  1. Moving.

    Terrible customer service. The 3 guys who moved me did not speak english. It was extremely frustrating. When I complained to Gabriela C, I was called a racist. It took them 33 days to being my things from Alberta to Ontario. They demanded a certified cheque from TD bank only. TD is not my bank and would not give me one. I talked to a man at the company and he asked for half of the money as an etransfer the day before and the remainder in cash upon delivery. On the day they were supposed to deliver, I was informed it would be the next day, only after I called them wondering where they were. When I asked Gabriella why I was not notified, she said she just found out now herself. They were late delivering due to a flat tire. The only upside to this whole experience was the 2 men who unloaded the truck. They spoke English and were very nice. I have some items that are broken. Now I have to deal again with this company to get reimbursement. I would NEVER recommend this company!

  2. Inter-provincial Move - Bad experience.

    The movers came late, couldn't find the loading dock (basic research), were argumentative, and charged a surprise fee on the day they arrived because they "estimated" the distance was over 100 feet from their truck to the suite, before they even went up the elevators.

    If you don't pay the surprise fee RIGHT AWAY, they will literally hold your furniture hostage. It shows what kind of people are running this business. These are the kind of people that are used to cheating/scamming others so they expect the same behaviour out of their customers.

    Just look at the other bad reviews (on Google), and look at how the business responds. Always threatening, always defensive, always blaming the customer. It's pathetic.

    There are MUCH BETTER moving companies out there. Don't use this one.

  3. Stay away from this company.

    Unprofessional and the worst service I’ve ever had. Be careful of the weight as they overcharged as weight too high. Had it reweighed and it was less. Do not trust this company as they show zero respect for the customer and the worst customer service.

  4. Do NOT use.

    Do NOT and I repeat DO NOT use this company. I had booked this company a month ago and had a date to move from ON to AB. I was supposed to get a confirmation call the day before pick up to confirm the time and I never got a call. The day they were supposed to pick up I had to call them and was given a 4 hour time frame. They did not show up apparently their truck was too full. They would not confirm they could be there the next day and offered very little help. His exact words were it’s out of my hands. Horrible customer service and management. Please avoid this company at all costs!

    STAY AWAY from Real Canada Wide Moving Services Inc. Very unprofessional and has VERY BAD customer service. Need NOT to say more, find other reputable movers if you can!! This will save you a LOT of headache.

  6. Very Good Company.

    Very easy moving experience with Real Canada Movers. They came on time, and were prepared and eager to work, were very hard and efficient workers. One of the movers even fixed a couple of pieces of furniture in the process! I also very much like that they are very upfront about their prices and what fees they are going to charge - absolutely no hidden fees whatsoever, I paid for exactly what I was quoted and no more.Ask them home estimation, they do free home estimation and you never get any hidden fees.

  7. Didn't show up.

    Didn't show up. I flew with my wife to Montreal from Alberta to assist our daughter's packing and clean up of apartment. We had confirmed booking for move on Sept.29th between 8 - 11 am. At 8:11am that morning we received a call that truck had broken down day before and the soonest they could move our daughter's belongings was in 5 days. I asked if any solutions they could provide us and they recommended we hire a moving truck to pick-up and store until they could get there (ironic?). I then called the customer service specialist line, and left a message to call us back please. Without a vehicle, we finally securred a pick-up last minute in Montreal (not as easy as you may think..ha) and moved everything ourselves to a Uhaul facility that impressed us so much, we gave them the business to transfer the belongings to Alberta for us. Upon getting back to work this morning (Oct.1) in Alberta, I still hadn't heard back from Real Canada Wide Moving so I called to ask if I could speak to a manager about our crisis over the weekend. They indicated I would receive my deposit back, and sure enough a few hours later I received an email 'sorry about that, we refund your deposit. Your receipt is attachment. Have a good day!' As an owner of a few Alberta businesses, I would punish MYSELF if this was my best customer service. Wouldn't recommend.

  8. Items missing, damaged, do not recommend.

    These guys were not very professional, the movers were not at all careful with the products during either the loading, storage, or unloading phases. Many of my items were damaged and my floor safe inexplicably didn't make the trip from storage to my new house.
    They only have a 10 day window from delivery to get your claims in which is a pretty short when you're moving a family with young kids between cities.
    The actual movers were also very tough to communicate with due to large language barriers; I might as well have had them just load everything into my garage as they either ignored or did not understand where I told them to put stuff so I had a tremendous amount of hauling to do after the fact.
    Also, the estimates on weight were low-balled and the move ended up costing probably 40% more than we had anticipated (maybe we just have exceptionally heavy possessions).
    Overall, not happy, would not use again.

  9. Moving.

    So finally my movers showed up this past Saturday, I have to say the movers were quick, professional and courteous and very quick!
    Hopefully the rest of the experience getting our belongings to Calgary will go just as smooth.

