1. Hard work.

   Finally found the house of our dreams and all we needed was the mover to make it a reality. We had a few good recommendations from friends and colleagues but were not really wowed by talking to them. So we started to read. And read. And read then finally found Gateway Moving and Storage. Not only did we find a moving company that’s been around for many years of doing reputable business but a company that cares about its potential clients and offers climate controlled storage which is also what we needed. The walked with us over the phone room at a time as we told them what we were taking. They gave us suggestions and tips on how to save even more money. We had phone numbers for the head of every department and didn’t worry at any point. So we just got our delivery and couldn’t be happier thank you everybody for your help and hard work.

2. Trusted.

   Gateway Moving and Storage supplied us with the storage we needed plus the customer service we deserved. They never questioned us on our descion making process and gave us time to look into them as well as the other companies that called us. We got the best price from them but that was not t the only reason we selected them. We read they were trying trusttworthy and had the credentials and reviews to prove it. The one thing we learned was you cannot believe everything that comes out of a sakes persons mouth. Go figure right. The list we comprised was identical to the final list on the move date which meant no extra charges. It was an all inclusive price which is what we wanted. We wanted our furniture to show up the same exact way it left and our house not to be left in shambles. Hats off to everyone who works there to make this move a success. Establishes honest and caring company. They have a formula they follow that really works. Happy to call them again for a future move.

3. Saved us work.

   We had it all planned out. We even had the truck rented from U-Haul to do the move ourselves. Something happens in the weeks leading up to the move that we completely changed our minds. We started getting calls from companies and one of those companies was Gatewat moving and storage. They had a plan Specifically laid out that would save us money. They would handle all the moving of the furniture and even Pack the boxes for us. It was a complete full service to move that was worth every penny. At our age I don’t think we were even capable of doing this move ourselves. The difference between them doing the moving us doing it was a small amount of money that I swear was worth every penny thank you everybody for all your hard work.

4. Awesome Job.

   Thank you so much to Gateway moving and storage for doing such a good job with my families move. I’ve never moved the moving company before and I was very stressed about picking a company online. The first thing when looking for companies I read was to watch out watch out BOA or be aware that a lot of companies weren’t honest and who they say they work. So I had taken a friends advice and picked up a company myself by the reputation of this website as well as another moving referral website. They gave me a quote that seemed fair and wasn’t too low thank God I went with this company cause after reading all the companies reviews it seems like in this industry a lot of guys are just brokers are beat and switch customers. I really am thankful that Gateway moving and storage did such a good job for my move and my family we really appreciate you guys at Gateway thank you.

5. Scammed us.

   I was quoted $1600.00 to move a 1 bedroom apt from FL to NC. A co worker also joined in a co - truck experience for a discount. She also has a 2 bedroom apt. Gateway quoted us $2900.00 with 35% reservation fee. Which we paid. They promised to do a flat rate as we were 2 people moving from same place to same place. (work transfer) Once they got to my apt. They started to count each item and told me we were only estimated on so many items. Which is not what TONY had quoted. Once they got to my co-workers they counted her items and said we were way over quote and increased our bill to $4200.00. NO LIE. We were told we owed 50% at this time to pay and was initially told we paid at delivery. We paid fee and was told our delivery was due the following Monday. Instead the Movers took our stuff to a shortage unit and let it sit for over 1 week while they dogged our calls. Hung up on us. Were extremely rude to us. Sunday we had to threaten them with a lawsuit and was told our stuff was in route once again.. We were told that payment was due in CASH or Money order only from USPS. Not a bank issued money order. We refused to pay them cash or money order and JOHN the rude dispatcher said well then your stuff will go back in storage and we will bill you another delivery fee and storage fee. We had to hustle to the bank and then to the USPS just to get money order. Once the movers got there. They were told to not unload anything until we paid them an addl $140.00 for having 2 separate homes to deliver too. Which again was discussed at the beginning of the setup on the contract and was told being on the 2nd floor had addl charges. Again they knew this when they estimated it. One of the movers quit once they got to NC. They hired a random person who showed up to help move and refused to set up anything or put it in the right bedrooms. Complete scam and steals money and refuses to honor agreements. I highly do not recommend them. They also subcontract other moving companies who are caught in the middle of a bad business transaction.

6. Thanks.

   I was very nervous about using a ling distance mover.. I really have to say that these guys really helped so much,, Gateway Moving and Storage was such a help moving my daughter down to school.. This was the first time we ever had to use a company for moving across the country.. also with us not being there on delivery we wanted to make sure she was in good hands and that also the gentlemen where very nice.. I had chose for the Gateway Moving and storage to come out and do all of the packing they pretty much threw all of the crating for fragile items in for free. This was honestly cheaper then if we had to go out and buy all of the packing materials our selfless,,,, thanks so much Gateway for getting our daughter safe out to school in a timely fashion..

