1. Do not use this company

   ZERO STARS. Worst move ever. They low-balled the estimate then jacked it up $1000 the day of the pick up. The pick up guys were careful but took from 9:30am to 5pm to load - I’ve done the same move with the same items and it’s never taken more than a couple hours. They repeatedly told me they expected they could deliver in about 7 days but took 23. They called to tell me they would deliver Sat between 3-8 pm then called me at 7:30pm to postpone until Monday. They were 2.5 hours away and they knew when they weren’t en route they weren’t going to make the Saturday window but let me sit around waiting all afternoon and evening anyway. When they finally showed, they started unloading boxes all disorganized by hand dropping from truck to pavement with no ramp or hand trucks. The boxes were all smashed and torn and dirty. I’m guessing a lot of the damage took place when they unloaded and reloaded at their warehouse in PA. Whoever works in the warehouse appears to deliberately destroy stuff because when the guys picked up, all boxes were stacked by size and type so as to be easily moved by hand truck. When they arrived, they were in total disarray- stacked them every which way without care. They assembled a daybed incorrectly even after I told them how it’s supposed to go. They broke the lock on my sliding door somehow. I’m starting to unpack and of course lots of broken items despite being packed in bubble wrap, padding and newspaper. No packing could withstand whatever the heck they did to these boxes. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’ve been through several long distance moves in the past 6 years because of work. I’m livid. I may update this review again as I’m not even sure all my boxes are here. Already know they lost one item - my own dolly/ hand truck disappeared in their warehouse apparently.Do not use this company!!!

2. This is a bait and switch, they are criminals.

   This is the worst moving experience I have ever had, they absolutely low ball you on price and collect a deposit, then days before the move they call for a final inventory and the price gets jacked way up. The problem is, they wait to call until your deposit can no longer be refunded. So you either lose your large deposit or agree to a higher rate. By the way, the final rate is far more expensive than a standard moving Co., this is not a discount moving Co.
   
   At the time of the final inventory, my quote had tripled. I explained that i did not want to pay that much and that i would get rid of a bunch of stuff in order to get down to my original quote amount. They convinced me to overestimate and to use a bigger truck even if i would be getting rid of things, this way we were sure that the truck sent out would fit everything. They told me that I would only be charged for the space that i used and that i would be refunded for any unused space.
   
   THAT WAS A LIE!
   
   Now that they have my money, I am being told i will not be given a full refund and I am paying for the size of the truck that was sent, not just the space i used. They now refuse to speak with me or respond to emails.
   
   These people are criminals, they should not be allowed to run a business. They are a classic bait and switch and i promise you, they are not worth your time or your money.
   
   Oh and not to mention, they picked up my stuff on 12/10/20, it is now 1/5/21 and i still do not have my belongings. They tell you it will only take a few days but that too is a lie.

3. You get what you pay for!

   When I had to move back in March, life was hectic. Moving is already pretty tough, let alone when there's a pandemic going on. I reached out to several companies, but I was particularly happy with CCMG's customer service line. Even though it's been a while since I moved, I remember the lady on the phone was particularly kind and understanding. The movers arrived on time, were nice, and got things picked up and moved quickly. While I didn't have them store my stuff, I would've trusted them with all of my belongings. Everything arrived unscathed. I've had some issues with other companies in the past, where my stuff got damaged while moving, or ended up "getting lost". The whole experience was honestly really positive.
   
   While it was more expensive than other companies (I paid around $2700 for the whole thing), I'm so glad I spent the extra money.

4. DO NOT USE

   DO NOT USE CROSS COUNTRY MOVING GROUP or STOP AND MOVE. I received a quote from Glenn Fitzgerald with an assurance that it was not a low quote with an upcharge later. He sent an email calling out that his quote was accurate to my list and they don't upcharge. Lie. The company they sub'd to is called Stop and Move. They called me the day before pickup and said that it would be double the price. Cross Country Move has my list of items and nothing had changed. The moving company was rude and said that they just wouldn't show. Of course, they know you are in a bind with no other movers who are able to respond that quickly. They picked up my items and never gave a delivery date. I finally called (after 3 weeks) and they said that they'd be there the next day. AND, they wanted more money to deliver. So, essentially, they were hold my possessions hostage. I paid them to get my property. Most of my possessions were damaged. Some were so well packed that they would have had to intentionally damaged to cause the shattered glass that existed. I had to call over and over to no avail for an insurance claim. I finally reached Stop and Move and they forwarded me to another rep who never called back. Insurance claim results is unlikely as no one will respond.

