Excellent cross-country moving experience.
My job has required me to move a lot. I have moved across the country once before and it's extremely stressful, more so than moving across town or a few states over, which I've also done. There's something disconcerting about watching your personal belongings get loaded onto a truck and hoping you receive it in the same shape you sent it. When I met move coordinator David Hirsh, he was extremely professional and immediately put me at ease. As a single woman, it was very important to feel safe, and not feel like you're being taken advantage of. (Sidenote: I had met with a well-known national moving company the day before, and not only was his estimate ridiculously high, but he felt it appropriate to discuss the inappropriate things he found at another woman's apartment. And believe me, I am no shrinking violet, but I was still stunned by his lack of professionalism. This was not the case with David or the men who moved my belongings!) My estimate was beyond reasonable, especially for a "small" apartment move, which can be problematic for moving companies. David treated my move with the same respect as if I was a home owner with a family of four. On the day of the move, the men showed up on time and treated my belongings well. Everything was wrapped, better than what I would've done. I felt comfortable and at ease as they loaded up the truck. In 9 days (!!), my belongings arrived from Los Angeles to NYC -- this included the Thanksgiving holiday and a snowstorm that blanketed the country. They called me and they delivered my items to my apartment the following day. Again, the men were professional and unloaded everything, despite a three-story walk-up, with care. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. One thing that David told me early in our discussion stood out for me throughout the entire process. He said, "Sometimes, you can't prevent problems but it's how you deal with it that makes a difference." This is the key to quality customer service. I knew that no matter what happened, I would be able to reach him, discuss it and resolve it. Luckily, there were no problems. If I ever move again, I will be calling David. .

Los Angeles Transfer and Storage was great! David Hirsh listened to my needs and came up with a plan that met my needs for a move date and a delivery date. And then beat the commitments with a flawless move with no mishaps or damage delivered cross country in three days less than the accelerated commitment! I highly recommend them to anyone with a long distance move!
Excellent Moving Company.
My wife and I have moved 9 times over the years, always using professional moving companies. We've always used the most common national moving companies and had good but typical experiences. Everything about our experience from the estimate with David to the pickup and drop off with Juan and his crew was far better than any previous moving experience.
It started with David giving us a fair and reasonable estimate, not a low ball number to win the bid. His number was not the lowest or the highest, but was the most accurate. We've got plenty of moving experience so we think we know when an esimate for the amount of work / goods is reasonably accurate. David nailed it. That meant not only a fair price but the planned for the right number of guys to handle the work.
The day of the pick up not only was Juan and the crew on time, but a couple of his guys were actually early and waited. Clearly they were ready to go. They were experienced, knew what to do, were prepared, had more than adequate material, and had plenty of experience as working as a team. They finished in less time than expected.
LA Transfer worked with us on the delivery date since our move was consuming one entire truck. We needed time between pick up and delivery and they readily sorted that out with us.
Communication from David and Juan during the trransfer process was helpful to know all was proceeding as planned. Delivery was spot on time. The delivery to our new 6th floor apartment was a challenge for the guys but again they were prepared for the long hauls and the volume of work. There was some initial challenge from our new building which meant the crew would have to haul 4 times further to get to elevators but Juan took it in stride. Thankfully we were able to avoid this and correct the situation but I was impressed that Juan and the guys were ready regardless. I've had movers in the past, big names, whine about moving a mattress up stairs so it was refreshing to have these guys - clearly very professional.
I can't say enough about Juan and crew. These guys worked hard and nonstop. Next move - LA Transfer again. It's a no brainer. Trust and professionalism are what its all about. Cheers guys, and thank you.

I HATE moving and have always been leary of hiring someone else to care for my belongings. I hold all my things as priceless and never trusted anyone to treat them as I would. When I first spoke with the relocation specialist on the phone I felt a since of care and professionalism I had never heard from a sales rep from any other moving and storage company. They gained my trust and did NOT let me down! My stuff was well taken care of and although I had found lower rates else where I knew this was the compnay for me I was not going to take a chance with these one minute companies and have my belongings damaged and or stolen. I have friends who had recently moved and chose a lower priced company and in the end regreted wishing they would have paid a little extra and gone with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage, their things were damaged and got to them weeks after the date promised. Being able to see first hand the difference in service I was more then pleased with my selection. It really comes down to how much you really value your belongings. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish and I will never move any other way. Talk about a stress free move!! Thank you all for your services!!

I always thought moving could be very difficult. I found out from my company that they needed to relocate me. I spoke with a few neighbors of mine and they had mentioned Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. I gave them a call and scheduled a free estimate. They came out and customized my entire moved. I just received my stuff in Georgia and very glad I chose this company. Everything happened just the way I accepted it to. Would be happy to recommend this company to friends.
Nice guys.
Really nice guys who book everything for you. Great customer service. The guys got everything packed up and loaded really quick. When there was a problem they helped get it solved and were quite nice about it. The guys who delivered the items weren't as nice and refused to do their job. I contacted the office and they had me file my claims. It took a while but they finally took care of things and paid for the mistakes. The sales guy and the guys who deal with the claims were very nice and understanding. Just make sure to have them pack it all so they are responsible for the issues and not you. Too bad the drivers aren't as nice a the sales reps and customer service guys.
From professional movers to friends.
First, David Hirsh (the manager in Sun Valley) was phenomenal! He bent over backwards to help my wife and me. He worked hard to get us an EXCELLENT price on the move, then even assisted us with packing supplies and other things we would have had to spend extra on. He was kind and personable. In fact, after this experience my wife and I feel we can call David a friend.
Second, our belongings were handled with care and delivered on time. Everything was also unloaded with care and placed in our house wherever my wife or I asked them to be placed.
We HIGHLY recommend Los Angeles Transfer and Storage for storing or moving ANYTHING you need taken care of in a professional manner!

