty of things and made the move very simple. The moving crew was also extremely professional, timely, and easy to work with. We ended up needing boxes at the last minute and they were more than happy to accommodate. It made the entire thing so much more pleasant. I have recommended 495 to two of my other friends who are moving in the next month. The only thing (which was shared with me when I booked the move) was that they add a 5% charge if you pay with credit card - other than that - it was fantastic! Thanks to Tom and his crew!!
Great Movers!
Was a wonderful moving experience - I highly recommend 495 movers! They were up front about everything, never felt I was being taken advantage of. They were always prompt and responsive and fast. And since I was moving between two apt builidngs and had to reserve the loading dock/service elevator their promptness was super important. I've had some bad moving experiences before, but not with this company. I couldn't have been more pleased. If I have to move again I plan to use them. .

This company was overall excellent - on time, efficient and no damage. The terms of the sale were exactly as estimated. The movers had boxes and tape to secure items that were not properly packed. The manager of the move (Tom) made sure that the movers were efficient. There were three movers and we had a deadline in terms of the window for using the freight elevator at the new building. The only potential negative was that two of the movers did not speak English; however, the manager of the move was very effective in translating so that the move went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this company.

I have used 495 Movers for my last three moves and each time the service, professionalism and promptness has been wonderful. The company is very responsive, calls on the day to let you know of their status and finished the job well and early. Fast, efficient, organized and very professional! Every measure was taken to ensure my belongingswere properly and safely transported. All packing material is included in the rate, you also can come to the company storage and pick up packing material. Nate from the office, tom and three men who were in charge of the move were a pleasure to work with. My experience with this company was very positive! I will used them again soon but I hope not to soon.

Follow Up to Previous Review.
After the death of my father, we needed to clean out his apartment. We hired 495 Movers because of their ratings by customers. Our experience was very good. They were prompt, worked hard and were friendly. Price was same as the estimate. Everything was taken from the apartment and delivered to a storage locker to be taken care of at a later time. We watched everything moved out of the apartment, and when the storage locker was packed by 495 Movers, we checked their truck and there was nothing left on the truck. When were were able to start unpacking the locker, two very important and irreplaceable items were missing. I saw these items being moved out of the apartment by the movers, but they were no where to be found in the locker. One item was a wooden footlocker made by my father when he was in high school, which contained very sentimental items. The other item was a tool box filled with very old tools, which were better made than what you can get these days. We contacted 495 Movers and they checked their lost and found, but of course the items were not there. It took us a year and a half to clean out the locker, so it took that long to see the items were missing. We also found that a box marked "very fragile" had a large beautiful lamp, with a heavy brass base and hand painted ceramic shade was broken because the base was packed on top of the shade.

495 movers have moved me 5 times in the last 7 years as I am moving almost every year. The movers were professional and prompt and did an outstanding effort to complete the job within the time frame. I am happy that every time I move with them I can expect the same quality of service and more. Very professional service. People and hard working men's that do everything with a smile to keep me happy. I love working with them. I will continue doing so in the future. We have only had wonderful experiences with 495 Movers. My husband and I have worked with them several times and the service has always been great. They have moved the entire contents of our old house into our new house. They have also helped us move appliances and gym equipment. They are fair and give you the price from the start so that there are no surprise additional charges. We highly recommend them!!

Everyone at 495 movers was attentive and courteous during our out of state move. They had the best pricing of all the metro DC movers and service was excellent.
They were the first to give me a very accurate estimate for my move and answered all of my questions throughout the process without delay. The movers were careful, kind and respectful during the packing, moving and unpacking process. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving in or out of state.

Both my parents and I used 495 movers to move me into an apartment and my parents into a condo from a 4 bedroom/3 bath single family home. It was so easy..they provide you with all the supplies needed, come on time, and are diligent in moving your boxes and furniture. In addition, the service offered to take apart and put together the beds was well managed and fast! I highly recommend 495 for your next move!
Long distance move.
495Movers was amazing. I moved because of work along with several colleagues. I went first and was pleased enough by my experience that I recommended them to my colleagues as well. They were prompt, and amazingly fast while maintaining quality (nothing broke and the move was totally pain-free). If I ever have a reason to move into or out of the DC area again, I will be using them without question.
