  1. Very happy with cls moving & storage.

Hello, my name is Daniel. I got a phone call from Sally at CLS moving & storage couple of weeks ago with a few other moving companies calling me as well to give me moving quote for my move to California from Georgia. After talking to about 5-7 moving companies I decided to go ahead with CLS moving because I felt Sally was the most honest one and answered all my questions promptly and clearly. Plus their quote was one of the cheap ones and they also offered me 3 creates for free, when other moving companies wanted to charge me an additional $100 per create for my 2 LCD TV's and my mirror. Also for my glass dining top they wanted $199. Sally got it for me comped. The crew that showed up was super efficient and quick and also packed my furniture very tight and secured. I had no serious damages except some normal tear and wear for like 1 dresser. Overall I am very happy with CLS moving and would recommend it to anyone who needs a moving company. Sally kept communicating with me through out the whole moving process and delivery. I was told it will take 7-10 business days. However they showed up even earlier and delivered my furniture about a day before I was expecting it.

  2. My experience with CLS Moving and Storage.

This is my fourth time moving and this is the second time I've moved with CLS! I was referred by a friend who also moved through this company and I'm so thankful she gave me the link! Excellent company who really cared about my move, needs and competitively priced! Moving is a struggle and stressful enough as it is but with the help of their rep Sally always takes care of me. They get it all packed and loaded in a day and deliver to me from one side of the country to the other within 7 days!! This time around I needed time to find a place so I took advantage of the complimentary storage they had! Unlike the other two companies I've moved with before all my goods were returned in one piece :) Just like I was referred I have to refer you all to this great moving company! Thanks again CLS for making it calming and NOT overwhelming and stressful to me mentally nor pocket wise!

  3. Poor service.

The packers were very rude broke items and laughed about it played like kids and chased each other. We had to pay 4,000 more than the contract said and we can't get a hold of the claims department to file a claim. This company should be closed and there answer on the phone we treat you like family is a joke unless they break their family's items and lie to their faces which is probably true.the packers didn't speak English and the boss didn't listen they took things that didn't belong to them.

  4. Bait and switch - beware.

I spoke with Sally to set up my move and to get an estimate. The process seemed streamlined however some items were left off my list resulting in the crew attempting to charge me $700 extra. I took some items off my list in order to try to balance it out so that I wouldn't have to pay extra. On the opposite end, I was told I would have to pay extra for a long carry and extra stairs. As a widow with two young children I am supporting myself and kids on a social security survivor benefit income and did not have an extra $1,000 laying around. I was told by John and Serge that they would waive these extra fees and would give me $100 to get my sons' bunk beds put back together as they were broken down to planks of wood and a pile of screws which the crew at the destination end were unable to put back together. Still have not gotten any recompense or acknowledgment whatsoever. The company also did not protect my hardwood floors and left two gouged out gaping holes in the perfect floors, as well as several skid and scratch marks. Overall it seemed like a great company but I did not have a good experience from them and have gotten zero response so far to rectifying the serious issues that occurred with my move.

  5. My move from FL to GA.

From the 1st call I got from Sally to the guys showing up and following up to their word, I had a wonderful experience dealing with CLS moving and storage. Just last week I had to relocate because of a job change. My company moved me from Florida to Atlanta Ga. Sally promised me that the guys that show up are CLS employees and that they currently have a truck in route from Florida to Georgia and that my stuff will go on the same truck and get offloaded off the same truck 3-5 days later. Well the crew showed up Tuesday the 22nd, loaded my items up and drove it up to my new place here in Georgia. I got my goods over the weekend and everything worked out well. Thanks Sally for keeping your word and making my move work out just as planned. I'll definitely recommend my friends and family in case they need to move.

  6. Cheap and reliable moving company, thank you close moving.

I recently moved from Atlanta to New York city. I was a little reluctant to go ahead with CLS moving and storage. However, Sally told me they do over 500 pick ups a year and less then 2% of bad reviews they have. I personally know from owning a business how costumers rarely post good reviews when everything goes well. However if a little thing goes wrong right away to blow their steam off, they will go immediately to post a bad review. Anyhow, over the phone Sally was very professional and move estimate stayed exactly the same and they got my furniture delivered with no serious damages after 5 days only. Super happy I proceeded with this company. I would definitely recommend anyone to at least give this company a chance. Good guys and cheaper than most other quotes I have received.