7. BEWARE of for these movers!

   The worst nightmare with this moving company. Not only did they jack up the original estimate after loading the truck in February 2019, Till date they haven't delivered my stuff.
   They sub-contracted it to another trucking company called Solomon & sons and the Con driver for this company showed up with an 18 wheeler and refused to unload my stuff and fled with my stuff.

8. Affordable and great.

   We have never moved before. We did a lot of research and a lot of reading before submitting our information online. We learned about the various types of moving companies out there, who to hire and especially who not to hire. We did not want to hire a moving broker only the actual mover. We reached out to Gateway Moving and Storage specifically. We liked everything we saw not to mention they were the cheapest of all the quotes we got. They did not charge us for things other companies dead. We were able to get our dates for pick up and more importantly delivery. They always had somebody ready to help us with any question we had and we even move their dates once or twice. They are a moving company that’s all about the client and we really like that about them. Didn’t want to company that moves thousands of people and get lost in the mix we want to be treated individually they are just that.

9. Early and Saved.

   We reserved our move one month in advance. We decided to use Gateway Moving and Storage and worked hand and hand with them from start to finish. We were worried because we literally know nothing about moving from state to state but they were very helpful in educating us and telling us what terms and phrases meant and the ways we should be protecting ourself. We took insurance out on the load because you just never know what can happen on these trips and the standard insurance included would not come anywhere close to what our stuff is really worth. Gateway was up front and patient and happy to say we are very pleased with the service. It was a breath of fresh air to see the moving truck coming down the clock with our things. They took apart and set up great and wanted to tell the next person just how great they are. Thank you everyone involved.

10. Great price/storage.

    The first question we had for every move your was do you have a storage facility. Off the bat I would say 70% of them did not. We needed a climate controlled storage facility that we can keep our goods at for an unknown amount of time. Gateway moving and storage was what we were looking for. They were able to pick up our furniture climate control storage and once we were ready for delivery we would let them know and they would send out the grades right away. We got a great price on the move, a couple three months of free storage and great customer service. The movers that actually showed up to the house all were company clothes gloves and treated their items as if they were their own. They did not rush they took their time moving everything which made us feel very good. Our stuff only left the truck to go to the storage and then re-loaded to come back to our house. All of her items arrived in the same condition that they laughed and we never paid a penny more. Thank you gateway moving and storage you have no idea what this meant to us.

11. Big Move.

    This was a rather big relocation. It was an estate that was to emptied and shipped across country. We used Gateway Moving and Storage for thier trucks. We paid a flat fee to have exclusive use of the truck. We did not want any others to split the uhaul. It took the movers 2 days to prep. They came and wrapped and boxed up a majority of the house as we did the rest. There was something we decided it was the best time to get a move like this done. Especially with the summer approaching we didn’t want to pay more then we had to and we had endless amounts of furniture. The move went great the drive was straight through with nonother stops and as far as moving and organization the company is very well run. We felt safe and it was pleasant to work with them.

12. I know it’s hard finding a company! These guys are great!!

    First I want to say that was very stressful picking up moving company I want the contract and gateway moving and storage after finding out that a lot of companies in the industry we’re giving the lowball quotes. At first the clothes seem to be very expensive but it kind of made sense after reading other countries reviews and not knowing why they’re reporting so well. I did not want to fall in the trap of getting a little closer and then at the end of the move there be a totally different story. The movers were very professional on the day of the move and Anthony was great. I really want to extend My thanks to the company for doing such a great job. Everything went really smooth and I’m actually happy with the price I received because it stays the same thanks a lot Gateway moving and storage.

13. The easiest move.

    This move was by far the easiest that I have ever experienced in my entire life. My Dad was in the Army and I have move numerous times with my job. Gateway handled my move and made sure everything went smooth and there were no complications. Nothing was missing or broken. I am thrilled and I highly recommend using them.

14. Great Referral.

    Had a client of mine use an interstate moving company in the past so she passed the name along to me and said Gateway Moving and Storage was the real mover and won’t charge you more money then they quote you. This move came up quick so I wanted to be out within 10 days which was not a problem at all scheduling it. They came and packed everything, labeled it and numbered it extremely detail oriented. The list we made on the phone checked matched perfect. They are what thier reputation says they are. Very affordable and flexible. Easy to work with and honest.

    Gateway moving and storage really did a good job with my resume off. Thank you so much for helping me and my family relocate my mother down to Florida she’s been in the same home for the last 45 years.. She is very old and grumpy and I was scared to pick a company for her it’s very hard to please this woman the customer service was exceptional, and Very professional.. I had them pack up all of Her stuff.. Also bubble wrap all of her fragile items I mean this lady really collect everything she hasn’t thrown anything away in 45 years so I knew there was going to be a lot of boxes do you think they over quoted me which I was happy about so this way the price will go down if anything. The movers were very professional and polite and she was actually happy surprisingly. Thanks a lot gateway moving and storage.
