  1. Worst experience with a MOVER EVER.

    Do NOt use. They lie to you, lose your stuff, damage your property and will not return your call or email once they get your money.

    Worst experience of my whole life! CLS moving lost over 20 of my boxes and an end table. I was assured by the guys who put my stuff on the truck that I didn't need more wardrobe boxes than what I had. They told me not to worry that my stuff would be taken care of. When the delivery people arrived (later than they were supposed to) they refused to drive into my neighborhood and charged me $250 to deliver my property (even though there had been semis parked on this street many times). They balked to take a personal check but finally relented because that was all I had. Be prepared to hand over more money before they will give you any of your items! I had no choice to pay this extra charge because I wanted my stuff and believed I was getting back everything of mine that they picked up. They attempted to give me furniture that wasn’t mine and I refused to accept property that didn’t belong to me. The delivery drivers were awful and gave us a weird feeling. I was never asked to verify that I received everything. When I realized that so much of my personal stuff was missing (including irreplaceable heirlooms that had been in my family for generations as well as things that aren’t sold anymore) I contacted them to be told they COULDN’T help me! They never tried to open a claim or give me any forms. When I tried to make a claim with the BBB, CLS just kept giving me excuses and then closed the case WITHOUT a resolution!
    If you do use them, put as much as you can in big wardrobe boxes and mark everything clearly so you can identify that you got it all back. Have a great record of everything you own and go over everything before you sign saying you got it all. Be prepared for an extra charge for delivery. I personally believe you should find another trustworthy company, because these people don’t care about you or your property. My boxes looked like they had been wet at some point in the journey – the cardboard was warped on a lot of my boxes. Several things were broken, one box was very smashed up.
    I lost so much stuff from this move which has left me heartbroken and devastated. There is no way I can replace ANY of the items they lost, and it feels miserable to be so taken advantage of with no recourse. I estimate several thousands of dollars to replace the items they lost. I think this company doesn’t care about you or your stuff. I believe they took my stuff to resell, gave it to someone else, or threw it in the trash! Don’t trust these people with your belongings! Get a pod that locks so at least you know that your stuff won’t be lost! If you are tempted by their cheaper price, know that you most likely will not get everything back and you may have some damage to your items. You will lose more than you save by using this company to touch your personal property. I really wish I would have done my research because I would not have let them move my items at all. I have so much regret for trusting these people to do the right thing. Read other complaints because they are all true and this company will probably take advantage of you or your property in any way they can.

  3. Interstate Move from Georgia to Washington.

    Deal with CLS Moving at your peril! They cheated my 94 year old mother in two different ways that I know of. Do not be taken in by their low estimates or by the telephone charm of Sam and/or Sally, who are obviously well-paid to put a face of concerned helpfulness on this crooked company. First, CLS ignores the law that requires them to provide their potential customers with an estimate that includes replacement value insurance of lost/stolen/damaged items. Their estimates include "Basic Valuation Protection: $.60 per lb per article." If you get estimates from other movers who obey the law and include replacement value insurance, they will naturally be higher than the illegal CLS estimate. After the furniture is loaded on the truck CLS tells you that you must sign a waiver of full replacement value or the cost will be higher. If you do this and anything is lost or damaged you will be entitled to 60 cents per pound. Good luck getting even that pittance. I did not recognize this illegal tactic at the time. As with most people, moving was a fraught experience with many worries and this kind of trickery is easily missed. The bottom line of my first complaint with these people is that, because of their fraudulently getting our business by giving a low estimate, which illegally did not include replacement value coverage and requiring that we waive such coverage (or the cost would rise), when they lost 5 items from our shipment with a replacement value of about $580 and we filed a claim, they offered $24.60 for their "Basic Valuation" coverage. Second complaint is that we were supposed to pay about $1100 (40% of the total "binding estimate") upon delivery, but when the truck arrived the driver declared that we must pay $500 more for a "long carry." It was rather a long way, but I believe that the charge was exorbitant and based upon nothing but a self-serving estimate of distance, which I have since checked and found to be grossly inflated. We paid the demanded charges, of course. The alternative was to refuse to pay and have our goods taken away, which would have only cost more in the long run. We complained of the 5 lost items and of the inflated charges demanded on delivery. I spoke with "Ben" at CLS. He quickly decided that the items could not be located. Upon being pressed about the over-charge, he told me that the charges were justified but that the company had agreed to refund $250. I thought this was fair. He said that we would need to file a claim for the lost items and when a settlement was reached for compensation for them, the company would cut a single check to include the $250 reimbursement. After I filed the claim and received the $24.60 offer, I asked the claims people about the promised $250 refund and they told me that this amount (which I had included with an explanation on the claims form) would not be paid by the company. I then began a month-long attempt to contact Ben or his supervisor. They have refused to take my calls or to call me back. Obviously this empty promise was a lie and an attempt to get me off their backs. They want me to go away. I am not going away. (I do not understand why the heading of this review says "International move." It was an interstate move, Georgia to Washington.).

