1. Just easy.

   They sure did make moving look very easy and I mean just easy. They came to my house packed up all of my belongings made sure my wife was happy and loaded the truck and headed out to our destination. There was not a single item damaged that destination nothing was missing in the price was exactly what I was quoted by James over the phone. I will always recommend you all to anyone that I know that is moving cross-country. Thank you to everyone.

2. So great.

   This is was the first time I ever used a long distance moving company. I was sitting up to move to move my mother down south from New Jersey. About a month before the move I had signed up on a few websites to receive some quotes, boy did I receive a ton of calls and as typical people calling you all of them being sales people. Only two companies sounded genuine and weren’t forcing me and my mother into giving them money the first company was going to take too long to deliver . So we wind up going with Gateway moving and storage for the simple fact they were the only other company that really asked a lot about the move they asked several questions about each item they asked for dimensions of each piece of furniture and even build in some extra room in the quote to make sure we had a worst case scenario price. Especially not being there when they packed up for my mother and her old age I wanted to make sure that I was going with a reliable honest company. She has a lot of fragile items and like a typical old person a lot of knickknacks that she really Cherishes. She’s too old to pack the boxes so we had them pack them for her and they actually gave her an a senior discount and threw in a bunch of packing service free I recommend if you’re moving estimate about the packing service and honestly only came out to a little bit more that if we purchased all the crates and packing materials for her curio cabinets and glass knickknacks. It seems like all the other companies were just more less worried about taking a deposit basically sounding like they were desperate for sale. It’s almost like I had asked gateway moving and storage cherishes. She’s too old to pack the boxes so we had them pack him for her and they actually gave her a nice senior discount and through a bunch of packing service free I recommend if you’re moving is still about the packing service and honestly only came out to a little bit more that if we purchased all the crates and packing materials for your curio cabinets and glass knickknacks. It seems like all the other companies were just more or less worried about taking a deposit basically sounding like they were desperate for sale. It’s almost like I had to ask gateway moving and storage. How to reserve and lock in the move. The day of the move I was constantly in contact with my mother because I’m not going to lie I was stressed and I figured she would be too what’s the guys showed up and did all the work for everything seem to be going great and at this point I knew I could trust him they delivered everything within the delivery expectation time that they set and all the items were in good condition. I could express my joy with going with Gateway moving and storage. Thank you guys.

3. Really Easy To Work With.

   This is not my first long-distance moves I had moved twice before with other companies. The first movie I ever did I was ripped off and the other move I had did went kind of smooth. So I was kind of hesitant when looking for a new company I didn’t sign up online this time to receive a bunch of quotes I reached out to moving companies based off of their profile readings. Gayway moving and storage honestly was the most detailed out of all of them at first it kind of seems somewhat a pain with all the questions they were asking until they explained to me that the biggest problem in the moving industry is that companies don’t ask questions they are just quick to close deals. I really appreciate Frank for helping me and explaining to me that to avoid additional charges and cost going over all the glass items and fragile’s that we need to be professionally packed him building that into that into the quote, they stayed in contact until the move and I did have to change my pickup date, which they told me I was allowed to do if I give them a few days notice in advance I gave them two days heads up that I need to push my day back because of packing taking a little bit longer so they even told me that they would pack 10 extra boxes for free and they did I wish I had the boxes they did their materials were really well. The gentlemen were very nice and the foreman was very detailed and they packed the truck as tight as possible it took about nine days for delivery and they originally told me it would take anywhere from 8 to 11 days I was very happy with the turnaround time the fact that they gave me instructions to get some blowup mattresses for my kids if we were going to be staying in a hotel room until delivery was really nice in the past I had other companies telling me that they deliver me in two days and I was waiting up to 30 days for delivery these guys were very considerate and the movers were very polite laying down cardboard on the carpet of the new home so they didn’t track any dirt in the house. Thanks of a gateway moving and storage hopefully I don’t have to move again but if I do you’re going to be my go to company you guys rock.