  7. CLS not trustworthy.

I used CLS moving and storage for a long distance move. It was the worst experience, an absolute nightmare. I gave them the benefit of the doubt in the beginning but we were so unhappy because our first quote was almost $8000, which was in line with other quotes. We chose them based on they used their own team/employees to move us-no outsourcing is what we were told. We paid almost $14000 for the move in the end and our damages totaled almost $17,000. There was zero respect for our personal property. They picked up a team on the side of the road to deliver all of our hard earned possessions. They arrived drunk, got in a fight at our house, cussed at us bc we were upset about the damages, ran up and down the street to "show how strong they were" carrying out furniture. And then it has been one year and they still will not settle the deal after relentless pursuit on our end. Worst moving experience ever!

  8. Worst Movers stay away.

I moved my home goods from atlanta to New Jersey. This is such one of the worst move I ever experienced in my life. Totally un professional staff approach and delivery. They have broken my book case, damaged my dinning table, Couch and Still after 4 months I never even received the compensation from basic insurance which we sign up from the service.
Beyond that I was forced to move my article my self as the driver just came to move my 3 and 2 seater electronic recliner. One the worst junk in the moving industry.
Above all they never attend your calls and employee demand for Tip for the awful service. PLEASE DONT choose this movers and end up in vain. Stay away from this crap if you need a peaceful move.

  9. CLS Moving & Storage excellent moving Experience !

I have just recently moved from Atlanta GA to New York city, on the 23th of December
i was dealing with a gentlemen named Sam, they quoted roughly $1900 for my one bed room apt and told me it will take between 3-5 business days to arrive in New York city.
I swear I have never seen such a professional moving crew getting everything packed and on the truck so fast, it probably took them only 3 hours to load my apt to the truck and everything was packed perfectly.
Ahead of time Sam indicated that in order for them to deliver it to New York City there will be an additional $200 shuttle charge since a semi trailer cannot get in to the city, in addition their fuel surcharge on the contract was only 5% I have compared their quote to other moving companies that were non stop calling my cell to give me a quote and CLS Moving & Storage was the cheapest, all other companies wanted $350 - $500 shuttle fee and ad-least a 9% fuel surcharge.
i would definitely recommend this moving company to anyone that is moving, they are reliable fast and honest any my estimate did not increase price stayed the same like it was originally quoted !

  10. Fast next day move!

I recently hired this company for my move from Tennessee to Georgia , I must admit the crew that showed up worked very fast and were very cautious with my items as promised by my rep ,pick up took place on Thursday and I got my goods the next day which worked out perfectly for my tight schedule , I highly recommend cls and the good men that work there to any one who is looking to move , great company, great service!

  11. Smooth move!

Just got my stuff in my new hotlanta apartment , priced stay the same due to an onsite they performed , they quoted me 2800 for ny 2 bedroom apartnebt including stairs and long carry in the contract , my goods arrived a week later and the cree was vey nice and prompt , they did very well troughout my move , overall in satisfied with my move for la to atl , thanks cls!

