Stellar Performance.
This is the fourth time that we used this moving company and once again they were absolutely awesome. They are always on time or early and they keep within the time limit that we are given on the estimate. They wrapped up everything and took care of it as if it was their own. They were very respectful, professional and courteous. I would recomment them for anyone who wants their stuff moved in a timely and professional fashion. Thanks again guys great job.

Where do I begin..
First Impressions: First Contact:
Steve from Silver Star explained everything that would be done.. sent an estimator within 30 minutes that I called him.. he came back within the hour with a quote.. WOW! That was fast.., He was cognizant that this was for my elderly mother - in - law that was moving and speaks only Spanish, so what does he do to easy her worries? He sends a Spanish speaking rep. WOW! Talk about taking care of the client!
The movers - day of move:
ON TIME! And they were the following: respectful, courteous, pleasant, and professional and took every ounce of care with her things as if it were theirs.. WOW again!
The Individual guys:
Luis/Flaco: Foreman on job, can't say enough about him. He managed the job like a well-oiled machine. NO SLACKING.. THIS GUY is AWESOME.. he made sure that they stayed on time and within the quoted price.. KUDOS TO YOU! If I had guys like this working for me I would be richer.. He was focused and determined to complete the job in the quoted contract estimate. Not every job can this be accomplished on the quoted timeline due to unforeseen issues but, he does keep everybody moving on a timeline to reassure the clients that they are not just low balling a quote.. and doing everything possible to meet the quoted price. AMEN to honesty and professionalism! KUDOS FLACO!
Richie and Santos.. The movers.. These guys are the nicest most professional movers I have ever experienced and I should know because I have moved 3 times in 10 years.. these guys are the best.
I will always be grateful to Steve, Flaco, Richie and Santos for making this move so easy. My mother is very happy and very relaxed due to their professionalism and treating her just like their own mom!

Great Last minute movers.
My moving experience could have been an absolute nightmare.. I needed a last minute mover and had my elevator at the apt. I was moving into broke down! Therefore, this became a 5th floor walk up move. Steve who arranged the whole move was extremely accomodating, professional and made me the best deal! He also stuck to his word , no hidden random fees which was shocking! If you ever call them ask for Steve! David the mover and his team were on time, did a great job, did not break a single thing.. I had a lot of expensive artwork and let them know and they made sure to pack it last and not a single thing was damaged! One more thing I have to add the level of professionalism and happy attitude was a plus! Never did I expect happy movers walking up 5 flights of stairs! I would definitely use them again.
Don't use!!
We used them to move this past fall ( 2012). We needed someone to pack for us and move. Called the company and had an in home estimate. The estimator gave us a quote with a Lowe and higher number. We went with the higher so there would be no issues or more
Money owed. Re movers arrives a half hour early which was fine. However the foreman asked to see what needed to be done and then told us that they couldn't do all this. He said the papers only said a few items and that's all they can do. We called the office and they cleared it up or so we thought. The movers packed haphazardly. They wrapped plastic cups but just placed fine china in a box. They wrapped baseball hats!! They also left tons of stuff in the apartment which we had to move ourselves. Once they were done, the foreman told my husband that he had to give each if the men atleast 100 dollars each plus overtime fees.

Im glad I chose to go with silver star movers. The workers worked in a speedy yet productive manner. They made a hard task look simple. The workers were very friendly, costumer service was excellent. They made sure to handle all of my personals with care. Not to mention they went out of their way to offer me the best service for the best price. Although I don't plan on moving any time soon, I will definitely refer silver star movers to anyone.