    After looking into a few companies, I choose these guys.
    I was dealing with Gabriela, trying to ensure our belongings would arrive in Calgary the week of September 25th, she assured me that it would happen. I have booked flights for my family for the 27th hoping our things will arrive prior to that. We have a 5 and 6 year old and do not want them going to an empty house.
    Our pick up was booked for September 5th, they called me the day before and gave me a window of 3-6pm. Driver finally calls me at 7pm, tells me they will be here at 11:30pm! I told him, are you kidding me!! Who the heck moves at 11:30pm!! I called the office in Edmonton and explained. To Gabriela's credit, she did look into it and made other arrangements for now a Saturday pick up. We shall see how that goes. I will write another review once the move is done! Stay tuned!

  11. Worst Moving Company!

    NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY!! They changed the pickup date to make sure our stuff would arrive on time, never showed up on the day and did not call to tell us they were running late, changed the time 3 times then never showed up. After finally showing up 3 days later they said our stuff would arrive in Calgary by the 3rd when we would be there on the 1st. Had to call them every time we wanted an answer or the invoice. Multiple times there was no answer and no call back when they said they would. Also said they would refund us the deposit and never did. Now they are saying our stuff will not arrive until the 7th while we are living in an empty house. This is the third date that they have said our stuff will arrive. They have done nothing to help us and refuse to give any sort of discount or refund. Terrible customer service and absolutely NO help from the manager.

  12. Edmonton-Calgary.

    Oh my goodness, not at all a positive experience! Gabriela took my call,I wanted a quote and understanding as to how it all works as we have never used a moving company. Explained to her how my husband was recently disabled and my 19 yr old son was moving for university and we wanted to make the move as smooth as possible, I was trying to understand the weight and the cost around it & how it all actually worked, she took sometime to try & explain, I believed I understood it, ( until I received a phone call about payment on the other end; further into the story) & that my son would be the one receiving the delivery & I would not be there, so she took my credit card for the deposit & I reiterated that I was not on the other end to receive & that my son would be without my credit card would that be ok she said yes, then she called the next day and told me driver would call 30 mins prior to pick up between 9-1 the next day, then told me that because they are a Edmonton based company they travel to Calgary Tues & Saturday so it worked out that my son would get his stuff the next day and the driver would call him, I then said that I would not be there, how will I know how much, she said I could go to the weigh scales or the driver will call me with the actual weight. So they showed up at 9 no phone call though, that’s fine, just went to deliver in Calgary and they phoned me, not my son, ok, then my son phones asks how we are paying, they will not deliver anything Until payment!what! They have my card number, nope, has to be cash or etransfer! How the heck do I know what I am paying? Etransfer, I just moved in & have no internet! Anyways after fighting with Gabriela for 20 mins, yes I was panicked, I am the customer, get it so drivers don’t drive away, hopefully stop calling my son a Liar, yup, I was angry at that, then had Gabriela hang up on me, to a call back have the supervisor tell me I was rude to his employee, where is the money and the drivers were leaving and I would have to pay them for it coming back here, after I did the etransfer and they hadn’t received it yet, I was freaking out, then finally they received the payment, first things downstairs box springs don’t fit, they leave them outside ( in the pouring rain) then decide to drop boxes at the bottom of the stairs and that they were not going to attempt the sofas as the box springs didn’t fit, thankfully the landlord showed up and directed the drivers to do so as they were taking advantage of this young man.
    Totally disrespectful, rude, arrogant, unfriendly, no customer service skills.

  13. Look for another company.

    Please do not use this company for moving !! I hire the services of this company and I can not rate them worse than 0, otherwise I would. I moved from Montreal to Edmonton, they were going to pick up my boxes on a date we set and I scheduled my trip for the next day. They not only did not arrive on the established day, they did not call or respond. The next day, hours before my trip, they finally answered and told me that I had to set another appointment for the pickup. I had to talk to the new inhabitants of the apartment and ask a friend to be there that day. Because of the inconveniences caused, they said that they were going to give me a discount. They finally collected everything 3 hours after the time they had said. They say that it takes between 10 to 15 working days to deliver things, after 20 business days and several mail and calls they came with my things. Not without first charging me for the service and when I reminded them of the discount they told me they did not know what I was talking about. After fighting them they gave me 25 dollars of discount for all the inconveniences.
    Obviously the boxes were battered and in poor condition.
    The people who are in charge of the clients are rude and have no education. (The worst is Gabriella).
    As I said before, to avoid problems, better choose another company.

    Thank you realCanadamovers for the worst experence. You guys doesn't deserve to be called as Canadians. Rude and worst experence from moving specislist Gabriela C., a lady who is very inhumane and rude with customers. Delt with another man called Dave, speaks like an Idiot and has no commonsense. They delayed my shipping and told lies to justify it. When I questioned it, they were very mad and rude. Don't trust them and they are the biggest liers I met on my life. If you are looking for someone who is professional, human, trustworthy or respectful never choose this company.

  15. Moving experience.

    Booked this company to move me from Cold Lake to Nova Scotia . The move was to take place on June 26 paid a deposit. Get a call from Gabriella the lady I booked with on June 25 to inform me that they didn't have the permit to move me. What company waits till the day before to inform you of this I was to be out of the apt by the end of the month. Spent the morning trying to find another company on short notice to move me worst customer service I have ever experience would advice anyone not to use this company. Still waiting for my deposit to be returned to me. Do not use this company to move totally a rip off.