EXCELENT, WOULD USE THEM AGAIN (In fact I am for my boss) Recenly I accepted a position in the New York area so I needed to move from LA to NY. I put everything in storage and headed east to deal with the move later. Later I contacted Allied Van Lines at Beverly Hills Storage, sent a deposit and chose a date for the move. Then I flew back to Ca two days early for the pick up. Once I finally reached a person at this Beverly Hills Storage, no one knew what was happening. I fired them and was stuck as by now I had one day until I had to return to work. Late that afternoon I went on line and found LOS ANGELES TRANSFER, called and spoke with Mary who set up an apointment for me at noon the next day. At that time I met with David Hirsch who areeded to pack and wrap up all the items necessary the very next day and clean out my storage facillaty (which saved me another months rent) He then was to transfer it all to his warehouse and hold it until a truck was comming East. All of this for a very REASONABLE PRICE. I gave him the required deposit, the keys to the storeroom and left everything in his hands. The next day I received a photo via Text of the storage facility's temination papers. The delivery in New York went as promissed and as easily as the pick up in California. I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFULL TO LOS ANGELES TRANSFER FOR TURNING A BAD SITUATION INTO A POSITIVE - STRESS FREE EXPERIENCE .
Best moving crew around!
In the past few years, I have moved 3 times and I used this company all 3 times. I have moved with other companies in the past, but in all honesty, this company's reliability, professionalism, and quality service is unmatched. All 3 times, everything was done hurredly in the last minute, and they were so helpful in giving me the dates I had requested. There were no "surprise fees" or damaged objects whatsoever. Very polite, understanding, and helpful from the first phonecall to the last box. The team was very professional and operated quickly yet carefully. Carrying heavy things through tight spaces and up/down stairs, they made sure everything was packaged properly and ready for transfer. The supervisor was very helpful, and made sure everything was sent to the right room in the new location. I was personally behind schedule, but with many thanks to these guys I was right on schedule by the end of the move. This is the most definately the best moving crew there is. See for yourself! .

I've had terrible past experiences with moving companies (things damaged, broken,etc.) huge mess so I was worried about my move again. Communication was on point as they were on time and available to help me. Not only was everything handled in a respectful and professional manner but the price was in my budget. I called many moving companies and shopped around. I usually don't write reviews but I guess after having terrible experience and then doing business with Los Angeles transfer and storage .. I would highly recommend it to anyone that's planning to move. Will use in the future!
Absolutely a great experience.
I was very hesitant when the movers arrived because I heard a lot of horror stories from friends about the moving experience with other companies. Although I felt a little confident because it was a referral from a friend, in the back of mind I was still worried. They came in the morning exactly on time. I spoke with them and expressed what I wanted moved and how and they were very responsive. As they started loading I went to the room to box some personal things. When I want back to the living room the couches, coffee tables, side table, entertainment center and TV were already professionally packaged and ready to load. I was amazed how quickly and professional they were. Moreover, they took apart my bed which was very complicated with lots of screws and bolts. They worked very fast loading a huge truck full of boxes. When we arrived at the destination they loaded everything quickly listening to where I wanted everything placed. They also successfully assembled my complicated bed. I was so pleased I can't explain If you are moving I highly recommend them. Do yourself a favor during the stressful time and onuh get the to do your moving. .

David at LA Transfer and Storage was great. I had planned to go with another company but he was so honest and helpfull than I changed to his truck. The packing and loading took over two and half hours. We packed 65 boxes ahead of time. David and his crew packed the HDTV, Stove, Refrig., tables, chairs, lamps, mirrors, dressers sideboard and the rest of the furniture. At the delivery in Alabama the truck arrived at about 6:30pm. It was close to midnight before all the items were unloaded. Everything was in great shape. We are very happy that we went with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage. There were no hidden charges. We paid the amount that was quoted to us in LA. These guys are for real!!

I was very satisfied with this mover. They were friendly, respectful and worked efficiently. They worked quickly and quietly, which was very important as I moved in on a weekend. I'm really happy I chose this company. I felt I got a good value. I am thankful that I went with these guys and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Los Angeles Transfer & Storage moved me from California to South Carolina. I was very leary about hiring a moving company and handing all of my belongings over to them for the move. Upon reading other reviews, I decided to call them. The professionalism I was met with was beyond expectation. The rep walked me through the entire process, answered every question that I had, and essentially put me at ease allowing me to have complete peace of mind with the move. On moving day the driver showed up on time, was very courteous and polite. He carefully took the time handling all of my belongings as if he were moving his own belongings. With moving across country I expected for there to be a few items broken along the way. However; when everything arrived in South Carolina not a single thing was broken or scratched. I could not have asked for a better, smoother, more professional move than the one I received. Thank you for making the whole process literally stress free for me.
