1. Initial Quotes Are Not Even Close to the Actual Ptice.

   Absolutely DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS!! In the beginning they will seem friendly and helpful but it is all fraudulent. I spoke with a guy named Jeff. He was extremely nice, he answered the phone promptly at anytime of the day. He quoted us $2500 to move from Washington to Texas. Once they picked up our stuff and took that initial payment, that price went out the window along with communication. I received a phone call from a lady named Rachel asking for a mid payment of $5,000. We had already given them $1000. She said that our move would be $11000 now. I explained to her that the price was far more than what I was quoted and I would call Jeff before paying her. Jeff did not return my phone call for 3 days. And when he did, he was no longer pleasant. He acted as if he was doing me a favor by reducing the price to $7,000 now and claimed that the price changed after they weighed the truck. I was and still am highly upset but they already have our stuff.
   
   They picked our furniture up on DECEMBER 18, 2019. Please see the date of this review. January 23, 2020 and we still do not have our things. We have been calling every number that has contacted us since this process started and we can not get in touch with anyone. I've left Jeff several messages and he has not responded still. At this point, I'm not even sure if we're actually going to get our things. Smh.

2. They pay for good reviews. Beware.

   Like many others, I don't know where to begin. Short story SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR STUFF AND YOUR MONEY AND DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I promise you, this is some of the best advice you will ever receive.
   
   Summary of why not:
   
   1. The quote they give you on the phone to lure you in and the price you get after they load your stuff is way different. Mine was almost four times as much as they said on the phone it would be, with no choice but to sign and agree as all my stuff was on their truck. They now had me hostage, by having everything I owned and they know it.
   
   2. They arrived at my house 4 hours late, and were loading till almost midnight. Yelling, banging, laughing etc in the street on a work/school night.
   
   3. When they did finally arrive, they had none of the promised protective padding or anything. They promised me when they got to the warehouse they would wrap my stuff. They didn't. There is virtually not one piece of furniture that I have which is not gouged, scratched, and otherwise nearly ruined visually. My leather couch has holes in it. Two TVs are broken. Printer is broken.
   
   4. Boxes arrived mostly crushed. Not one was shaped like a box anymore or didn't have holes in them. Not to mention, they lost several boxes. I generally give my used moving boxes away for free so they get reused but only like maybe three out of around 150-200 boxes could be salvaged.
   
   5. The communication was poor about when my stuff would arrive. It was about 2+ weeks to get my stuff a 6 hour drive from CO to SD. This was after promising 3-10 days I think and telling me its usually about 5.
   
   6. With all my damaged and missing stuff, they offered me like $80. Hahaha! After some talking, the lady negotiated about $300 for me which took another month and a half to arrive.
   
   These good reviews, I honestly think that of course, some got lucky and they had a good experience, but be aware they also offered me Visa gift cards to leave a good review.
   
   I forgot to mention in my original review that LA Transfer & Storage basically is a middle man. They hire other local movers to pick up and potentially deliver your stuff. That leads to fun blame games at the end where they blame this company and that company blames the other company and so on. Basically, you're not even hiring LA Transfer & Storage, you're being saddled with whatever company they have worked out some rock bottom price with to move your stuff for them.

   

3. Worst move ever.

   This was the worst move ever. They sent packers one with ankle monitor for a gun charge who asked if I would get him a pistol the other who could not write on the boxes. I provided a detail list of items from united moving was quoted 9900 for 2100 cu feet and when they had the truck half loaded said it was 2500 cu feet and 1500 dollars more. now we are over 11500 dollars I felt highjacked and bullied but paid s I had to be out of my house the next day. Fast forward stuff arrives late thrown in truck like a 5 year old packed stuff damaged I have pictures and guess what it was only 1800 cu feet. The driver says cash before I can even see but I have pictures. Never use this company they are not honest and my stuff is missing and scratched and smashed.

   

4. Best movers in LA.

   I’m very satisfied with the service provided. This company did my move with agility and professionalism. They show on time, packed all my things very carefully. they did not make a mess in my building and did not leave dirt things. the guys were very nice. they dismounted and set up the all furniture in my new place. I had bad experience before with other company that broke some stuffs and bother my neighbor. I really recommend this company !!

   

5. Great Customer Service.

   I had received a job offer in Maui and had to plan a move in a very short time span from Los Angeles. Not only was it a short time span it was during the Christmas and New Years holiday season.
   
   David was very professional and came to view my apartment and furniture on Christmas Eve. It was absolutely amazing and 6 days later him and his team arrived on New Years Eve to pick up everything. They wrapped everything and made moving look easy. I highly recommend them as David has been nothing short of amazing.

6. Great service - very trustworthy.

   Going on third move with David and his team. Very happy with the service. Arrived on time for pick-ups and amount charge was exactly as quoted. David is very trustworthy.

