  1. Scam-like moving company

Centennial is a company that cares more about it's image and reviews than anything else. They have lied, scammed and bribed me to change my review.

We did a move from London, ON to Gatineau, QC and hired Centennial to help us move. The pickup team didn't list items they disassembled themselves in the inventory (pictures attached, see items 251 & 281) and hence the dispatch team were unwilling to assemble any of our furniture items. We were told by the delivery team to contact Centennial to see if they can fix it.

After trying to contact Centennial they kept deflecting and saying they weren't responsible anymore since we were 'offered' to have our items assembled by the delivery team (we were not!) and that we had apparently declined their 'offer'. They also kept deflecting to other furniture items that we had disassembled ourselves, saying that they didn't have to reassemble them (which I am ok with, but those were not the items I was referring about!)

I cannot recommend Centennial in good faith to anyone. Their team operates in an extremely unprofessional manner and they try to gaslight you as much as possible with regards to what was discussed with them.

I will give credit where due, the people physically moving our items were great and the price is fair. Everything would have been fine if the company didn't scam us and then lie about it.

Their claims department was willing to offer us $100 as a 'gesture of good faith' while simultaneously saying they had no part of the blame in this. The kicker was them telling me I had to change my review in order to receive this claim and were not willing to give me my claim until I changed my review!

  2. Not intimidated by requirements

Our move wasn’t the textbook kind—the first company we contacted didn’t bother to even answer our request for an estimate. A friend recommended Centennial and immediately they did everything right. Instead of being intimidated by our needs they came up with options, getting the job done efficiently and saving us money in the process. Their crews were punctual, polite, professional and hard-working. They communicated well and followed through. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or to use them again!

  3. Made it easy

Had a really great moving experience with Dima, Mike, and Jose. All 3 guys showed up early in the AM, on time, ready to go, and easy to work with. I was moving a long distance from Calgary to Toronto and these guys were able to pack up our furniture from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor with ease. (Well let's face it, it wasn't easy, but these guys made it look that way.) Overall the guys were efficient, fun to converse with, and didn't waste any time loading and unloading. The rates were also very reasonable.

  4. Great service

Helped my mom move across the country. Everything was pretty stressful with the exception of the movers. Centennial was great! They were on time, movers on both sides were super friendly. Affordable and so far, nothing was damaged to our knowledge.

  5. Easy and Professional Moving

I used Centennial Moving to move my items from Toronto to Calgary. The sales and dispatch team were really helpful and always made sure that everything went smoothly and kept me updated on what was going on.

All the items arrived in Calgary and most of them were in good condition. I did unfortunately received a broken screen for one of my items but the claims team were generous to offer me some compensation for it.

Overall, I am happy that I chose Centennial Moving to move my items

  6. Instructions taken

I recently bought a house in Toronto so was moving from Montreal from an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment. I changed my move date a couple of times as refurbishment took a little longer than I had anticipated. I was told the movers would arrive between 8 .am and 8:30 a.m. They arrived early at 7:50 a.m. Mike, Martin and Serge completed the load quickly and professionally. I especially appreciated that they put the heavy items where I instructed at the delivery so I only had to unpack the boxes in the rooms where the items belonged. I will use them again.

  7. Great company /stress-free move

I had the joy of moving my senior mom from NB to Ontario during the pandemic. Not ideal timing but necessary. Dave helped elevate my stress and helped to organize it for us since I could not go to NB to help her prepare. The move was done safely and efficiently. Everyone that we were in contact with was friendly, patient and kind. Highly recommend this company for your moving needs.

  8. Great experience!

Moving can be stressful enough: centennial helped us make it easier. They are professional, efficient and quick! We would recommend them and would use them for our next move!

  9. Close to perfection

I needed to move a fair size one bedroom apartment worth of furniture from Calgary to Toronto. Centennial were the best. They arrived on time, packed everything perfectly, and finished on time. They also arrived early in Toronto. I am not quite finished unpacking but so far nothing is dented, broken, or scratched. If I ever need to move again, this is the company I would chose. Oh .. they were also the lowest priced of 5 firms who bid on the move. Perfect? I think they are as close to perfect as they get.

    Price: $2650

    From: Calgary to Toronto

    Size: 1 bd

  10. Last Minute Cancellation

Make sure to have a back-up plan, if you are thinking of using Centennial Moving to move you. They cancelled within 9 days of our massive long-distance move and offered another date they knew breached our house sale agreement. Ended up costing us thousands more. Really shoddy business practice and very unprofessional. Have a back-up plan! These guys may dump you.

  11. Key continuity

The entire moving process was very intimidating, but thanks to Eric my move from AB to ON went exceptionally well. Whenever I communicated with him he knew exactly where our last conversation had left off, and most of the time he was relaying to me that things were under control...which they were. I was extremely pleased throughout the entire process!

  12. I was anazed

This is the second time we have used this company and I would not hesitate to use them again! Centennial were amazing from start to finish. The staff were all friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done enough for us. The quote was amazingly accurate. Packers came, were very efficient – had my whole flat packed in an hour and a half from start to finish. When we received our things just over a week later (with a phone call the night before to tell us what time he was coming) not one item was broken!!!! I was amazed! Inventory list was made at the start, ensuring we got everything back. Very very very impressed. Not planning any other international removals but definitely recommend to anyone!

  13. Full recommendation

I’ve used Centennial Moving twice in the past year, and even recommended them to a friend, and each time the service, professionalism and attention to doing a job well done has been outstanding. Most recently, I moved from Vancouver to Toronto, and the teams that helped me were great. Everything was moved efficiently and effectively, and the process has been stress-free (which, given moving in a pandemic across the country, is saying a lot). Centennial Moving has been incredible, if you’re looking for movers, their team gets my full recommendation.

  14. Easy Experience

I moved interstate from Peterborough to Toronto with Centennial movers. I had heard so many horror stories from friends of all their worldly possessions going missing on the journey from province to province. It was a good decision. The movers arrived on the day with a truck with all necessary equipment, which made me feel very secure. The staff were all in uniform and were professional from start to finish. Exactly the same thing happened at my new home in Toronto and all my things were unwrapped and put in position in my new home which was on a very hilly driveway with a lot of stairs. Not a single murmur from the men and about the stairs. They all had smiles on their faces for the whole day. It was a very easy experience and I am a very happy customer!

  15. Poor customer service at the beginning. Right at sales coordiy

I was looking for a moving service from SK to BC. I was quoted by one of the so-called senior sales coordinator. Once I came to processing booking stage, he suddenly increase the price by almost 10 cents/lb. And his way of communicationwas rude enough to push customer away. I was totally disappointed on this company. You have such a wonderful name but bad experience towards customers.