4. Helped eachother.

   I needed a moving company fast and I needed one that provided storage that’s how I originally found gateway Moving and Storage. I had another company that was scheduled to do the pickup but 3 days before they told me they had a scheduling conflict and refunded my money. That was all good and well but I still needed a mover and needed one fast. Gateway was happy to take on the job. They had another scheduled pick up that day about 150 miles away so they discounted my move a good amount to fill the space. I have my antiques and items that cannot be exposed to the conditions do it was very important the storage climate be regulated. Gateway worked fast and saved me much more money then I planned on spending with the other company. I found them all to be very nice and I know they moved around other moves to accommodate me. They were the ones that fought for the job and in the end that’s why they got it. Forever grateful.

5. Came through in a pinch.

   The gentelman movers at Gateway Moving And Storage helped me so much.. You guys helped me so much so I figured I could atleast give some good feed back.. I had to move out of my house last minute due to a new job..I never used a moving company before, since I mocved to the states this was my first long move.. I called a few differebnt comanpies and started to get scared by what all these sales people where saying that everyone was just out to get my money.. most of them were fast talkers and sounded like sales men not movers.. I found gateway moving and storage online and reached out to them, Nick sounded very genuine and started asking a lot more questions about my belongings then the others did. Their attention to detail is what really made me feel safe with them. So I picked Gateway, lol obiously hence this review. The day of the move when I seen an actual gateway truck pull up and not a contractor I was at ease.. the movers where very nice.. they helped pack up all of my fragile items as well for a really good deal as well.. they delivered my items with in 9 days which they did tell me would take anywhere from 7-12 days so that quick arival was very nice.. thank you guys so much gateway moving and storage.

6. Company as a whole.

   So I hired them to move from Omaha, NE to Austin TX, the sales people will sweet talk you and almost intimidate you to sign the contract on the phone, be careful as they will not tell you many things which will come up later, they will promise you to deliver your stuff on the date you want etc. they charged me 10,000 dollars to move 2350 cuft and came there did not pick up half of the stuff, so I had to hire another company to do rest. then they will take 21 business days to get your stuff to you and when called they have no idea or estimation of when they will get the stuff, so if you are planning to take day off at work, it will not work. Then finally when they are here, they charged me to shuttle the stuff as the road said not trucks allowed so charged 1400 dollars extra to get my stuff to me. they will do this as soon as they got your deposit so be careful, I will not recommend this company, as not willing to work with you at all. The sale reps will call you multiple times a day to get your contract and will not tell you half the details but when you call them later you talk to this rude people who have not idea and almost saying F**U, we got you money and stuff so don't care, the company is not BBB accredited, they always ask for cash or money order only. not professional company at all, very dishonest. The company is found by columbian and hires cheap laborer who does not speak english, The owner has no American value at all, just here to make money. I am immigrant too but I believe in honesty and upfront disclosure to the customer. It is best to hire somebody local and move your stuff.
   Be careful.

7. 5 deserved stars.

   I have never experienced anything quite like this. The entire move was just easy and when I say easy it was breathtaking. I can’t explain to you just how amazing and stress free it was the whole move. I will highly suggest and recommend using Gateway to every person I know. They are just phenomenal. Well deserved 5 stars from us.

   This move was just perfwct in all aspects. I can't say that I ha e ever experienced such an amazing team that worked so well together. Thank you so much for all you did guys. You deserve way more than 5 stars.

9. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

   After getting multiple moving quotes, I went with this company because I was told EXPLICITLY that my stuff would be delivered the following weekend (7 days from pickup). He even gave me a window of 3 days it would be delivered. I had lower rated quotes, but this was a big decision making aspect for me.
   
   A few days after pickup I got a call. There was no date listed for my "first available delivery." Apparently they give you a window of 10-14 days STARTING at the "first available delivery date." Whoever told me the exact days it would be delivered APPARENTLY didn't have the authority to do so. So now, not only will I be getting my belongings 2 weeks later than expected, but 3 days were wasted because no one wrote down my "first available delivery" date.
   
   Not only were all these mistakes made by this company, but on top of that- there was absolutely zero sense of customer service. Instead of apologizing for the mistake and doing whatever necessary to get me my belongings, I was told it was MY fault for not asking if the original guy was correct in what he told me. I had no reason to doubt him..
   
   It's now been a week and a half since pick up. Got a call today that it "may" be delivered the end of next week. Making it 2 and a half weeks of sleeping on an air mattress with none of my clothes or belongings.
   