  12. Stolen items from my home by CLS moving & storage.

Should you have anything of value, do not ever use cls moving company. They have a very well organized theft ring among their employees/movers.  The following is my personal experience. In November of 2013, CLS movers were hired to relocate (me) from north Carolina to Texas. My home was over 6,000 square foot, five bedrooms, with custom furnishings (Gail Brinn Wilkins, Asid interior designer - NC).  When the movers (3) showed up my residence, they were speaking among themselves in a foreign language (Hebrew). I found this odd it made me very uncomfortable. I asked the one gentleman, seemingly in charge - what they were saying?  He was so nasty to me, and the vibes were so uncomfortable, that my former housekeeper (dropping by to say our goodbyes) - would not leave me alone with them(making her an eye witness to any and all of these events). They then proceeded to move room to room, avoiding eye contact with me, refusing to speak English. When they finished eyeballing, whispering (in Hebrew), & pointing to my furnishings, valuables, & belongings - they proceeded to pack them. I asked any number of times to label the boxes (everyone does this?) - they flat out refused. They were rude, did not have the boxes available and/or space on their truck to accommodate many of my belongings. Once they ran out of boxes - they then proceeded to pack many of my valuables in garbage bags! I had been through a divorce proceeding & had a court order to vacate the residence, leaving me no choice but to allow them to do so. Luckily, due to it being a court order - I had taken photos of my entire home - prior to the arrival of CLS movers. I currently have photo's, including my closets (where handbags & shoes were stored) of every single item CLS movers stole from my home. The dollar value, was astounding (upwards of $150,000.00 ) - not to mention any number of stolen items had great sentimental value. I had been collecting vintage handbags for over 25 years - to give to my daughter, should I someday have one. I do have a daughter - they stole things belonging to my child. Listed are the items CLS movers stole from my home: multiple high-end vintage handbags (30), high-end designer shoes (40 ), antique lamps (2), end tables(2), paintings (7), rugs (2), silverware (2 sets located in buffet), etc. When I reported the theft, I was told by 'Robert in the CLS claims department' that my insurance would only result in $300 dollars @ the most! When CLS picked up my items - there were a total of 47 boxes & I have no idea how many garbage bags. When they dropped my items off - there were only 30 boxes & no garbage bags.  This meant they stole at least 33% of everything I owned. I have receipts from CLS clearly stating they picked up 47 boxes & dropped off 30. I also have receipts of all of the furnishings that were stolen (this was because I was utilizing a professional decorator to furnish the home) to substantiate my claims. Due to continuing litigation - I was forced to return to the state of NC. Due to the theft that occurred the year before (& I was so short on finances by this time),  I opted to contact 'Robert in the CLS claims department' - explaining that this was an opportunity for CLS movers to make a very wrong - right. He agreed (and then, in turn, contacted sam in sales & customer service, located in Georgia). They agreed to relocate me back to NC - for a minimal charge.  They flat out lied.  They turned around & outsourced my move to a company based out of l.A.  That moving company held my things hostage for almost two weeks, demanding they be paid in full - CLS would not return my phone calls ever sticking me with an even higher balance than the initial one! They are unprofessional, disingenuous, and morally bankrupt.  Make no mistake, this was an extremely well-organized theft ring. They knew exactly which items to steal, that would bring them the highest dollar amount value. Again, due to my home having been a marital residence, I took photos of my entire home (including the closets for which my shoes & handbags were located). I have photos of every single item CLS movers stole from my home that evening. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. I will be happy to forward lists, documentation, receipts, and photo's of all the items CLS moving company's - organized theft ring - stole from me, my home, and my children.   Needless to say, it took me months to unpack the 30 boxes - out of 47 ( numerous garbage bags) - because I was so emotionally upset to discover what all was missing of my valuables. My vengeful ex-husband had taken my marital assets, my home, my car, my dog, & my children. CLS moving company was there to help vacate me from my home for which I had lived with my children for over 12 years leaving me no place to go but back home to texas to live with my parents. When CLS moving company showed up that evening I was inconsolable & sobbing uncontrollably. I was exhausted, distracted, & devastated. They then proceeded to steal 33% of what I had left in this world leaving me very little faith in humanity these days. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly: candice.C.Fleming@dallasmail.com.

  13. No Integrity.

Read my story or not.. I tried to keep it as factual (and not personal) as I could.
I knew my shipment was at least 13 cubic feet smaller than the estimate, it took multiple phone calls and emails to get this final price subtracted from my last payment.   In my case, it's not as detrimental as it could have been.  Items inside of dresser drawers somehow got filthy.  One dresser was damaged on the top (chunk of wood taken).  Both my washer and dryer have much damage that I'm now going to have to try and claim with this company.  I would never recommend this company, I feel they have no integrity.  I am going to write multiple reviews in order to educate other customers on this company's failings.
I was offered a job but not yet contracted.  I called around for quotes and Sam Stevens (sales) with CLS Moving seemed willing to work with me regarding my household goods (HHG) pick up.  This company has horrible reviews (and good ones); I asked Sam specifically about certain reviews (backhanded additional charges for packing and charges for stairs.. a 21 day delivery window.. what is guaranteed) and his answer is moving over a thousand customers, some are bound to complain. So, I gave my deposit.  I also updated my inventory list (shipping is by cubic feet).   My contract finally came in and I was able to schedule my HHG pick up and delivery dates.  I scheduled my pick up for Saturday, January 10, 2015 and delivery on January 16th (told them delivery date was not negotiable).      Thursday, January 8, 2015, dispatch called me to confirm my pick-up and while talking I reiterated to him that I MUST have my HHG delivered to me in FL on Friday, January 16, 2015.  Said this was fine and we scheduled pick-up for morning window. I had a few questions so I called CLS to ask my questions.  Sam was out of town so I talked to Sally (customer service) and I asked my questions, updated my inventory list and asked her to confirm my pack-up and delivery dates (this was on Thursday, January 8); again, I reiterated I had to have my HHG on Friday the 16th (this is now the 3rd person I've told).  I told Sally I was flexible on the pick-up date but I must have my HHG in FL on the 16th.  She called dispatch while I was on the phone with her and they said that if I needed that (have already talked to him that day) then could they pack me up on Friday instead of Sat?  I agreed and said once again I needed my HHG on Friday the 16th.   As you can imagine, since Im writing this, on Friday the 16th around noon when I haven't heard from my movers yet, I called them.  I got dispatch and they said I wasn't getting my HHG until Sunday (the 18th).  He then tells me that he already told me this and I could not hold them accountable for delivery on the 16th.  They have a 3-day delivery window.  I simply hung up on them and called Sam and asked for a supervisor to call me.  After an hour, I called back and asked why no one has called me yet and I needed the name of a supervisor/manager so I could call him.  They said they'd call me back.  After another half hour a manager (John, I think) called me and said I'd have my HHG for Saturday.