   Good service, nice and clean pick up and delivery
   went out of their way to secure every single piece of furniture.

8. Great value.

   Overall, the value is pretty hard to beat. I did a move from LA to Seattle. David came right away to inspect and give me a quote. He provided all the boxes and packing supplies. He was very quick in his responses.
   
   The LA movers were great. They came in, wrapped all my paintings and everything else very professionally. Quick and efficient.
   
   I stored my stuff for about 6 weeks until I found my apartment. I was quoted 4-8 days for my stuff to arrive and unfortunately it was closer to 3 weeks, so I had to sleep on an air mattress for several weeks.
   
   My stuff came and there was some initial disagreement about the final price. Because I was on the 2nd story and more than 75 feet away from the curb, they were charging me $150 more. To be fair, it was written in the contract. Would have been nice if David or someone else explicitly called this out in the initial quote, because it caught me unexpectedly. David ended up reducing this to $75.
   
   All my stuff arrived in good shape except my dresser had a little damage. But David was able to quickly reimburse me for that and followed through until the end.
   
   So overall, some hiccups, but again, the value is unbeatable. Their price was much lower than other movers and I really appreciated working with David.

9. Great value for your money.

   Great value for your money. I had recently engaged LA transfer and storage for moving my household stuff from LA to Dallas. They were the most economical option compared to all the other movers I researched about. The service was good and customer friendly.

10. Moving from CA to TX.

    I have moved across the country, and across California about 4 times in the past few years. Moving has always has been stressful, until my most recent move with “Los Angeles Transfer & Storage”. From the start, they continually exceeded every expectation I had. I want to recognize our point of contact, David Hirsch. I strongly recommend getting in contact with him about your move. Here are a few things that stood out to me.
    
    Excellent and timely communication.
    Professionally & carefully handled our property.
    Gave me an incredible deal on both the move and storage.
    David showed up on site to help the movers, and made sure everything went well.
    David was very friendly and made me feel comfortable with storing my belongings in their storage.
    They had incredible respect for me, my wallet, and my property.
    David was in constant contact with me about our stored property, making sure we had our storage payment set up properly, and our delivery information settled.
    
    I have never had a moving experience like this one. They made what used to be a stressful hassle, something I hardly had to think about.
    
    It is the people at Los Angeles Transfer that place them far above any competition. Even if the prices were doubled, I would still pay to work with these professional and relational people.
    
    Thank you David and LA transfer.
    Trust me… I will be calling you guys again, for another move.

11. Happy with Los Angeles Transfer and storage service.

    Los Angeles Transfer and storage has provided excellent service and on time delivery. They did proper packing and delivered things very carefully. The cost is also nominal. David Hirsch was very helpful and worked with us in professional manner.

12. Amazing movers.

    This company helped so much.. they shipped everything from NY to LA and didn't charge me extra for the stairs not to mention the man on the phone was super professional and curdiest. I'm very with the service and will definitely recommend.

13. Move from LA to NYC.

    Despite a bit of hesitation due to price--I was assured that the service would be to a high standard, effective and timely. I moved from LA--NYC and given a move of this nature, hiccups are bound to be encountered. However, Dave and co addressed these problems in a fair and friendly manner, going above and beyond to offer solutions that were satisfactory. Highly recommend.

14. Warning - Do not use Los Angeles Transfer and Storage.

    Use Presto Moving & Storage instead.
    
    We previously used Presto for our move from CA to FL without any damages to our items. Fast forward two years later for my Mom's move from CA to FL. We opted to go with Los Angeles Transfer and Storage because they were slightly cheaper. This was a costly mistake as all four dining chairs had paint scraped off, one caster leg on a desk chair broke off as did one of the wooden legs on an antique chair.
    
    We filed a claim for damages. After several phone calls and emails, reimbursement for damages was only $177.00. This was based on which box was checked and signed for on the contract. It was true that she 'signed' for limited liability however she did not check the box for this option.  There is a difference between signed and checked.  The rep, David, put an X next to three places where my Mom needed to sign.  One was 'Form of Payment at Delivery'.  Another was 'To Be Signed Upon Pickup'.  The most crucial was 'Option A: Limited Liability'.  The box for that option was not checked.  Instead of giving my Mom an option of selecting Option A or Option B which was Replacement value, David put an X next to where she was to sign for Option A.  There was no discussion about the options.
    
    At the time of this transaction, my Mom was a single 80 year old woman preparing to move from California cross country to Florida.  The process was overwhelming for her.  David preyed upon her vulnerabilities by not taking the time to explain the options to her.  It is very sad that an individual would do this.  I doubt he would do this to his own mother.
    
    In addition, they stole a full bottle of Valium from her medicine cabinet.

    Moved from LA to Seattle. Movers did it quickly and efficiently. Price was affordable and competitive for the distance/time.