  4. Terrific Service!

    CLS did a great job from the instant I was contacted by their office. Through the whole process of coordinating pick up and delivery I can truly say I am a satisfied customer! Sally and Ben guided, instructed, and answered any questions I had through the whole process of moving my family and I to New Jersey. The 3 men crew that showed up on pick up worked so fast! The guys were out of my house packed up within 4 hours. In 4 hours they disassembled my beds, dressers, and even my flat screen tv from the wall mount :) Deliver took place over the weekend which worked great for me as I was starting a new job in a new state and could not afford any off days. As CLS promised the crew assembled everything in a professional and timely manner! Thank you CLS - I highly recommend.

    I am so pleased with this company and wish I could give them a 10 star review. I had to move on short notice for a job in Atlanta from Memphis. I found CLS Moving through a google search and contacted them. I spoke with the sales manager guy names Sam. Talk about being thorough this guy was going into detail on several things that other companies never discussed with me. I liked the price they quoted me which was $2750.00 and it included them doing all of my packing as I had no time to do it. I scheduled the move with these guys on 12/2/16 and the delivery was scheduled for next day in Atlanta. Crew showed up on time on the 2nd headed by a young fellow named Rico. Excellent crew as they had me fully packed and out of my house by 3pm that day. Me and my dog hit the road the same day and stayed in Atlanta that night with a friend. Crew was scheduled to be at my house on the 3rd at 1pm. I arrived at my new place at 12:45pm and they were already there waiting for me. Same crew as pickup quickly off loaded all my belongings and put together my two beds. Only thing damaged was a 10 year old bookcase which was falling apart anyways. These guys were done by 4:30pm. I was amazed as I had moved several times before and had never experienced this kind of service. I promised Sam a good review if I was happy so this is for you and all of the guys over at CLS Moving.     My sister recently moved with them to alpharetta GA , and she couldent be happier with the services they provided her ,
    when my move date got closer .. she advice me to use cls moving and storage since she had an easy and smooth transaction,
    I called them and was greeting by a wonderful Lady named sally , I had a wonderful experience working with her , she guided me trough the prepackaging as far as how to pack my belongings and box up everything in a good manner ..
    move date came a long and adam and his crew did an awesome job loading my stuff up and delivering it pretty quick to my new townhouse here in norcross Ga (close to my sister).
    and I've move before and this by far was a pleasant experience- price wise and moving experience.
    everything is settled ..
    I have no damages , and thanks for helping me hooking up the washer and dryer , life saver!
    next year im moving again and Ill defiantly USE them again.

    from the beginning they contacted me in regards to my move , to getting a quote , the crew that came and picked up my goods and delivered my goods was very good and professional.
    the phone Representative (sally) , who quoted me guided trough the whole move and provided with updates..
    she quoted me to move my 1 bedroom apartment for $1450 from Georgia going down to Tampa FL they crated my fragile bigger items such as mirror , flat screen tv and glass pieces , and wrapped my larger furniture with pads and shrink wrap , they did a wonderful job packing , overall im happy with their services , thank you CLS .

    The fact I even have to give one star is too much!! RUN!! Our entire move with this company has been nothing but a scam and a disaster. The company does not answer calls after they take your money, gave us a quote that was not even in the ball park of what they ended up over-charging us ($5k), sent one small truck to do the move and didn't send a big enough truck, had to have a second truck come the next day, they told us they would be there in the morning and ended up coming at 2, which delayed our closing, then they stepped through our ceiling, didn't pay for that to be fixed, which delayed closing even further, and broke everything in our home. I know that when you move stuff gets broken. They BROKE EVERYTHING. The main guy over our move was Rico. He said all he did was load the truck that other guys unloaded and reloaded it and he had never seen so much damage in his ENTIRE career. The damage to our items weren't just normal moving damage. Things that shouldn't get broken, were destroyed. We had just purchased a rainbow play system a month before we moved. They broke the main beam on it. It was supposed to be taken down and put back together at our new home but they didn't get to put it back together because they broke the main beam. The play set has been sitting in 100 pieces in my back yard ever since the move in December, rotting, waiting on a response on our claim that we have not and will not receive. This company lies and says they will make things right but they don't. They said they would pay for the damage to our ceiling, they didn't. They said they would have us moved out in 1 day.. It took 2 days, 2 trucks and a lot more money on our part. They told us if we did a half pack they would credit us for that. When they got there it wasn't on the invoice so they didn't. My children's toys were destroyed. They had a kid's Kraft kitchen that the doors are completely broken off of and can't be replaced because it ripped the hinges off. We had just paid off a very nice dining room set. When it arrived to our new home it was upside down and completely busted on the bottom. My grandfather clock is in a million pieces on the inside. The entire clock part fell off. It's been sitting in my living room looking horrible, waiting on some sort of response. They broke 3 of the 4 mirrors we had. My dresser was set on its side and the over hanging piece was broken. They broke my concrete planter outside and they tried to cement it back or something before they brought it to me and it's CROOKED! The way they "packed" stuff was atrocious. They took lamps and shoved them in boxes breaking the light part off. They took floral arrangements and broke every flower in the arrangement. They stored our furniture in some molded place too and our beds SMELLED LIKE DEATH when we got them back. There is a list of the rest of the damage. There's so much damage I can't even describe it all. We have pictures of everything. These people are scam artists. They took us for all we had and we haven't been able to afford to replace everything else they have damaged. They won't answer our calls and they won't respond on our claim. We have had to file a claim with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration because they had 120 to respond to our claim and didn't. If you think you are saving money by going with this company and "Sam" or "Sally" have lured you in, run for your lives!! They will disappear! Trust me!