5. Worst. Move. Ever.

   I got a quote from cross country moving group for a move from Oregon to Connecticut this company picked up my stuff october 29th and delivered dec 18th, thats 49 days. They quoted me 21 business days . There were some items missing and some damage. Emails to the company have gone unanswered. Dont know what else to say besides I will never use this moving company again or any other moving company for that matter as it would simply be faster and cheaper to pile all my furniture in the driveway, burn it and buy all new stuff after.

6. Solid move

   Cross Country Moving was referred to me by a friend that uses them frequently and I can see why. My experience was practically painless, the service representatives I talked to were very polite and helpful, and the move itself quick. They showed up on time and moved all my items with speed and care. Really glad I tried them out for my move and will more than likely be using them again in any future moves.

7. Moving Experience

   The best moving experience by far. They were very calm and enjoyable to work with as a moving company. Their quote was on the lower end which was amazing and of great value especially considering they were quick and safe with all my packages. They were very kind in planning and scheduling my move and were prompt and ready to work the day of the move. I think this will be my preferred moving method in case I ever would need to work once again but I don't see a reason why anyone would need to use a different company aside from Cross Country Moving Group.

8. Terrible!

   All moving USA and Cross Country. Do not use these companies! They are terrible! From the start I was quoted $2500 and it jumped to over $6000. The driver was not clear with me and had asked when I wanted my belongings delivered and not when was the available date to start moving. They picked up my stuff on 11/29 and I still have not delivered. I called all moving USA today and they texted me that they will not know anything until Thursday. The customer service has been terrible between them and the movers from cross country. When I called cross country over a week ago the lady on the phone was so rude. I have guests coming in this weekend for the holidays and I don’t have any furniture for them to sit or sleep on. I highly do not recommend these companies.

9. Moving experience

   Scammers of the century, they will make sure to underquote you to get your deposit and then you have to deal with the actual moving company. They know exactly what they doing. I served over 20 years in the Army and these people repaid me by screwing me and my move. If you decide to go with them, make sure the contract says exactly what you want.

10. Amazing and easy move!

    This company really made my perspective of moving companies change, before I didn't really see a use in them and vouched to transport all of my belongings and goods by myself. But after recently moving to a new state it made me realize how much the help was really needed! The process was simple and smooth, they were very careful with my things and made sure to attend to any questions I posed! Overall a very professional company!

11. Exceptional Help

    Using this company for our move was such a relief and relieved so much stress. They were punctual and respectful upon arrival, making sure to take great care of our furniture. They treated my stuff as if it were their own. Overall the process was quick and easy to get the move set up and it was executed flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is in a jam or just simply needs help moving.

12. Good value!!!

    This company did a great job for me, taking a lot of stress out of the moving process. They show up on time, and treat your belongings with respect. They are a true one stop solution for moving needs. The fees are very reasonable and transparent as well. Definitely would recommend! 5/5

13. Company is a scam

    Dont use this company and dont believe a word they say on the phone. be sure to read contract. In addition, they showed up at my house with not enough room to pick up my furniture. Told me they would get another driver then backed out of my contract .

14. Moved Home

    I found myself in a tough spot having to move back home from college. I didn't have anyone to help anywhere near me. With one phone call, and a long day my move was completed and I couldn't have been happier. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be and the experience was way nicer than ever imagined. My property wasn't anything expensive, and they're really wasn't a large quantity of it compared to most households. Yet, they acted as if it was special to them and understood how to value my possessions. When I spend my hard-earned money I'm always hoping to get this level of service. I'm very relieved and thankful.

15. Fast, Professional, Knowledgeable

    Having to relocate for work was already nerve-racking enough but working with Cross Country Moving Group quickly squashed my nerves. The clear pricing and knowledgeable staff really elevate Cross Country Moving Group above any other moving service. I had to move both my office and apartment to a new city and I learned in the past that when it comes to relocating, the moving service you choose is everything. With Cross Country, moving is everything! I had my own guidelines of which Cross Country’s staff were very accommodating. I required certain items to be overly secured to ensure safe travels to which the movers quickly and easily obliged. My being extra difficult (due to past moving nightmares), was greeted with patience and understanding from the staff. My office and apartment belongings arrived timely and safely without any hiccups! I was able to get back to work ahead of schedule which gave me the peace of mind I very much needed. When moving anything, Cross Country Moving Group is your one-stop-shop. I have recommended them to a few people, all of which had great experiences. These guys are the relief you need in a moving service.