  14. Run away, don't trust the company.

I hired this company to move me from GA to AZ, I gave them a $1000.00 upfront payment and was to pay the remaining amount upon delivery.  About two weeks after they picked up my items I called to check on the status of the delivery.  John came on the phone and told me that the truck caught on fire in LA and nothing is left.  Of course he said all the right things,,,so sorry, we will make you whole, we are working to get anything that can be delivered to you blah blah blah.  I get the fire report and it shows that the fire happened three days before I called them and I guess they didn't feel it important to call me.  Then begins all the promises that a truck is in route and will get my few remaining items by weeks end..a month goes by and nothing.  Finially after I tell them I am going to the site they tell me someone is there and loading up my items.  Don't really believe them at this point and I fly out to the site.  Although someone has gone through the truck many of my items were left, much of it would have been fine but because they had sat on the truck for 6 plus weeks were now covered in mold.  Boxes that had my name on them left, furniture that could have been repaired left. Purses that had jewerly in them still on the truck but the jewerly gone..While at the site I get a call from the brother of the owner telling me he will only deliver my items if I agree to pay the remaining balance!  I lost it, how dare you want payment for delivering only 10% of my items and who knows what conditions it will be in.  John agreed and said they will deliver what they have - no charge.  Today I get an email that they will refund $700.00 of my $1000.00 payment but only if I sign a release that I won't sue them.  Never thought about suing them but now I've changed my mind.  Not enough space to tell you how foul this business is.  Stay away!!

  15. Do Not Use This Company.

If I could give this company no stars I would. it all started the day of the move. They were supposed to arrive between 8-10. They called that morning saying they would be there between 10-12. Sam, the salesman, assured me the day before they would be there by 8. He knew that I had to drive 7 hours that day and could not drive at night. They finally showed at 12:30. However, the truck did not arrive until 4:45 pm.
Then there was the packing. ONe of the worst packing jobs I have ever seen. My stuff was just thrown in boxes, none of the boxes were marked. So I sit here one week later still trying to figure out where my pots and pans are, wondering if they even got packed.
Then there was the broken contract. I was quoted $3200 for the move. They told me I had "extra items" and that it was going to be $1900 more when they arrived. They would not unload the truck until I paid this amount. I talked with John on the phone who screamed and yelled at me and was extremely rude and unprofessional. He agreed to knock of $1000, but I still had to pay another $954.
They packed all my hanging clothes in small boxes. I was told they would use wardrobe boxes, but instead they stuffed my good work clothes, still on the hanger, into small square boxes.
Finally, there was the theft. That's right THEFT! They stole family jewlery right out of my drawer. All drawers were left in tact except where I kept my (mostly) costume jewlery along with a couple of more expensive items - family jewlery. When I finally found the jewlery box it was empty. They stole an engagement ring, wedding band, blue sapphire with diamond ring, a class ring, and a ruby necklace I inherited from my mother.
Do yourself a favor, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!! They do not return phone calls and refuse to take responsibiilty for missing/damaged items.