I have tried removing a previous review I posted here about Silver Star. I was contacted shortly after my move by Jeff, who could not have been more pleasant and sympathetic. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Silver Star is in the process of changing their processes, unfortunately I had to deal with some people from the old regime previously. Jeff apologized profusely for this, and made sure my money was refunded. I would highly recommend Silver Star under their new ownership and for their excellent customer service. .
DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS - scam artists!!
I spoke to Pat, who seemed like a very nice guy who promised the moon including all packaging supplies and that the quote of 275 would not be exceeded. After the move, I was handed a bill of a whopping 670!! I couldn't believe it. We lost our home in the hurricane, I am 6 months pregnant, and scheduled this emergency move to get what we could salvage into storage. I don't know how these people sleep at night - after researching I found that they do this to everyone. You will not find one good review unless the company wrote it themselves. Do not use these movers under any circumstances unless you want to be taken for everything they can get. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and telling everyone I know about these master scam artists.
Very Poor Business!!
1. My move was from 4:20pm until 2:00am in the morning. 2. I was told that everything for the move was included by Pat. 3. One of the movers told me before he was even finished that my bill was $1500.00, which in fact he added a fee for the blankets, disassemble/reassemble, bubble wrap, wrapping of tv's and wrapping of my furniture. 4. I also had to help pack and move some of my furniture and use my vehicle to move it. 5. The mover finally charge me $1000.00 after a dispute and would not give me a receipt. 6. The movers a lot of my boxes in the living-room. 7. They left their blankets wrapped on a lot of my furniture and didn't even put all my furniture back together. I have to find the shelves and put it back together myself. Some of my furniture is scratched I pictures for proof. 8. I called to speak with Tom and informed him of what happened and he stated that I should not have been charged for what should have been included. He said that he would talk to the owner and get back to me, which he didn't. 9. So to say the least I was about to get ripped off by the mover and the move was not finished in 10 hours. 10. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY .
Silver Star Movers.
These movers were the absolute worst. We saw online that they had good reviews (probably written by the company itself) so we decided to call them. The man we spoke to named Tom was very nice but also decieving. He gave us an estimate on the move, and told us the price wouldn't go up no matter what which ended up being completely false. The day of the move the men were 3 hours later and came in a truck much smaller than expected. They took all of our boxes first, rather than taking our furniture. By the time the truck was filled, they had only 1/3 of our stuff and almost no furniture of ours. We tried calling Tom and got a man named Alexi on the phone who was nothing but rude to us. They made us pay an extra 1600 because the workers would be going into over time. But they were late to begin with and then after they were done sat in the truck for about an hour and a half just waiting to leave. When they finally got to our new home they left all of the boxes in the front room and didn't even bother putting them in the rooms. Some of our things got dirty, and some of our belongings are missing. These people are surely unprofessional and should not be used.
We were without most of our furniture for a week until we could find a budget truck available. We ended up spended more money to move the rest of our stuff and overall it was just the worst moving experience ever. If we had a different moving company it would of been much better.
Lazy Movers.
Please..I beg of you, do not use these movers. I've moved quite a few times, and have encountered all kinds, and these movers were the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. First of all the were an hour and a half late. When they walked in the door - late - they started to complain about all the furniture we have. We have a scarcely furnished 2 bedroom apartment with an office. Most of our items my husband had already moved, and we had only a few boxes and some of the larger items my husband couldn't move himself. They packed all of the smallest items first, and then put the larger items at the end of the truck. Left a majority of our belongings outside because they said it couldn't fit in the truck. All of the items would have fit in the truck had they loaded the truck properly. They went on to the house with only half the truck loaded, and a majority of our household belongings sitting on the curb. Because I am 8 1/2 months pregnant, I could not go with them to the house to unload. Once they got to the house, they scratched the walls of our freshly painted apartment. Other movers had to help load and unload the rest of our belongings. A job that was supposed to start at 2pm - didn't show up until 3:30-3:45pm. By the time the other movers completed their other job, and were able to help us, we didn't get all of our stuff into the new house until after 9pm. My stuff sat on the curb for more than 3 hours. When my husband called management to complain - No answer. To summarize my experience: -The movers were late -They walked in the door and stated that they weren't going to complete the move. -They left my belongings unsecured and open on the street, after having improperly loaded the truck. -They did not complete the job. Do not waste your money on these movers. My phone is currenly dead, but please be on the lookout for pictures. I took pictures chronicalling the poor performance of these movers.
Missing Items!!
DO NOT HIRE!! They were hired to complete a move on 7/27/12 (FRIDAY) they broke my lamp, they scratched and chipped my bedroom furniture. But the biggest issue I have is that three (3) 4ft. framed pictures were missing. I sat and watched as they moved everything out of my old apartment, but these pictures never made it. I called there driver about an hour after my items where delivered to inform him that the pictures were not there, but he did not return my call. I then called him back the following day (SATURDAY) to speak with him about the pictures and stated they were probably left on the truck, and he would call the dispatch to check. I called their office myself that day, but I did not get a response. I left a message for the person who setup the move and he never returned my call. I then called the office the following day (MONDAY) and spoke with the dispatch supervisor and I explained the situation to him and he stated he would look into it but he never called me back. I called back the next day (TUESDAY) and spoke with someone else that works with the dispatch and basically called me a liar. He said he would look into, and I did not receiver a call back from him either. I then called back the next day (WEDNESDAY) I got the owner's info from the guy that setup the move. I called and left him a message and I sent an email, and you guessed it NO RESPONSE!!