   I will never use this company again. Nor will anyone I know.

   

10. Move from NJ to Jax.

    Worst removal experience ever DO NOT TRUST them once they take your deposit they screw you over. We were quoted$4500 to move from NJ to Jax a small 2 bedroom apt. once the drivers came and load up they put the price up to$9000 and demanded payment there and then. when I spoke to the drivers they said it happens all the time!! Jenny in dispatch was so unhelpful and threatened to have our belongings dumped on the sidewalk.Our scheduled delivery date came and gone we tried ringing and couldn't get an answer from anyone worst customer ever. Tony James bombarded me with calls and emails until he got our business and deposit from us. He reassured us everything was plain sailing and he'd be in touch every step of the way. Needless say once he took our money he was in uncontactable. Our furniture arrived a week late and the final bill was to be paid to the drivers in cash!! $6000 who hands over that sort of money to strangers. They even added on another$600 to hire a penske truck as they said the original truck wouldn't fit in the estate we assured them it would as previous trucks had gone in.. Again they took the matter into there on hands.. whole experience was a joke. Stay well away from gateway moving!!

11. Happy.

    We put an inquiry out online to speak with companies that did interstate moves as well as storage. Some did one but not the other but Gateway did it all. They did a complete full service move. They even sent somebody out to our home to see the furniture free of cost because they had somebody in the area. We appreciate all they’ve done for us. We had a very very bad experience with a major van line in the past and we made it imperative never to go that route again. We wanted a family run company that had some length in business with a climate controlled storage. Soon as we asked for our delivery it went out within days. They unpacked the boxes in the rooms we asked and carefully placed the rest. Nothing got broken or went missing. Very happy with the service from everyone over there. You guys are great.

12. Thanks for coming in a pinch.

    Gateway moving and storage thank you guys for coming in a pinch last second I really appreciate you guys working with me over a months time. I wind up booking with another company at Gateway did warn me about them that they were brokers honestly I was intrigued by the wall quote that I received. For two days the other company played games and said they were going to be picking me up and they never showed up. Last-minute gateway came and they did a great job I kind of was embarrassed to call Gateway moving and storage because they Did warn me about this. They came and loaded everything even created my TVs and they gave me the same quote and service that they promised me over the phone. When they delivered everything six days later they set everything back up for me and they did a great job I really appreciate gateway moving and storage thank you.

13. Best of the best.

    Hands down the best of the best. I was very very impressed with the service that I received during this sometines extremely stressful time of life. I have to admit they made sure we were happy and that we didn't complain at all. Tha k you Gateway for everything.

14. Nothing compares.

    Nothing compares to the relocation we got with gateway moving and storage. After putting in a request to speak to companies to cause came flooding in. We spent the most time with Gateway because they were the first company to call so naturally we gave them the edge. There were the most detailed, had the storage facility we were looking for and we’re willing to make the drop off stops along the way we needed. It was an easy move but they made it simple. They took a lot of stress off of me and my family so we could focus on other things. Watching the movers operate you can tell instantly they are professionals. We have used other movers in the past but never ended being so happy with the relocation as we were using them. We would be happy to refer them they are a stand up and honest tell it like it is company. In this day if scams and fakes they are real and trustworthy. 5 stars.

15. Made a great quote, then inflated the charges and delayed delivery.

    I hired Gateway Moving & Storage to move a one-bedroom apartment 230 miles. They quoted me $3,000 and ultimately charged me $5,782. Without the "discount" they offered upfront, it would have been approximately $7,500.
    
    In addition, Gateway promised me a delivery date between February 4 and February 6, but did not deliver my items until the afternoon of February 7, despite me stressing to them repeatedly that time was of the essence.
    
    When I asked my moving coordinator why Gateway did not meet the cost and timeline it had promised me, she was dismissive and unhelpful.
    
    I took up the issue again through the Better Business Bureau. Gateway was very rude to me, and ended the exchange by claiming that they didn't know what I was complaining about, and that by so saying, they had made a good-faith effort to address the issue.
    
    The head of the loading team had the moving coordinator saved in his phone as "Shady Movers". That guy knew what was up. Use a different carrier for your move.