  10. Warning Don't Use!!

    Really bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They told me they don't deal with subcontractors and they lied. They were 2 weeks late and I had things missing and a broken lamp. When I called to get my things back they never were found, never again. People save your money, paying all the money I did I really regret it. They said to file a claim for my damaged and missing items. Two days after I filed my claim, they called and said I wasn't getting anything back for writing a bad review. They said it was in the contract, read the fine print people. I guess I'm not getting one cent back.

  11. Rating of Pickup & Delivery CLS.

    I highly recommend CLS as a moving company. I really had not heard of CLS. I put my need on the internet and CLS right away contacted me. The manager and I talked and we scheduled a time for him to come out and assess my needs in terms of items to move. I felt that he was fair as I had already done my homework concerning moving and charges incurred. The team that came to my home for packing my items was super superb. "Those guys were serious about their job." I watched them handle my personal property and not one time was I nervous about damages. They worked so fast and knew what to do and how to do it. In my judgement they enjoy what they do. Their attitudes toward each other made me feel good that they had respect for each other and the job was first. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, definitely I give them a 10. My property was driven out of state. The delivery team was right on time. They periodically called to assure me of the time to expect them for delivery. These guys were like magicians. It was amazing to see them unpack and put things together so quickly. They too, were meticulous about what they were doing. I saw laughter and team work. They communicated with me for location of items to be placed. "They were on it." Not once did I see any frowns or lagging as to say I am tired. No rushing was involved. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, definitely I give them a 10. I would use CLS Moving and Storage again and will recommend them to family and friends. The cost was comfortable for me and I agreed to it. Again, I had already done my homework. Cost was reasonable for the service rendered. Thanks CLS.

  12. Worst Moving Company.

    CLS helped move my household goods from TN to TX and it was very painful. First they weren't able to provide me with a copy receipt with my transaction and it took, them almost 3 months to do so. 2nd they broke all of my furniture, so at their demands, I sent picture of all those that were broken, and the offered $600.00-699.00 to reimburse me for their carelessness.

  13. DO NOT USE CLS Moving & Storage.

    Beware! Do not use this moving company! Their cheap quotes are not worth it. I moved across country using CLS. They moved my mattresses on the OUTSIDE of the moving truck, wrapped in plastic wrap like saran wrap. They were soaked through from rain and completely ruined. They took my dining room table apart and were not able to put it back together. I put it back together and it is wobbly and cannot be stabilized because they lost some of the screws--this is an Italian table with metric replacement parts that I cannot get in the US. All of the boxes looked like they were thrown down several flights of steps; caved in and many of my bankers boxes were busted open. In addition, they left 10 items completely off the truck, including two dining room chairs, a floor lamp, and my vacuum cleaner! Then, they refused to give me a date when the rest of my things would be shipped to me. After a screaming argument with Robert, their "manager," he shipped my items through the US postal service, after telling me he would ship them UPS. After nearly a month after the date they packed my things, I received the last of my items from the post office. All they did in shipping my things was wrap them in plastic with no protection. I never received my floor lamp or my ironing board. They weren't missing; they were in the warehouse and in the list that Robert said he would ship. They just never sent them! In dealing with my claim, they insist, of course, that they only need to pay $.60 per pound, despite their extreme negligence and mistreatment of all of my belongings. After waiting 3 months for a settlement offer, they offered only $165 for all that damage! I refused the offer and have heard nothing from them since. I get NOTHING for all the lost items, not to mention the mattresses that I had to replace. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do not use this horrible, rude, negligent company! They do not care about you or your belongings.

    I called and spoke with Sally today who was extremely informative and was willing to go above and beyond in customer service. I really appreciate her patience and honesty.
    Great group of man came to my dunwoody apt wrapped my furniture , crated my tv and glass selves , blanket wrapped my furniture and loaded my belongings with care.
    Thank you for getting the job done , I highly recommend Cls moving and storage.

    I had an overwhelmingly pleasant experience with CLS Moving and Storage. They were very accommodating to my changing needs and remained flexible through the entire process. Everyone that I encountered, whether on the phone or in person, was very friendly and professional. I cannot thank them enough for their excellent customer service and eagerness to help! Thank you!
