AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
They lost 2 boxes, 1 piece of furniture (bed head frame) and other small pieces of furniture, they did not reassemble all the furniture. They promised to come back to finalize their work the next day, they did not and did not answer the call and messages. Also, they charged extra, and driver had bad attitude. Filing a complain with the Consumer Protection Agency and bringing them to the Small Claims court
Lost & damaged items and no compensation payment
I strongly recommend against using this moving company.
My family moved back to Quebec from California more than a year ago. TransAtlas delivered our belongings more than 3 weeks after the contractual date. They literally wanted to dump the goods and be gone. I had to get mad to get them to cross reference each item against the shipping list.
TransAtlas lost 6 hockey sticks, both ends of our dining table, and one kitchen stool. They scratched our dining table, china cabinet, master bedroom armoire, and MB desk. They broke the glass shelves of the china cabinet and and 2 clay pots. Several boxes were practically round instead of square when they arrived.
I received one of the items they had lost one year after the original move... I might as well forget about the other items. One of the truck drivers (who is one of the owners, I believe) is the person taking care of claims...or not. He promised to pay for lost and damaged items 6 months ago: It never happened.
The only reason why I give TranAtlas one star is that they used a third party to pack our belongings in California and these guys did a good job.
Damaged and Lost
I recently moved from Montreal to Edmonton and had requested for the quote. they gave me a quote and finally when I wanted to fix a date for the pickup they said they do not have the schedule available and then the price they quoted was way high. Finally they suggested one of their sister concern - Transatlas.ca. I set up my pick up /drop for my 2 bedroom movement. They said they will pick up the stuff from Montreal by Transatlas.ca and will deliver the goods at Calgary later TransCanada will pickup from Calgary and drop off at Edmonton. Finally after 15 days I received my household stuffs. after unpacking I realized that my Sony TV has been damaged (Screen breakage) and my son's bicycle is lost. They do not have any information about the bicycle if it was left at the Montreal or the Calgary Ware house. But I lost the bicycle and my Sony Bravia 55" TV.
I lost the trust with these company. Would not recommend it to anyone.
My daughter's move from Guelph, Canada to Florida
These people are wonderful. I used them a year ago right at the beginning of COVID to move my daughter from Canada to FL. They moved us in 3 days time and delivered our goods 3 days later. Total of 6 days from the time I contacted them to delivery! They are the most courteous, helpful people. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I wish all movers were like that. Their communication was great too. We were worried because they were getting ready to close the border, and they even sent me a text to let me know they had crossed the border. Everything was packed very well and nothing was damaged. I will definitely use them again if I ever have the need.

I just would like to congratulate those Transatlas workers due to their honesty, diligence and respect. It was my first international moving experience from Toronto to Florida as a new immigrant and they have just proved that living in Florida will be so good as long as you can work with this kind of people.
Now, I am happy in Florida but if I ever have to move again, I know how to reach them! Thanks, guys!
Do not use this company.
I would not recommend this moving company. They quoted us quite low, and then raised the prices when our stuff was already loaded onto the truck. They also charged us $520 to repack some of the things they didn't like how we packed. To make matters worse, they left without telling us, and left some of our most cherished items at our old home.
When confronted about these things, the sales person just screamed at us, and didn't offer any kind of worthwhile explanation. We were quoted $2000 - $2500, and ended up paying $4000. Please go elsewhere.

Move from RI (USA) to Toronto (Canada).
Very professional team. They were on time at our place in RI, on the day of the move. Packed and loaded our stuff with care and were done in no time. We received the stuff in less than a week in Toronto. They were very prompt in delivering the stuff at our place in Toronto and assembled all the items. Overall very happy with their service and highly recommendable. Will surely use their service in the future as well.

When I moved across the country in Oct 2017, Transatlas was highly recommended by my friends who hired them 7 years ago. I'm thrilled say their reputation still stands as trustworthy and reliable. They also quoted the lowest price, and the actual cost came in under. I recently hired them again. Both moves were fast and flawless thanks to their 3 energetic and courteous movers/driver. They were careful with wrapping and transporting my furniture and valuables, packing the odds and ends into the wardrobes. I was refunded the full cost of the one item that was missing, without hassle. I received excellent customer service at the time of booking and throughout the stages of the move. I truly felt cared for!

I am in the process of moving from Montreal to Chicago. I had to employ three different companies to handle this, some based in UK and some based in Canada. Trans Atlas were by far the most organised, easiest to deal with, and efficient. I have no hesitation but to recommend them as a service.

Based on my previous moving experiences, I had some assumptions about this company because I had never tried them before. However, I would like to highlight essential points about them for any potential client.
1- WEIGHT ESTIMATION: This point is ultimately important as price generally depends on weight. Therefore, the crew estimated the total weight slightly lower than my estimation as I got rid of unnecessary stuff at a garage sale.
2-PACKAGING: Even though I did not have many knick-knacks and packed the rest of them, these guys wrapped them properly then put in a better box with a reasonable price.
3-DELIVERY: This is the fun part because I was able to receive my shipment on the right day with two hours delay as it was promised. Nevertheless, all team members were fast, ginger and collaborative enough to move all these heavy boxes in order to finish their task at the right time.
I wish the best for you guys and I hope I tipped you enough since I wanted to make a good start in Alberta!

I used Transatlas Moving Services for my move from New York to North York. I had a 2 bedroom condo contents. The movers handled the move very efficiently. They are very practical for NY traffic and elevator arrangements. They have appropriate experience and knowledge for long distance Moving and cross border transportation requirements.
I definetly recommend their services for Moving to USA and abroad.

I had a pleasant experience with Transatlas. They were on time for the pick-up, finished loading the items within the time frame. They were able to deliver to my NY address on the day I wanted as well.
Dishonest terrible people. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Highlights: horrible, rude and dishonest people. Will charge you waaay above their estimate, lie to you about the minimum weight, damage your stuff and won’t pay for it. Deliver anytime they want and will make sure there is nothing you can do.
This is one the worst moving companies you would ever see. I can go on for hours about how terrible they are. Bear with me:
1- I asked and insisted on my stuff being delivered on August 31. Didn’t care when they pick my stuff up. Told them just deliver on the day I want. They said sure. Picked up my stuff on the 25th (7 am) and delivered on September 5th. 6 days delays. Had to take 2 days off work, since they said we are delivering tomorrow and didn’t.
2- In the quote they gave they said price estimate for 5000 lb, minimum of 2000 lb load will be charged regardless. A professional estimated my weight 3000 lb. At the end they charged me for minimum of 5000 lb and didn’t provide my actual weight. They said we didn’t weigh your shipment!!
3- they damaged so many items. It was so bad that their people told me to email them and they will take care of it. So I did. No response. Won’t even take my calls or respond to my text messages.
The initial price estimate, with 2000 lb above my weight was $5000. I ended up paying $7000.

I hired this company several times for international moving. they are on time always and movers are very energetic. I had never any problems with my contract. really appreciate them for making easy and smoot each moving.
