  1. Terrible Communicarion, Late Delivery.

The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the moving coordinators at the LOCAL level have been friendly enough.

HOWEVER, DO NOT believe the 7-10 business day estimate. We're on 15 business days (21 calendar days) and our shell hasn't even left the destination warehouse. We moved from San Antonio, TX to Denver, CO and we're currently sleeping on an air mattress because our zippy shell has not yet arrived. Communication has been absolutely terrible. First we got an email saying our shell would be late, but no estimate was provided about when it would arrive. Then we got a phone call saying that our shell would arrive on the scheduled date. Great! That was pleasant news. Come to find out that person was wrong. It hadn't even left the San Antonio warehouse (and still hasn't).

Eventually I asked to speak to a supervisor. This was 5 days ago. That day he said he would call me by the end of the day AND email me with updates, neither of which has happened. Also, when I told him that our shell was late, he said he wasn't really concerned about it until it's about 15 business days late. Is he for real? I called back every day this week asking to speak to a supervisor, but no manager ever got back to me. The customer care team on the phone is nice enough, but being nice doesn't get our shell delivered on time.

At this point we have no idea when we're going to get our stuff. We keep being told we're on a "hot list" or "priority list" but no one can give us an estimate about when it will be picked up or when it will get to Denver.

They say their service is "fast" and "hassle-free". Don't believe them. Zippy Shell has been the most stressful part of our long distance move. Do not go with Zippy Shell.

  2. Not So Zippy Shell.

Not So Zippy Shell is great about calling to get your business. Once you sign up, that's when the communication ends. We moved from Utah to Florida. They contracted out the delivery service to a mover in Miami. Not So Zippy Shell could not confirm if and when our belongings would arrive. Our stuff arrived and they could not get their act together to schedule a delivery time. Forget about talking to a supervisor, they have no concept about customer service. Stay on top of them if you do decide to contract with them. Their concept of delivery is wait until you are furious and then they'll make your delivery a priority. At that, the delivery crew showed up almost 4 hours later then the latest time they said they'd arrive. It was nice that the delivery movers helped unload. That said, there largest container is too small. Go with PODS! It's the same price per sq ft for the larger container albeit there's no unloading assistant. While I can't speak to PODS customer service, it wouldn't take much to exceed Not So Zippy Shell.

  3. Failure at every step.

Zippy Shell's only value proposition to customers is that they coordinate the moving and storage of your goods with local franchisees and/or 3rd parties in the origin and destination markets, but they failed me at every point in the process. Before pickup, I called my moving coordinator (they moved from a dedicated coordinator to a pool of coordinators during our move) to let her know that we would likely need some items moved through our 2nd floor window because of narrow stairs. They were providing free loading help since they didn't have enough shells to drop one off with us and I wanted to make sure the movers could handle this. The rep assured me this would be fine but on moving day the movers were shocked and refused to help us. I had to scramble to find and pay handymen to move our things and was told by ZS I'd be reimbursed for this since their rep noted my call but never acted on it. At our destination, the day before our move the local warehouse called to confirm delivery but told me he had no idea what time they'd arrive. I had called the moving coordinators a few days prior and they'd said the shell would be delivered from 8-12 and I'd hired movers to help unload starting at noon. When I told the guy on the phone his response was that "they're in Florida and we're in California" as if that makes it ok. I ended up having to reschedule the movers; thank goodness they were actual professionals and very accommodating. Finally, once the shell was dropped off, it was locked with a lock that could only be opened with bolt cutters and yet the guy who dropped it off had no bolt cutters. I was once again promised by ZS that I'd be reimbursed for buying my own bolt cutters.

So far, I've not received a dime of reimbursement and I've been promised that a manager would contact me for almost 2 weeks now with no attempt to reach me despite multiple follow-up emails and phone calls on my part. No one in this company communicates with anyone else even though that's their entire role. If I wanted to contract with a mover, loading help, a storage company, etc. I could have done that. So what the heck did I pay for?

This company talks a big talk but they fail to deliver. Don't trust them with your money. It's a ripoff.

  4. Never Ever Use This Company.

    This company is UNBELIEVABLE.

FIRST, 1ST July we call them, they are nice enough. Make the reservation, they ASSURE US someone will call, confirm and charge CC on the 3rd for a move date of the 5th. they tell us in the CT area, we must use their movers. fine. We sign a contract for the 5th July

3rd July - NO COMMUNICATIONS. They charge the CC half the amount. We assume they will be here on the 5th.

5th July - NOBODY SHOWS UP. NO COMMUNICATIONS AT ALL. NO EMAIL. NO PHONE CALL. We call them, 30 min waiting, we leave a message. Unbeknownst to us, they refund the money. NO RETURN PHONE CALLS or EMAILS.

3 DAYS LATER, we finally get them after NUMEROUS CALLS. they say "the truck already left CT, you will have to call & reschedule.

4 DAYS later - We finally get them again, after several calls, THIS TIME, they say "our facility is full, we can't accommodate you. We refunded the money". First time we know that.

LATER THAT DAY.. they now say "We DON'T SERVICE CT, sorry" and hang up. Send the receipt that shows the refund.

We have no movers 10 days from moving 2000 miles. What a LYING LITTLE COMPANY.

LESSON HERE: DO NOT USE UNLESS you are PREPARED to get SCREWED and LIED TO.

  5. Spend more for bettee.

My experience with Zippy has been less than great. When you first call they're very attentive and helpful and call back quickly until it's all said and done. They charge you half before they even show up which is odd and then the other half before you even get your container delivered. The experience in Texas was good. They showed up at 7am without calling ahead though so we were woken by them but the local movers they hired were extremely professional and quick. Once we headed to Seattle is when it started to get bad. On the drive up there we got an email saying it has already arrived to the terminal a couple days after it was picked, great!

We then cannot get anyone on the phone to schedule the delivery. We called over 5 times and left messages every time with no response. We would call and ask to talk to our moving coordinator who actually must have gotten fired or quit as her extension didn't even work a few days after we talked first. Everytime we would call they would have an auto message saying they have high call volume and some 3rd party would answer and "take a message" (yeah right) and offer no help at all. I finally sent like 4 emails in a row saying how horrible the service has been and FINALLY we get a response back, and it happens to be from the VP of operations, Great! Finally some hope.

The next day we get a call saying they're going to reach out to the local warehouse to setup delivery.. uh okay but we have requested a day since the beginning.. and about 3 days later we get a call back saying it'll be setup. Great, by this point they already charged us the full amount for the delivery so you are at the mercy of whenever they want to deliver it.

So delivery day comes and they shell arrives on time, but the movers are going to be an hour late. No biggie, the delivery shell driver was extremely nice and friendly. The movers finally show up and it's clearly not a professional company as they show up in a civic and are stoned out of their minds. They have one crappy little dolly and basically move at a snails pace to the point that I am doing more work than them! What the heck are we even paying them for? Oh and our TV broke as the shell clearly went through some kind of massive trauma during transport even though everything was pad wrapped and packed by a professional moving crew in Texas. All and all this move is cheap but not worth the hassle. Spend a bit more and not deal with these clowns.

  6. Nightmare!

To be honest there is SO many issues I had with my experience with Zippy that I don't have time to list all the problems.
Rude service, no communication, extra hidden fees, untimely delivery, misquoted time of delivery, trailers not all delivered at the same time.. the list goes on and on and on and on!

Do NOT, whatever you do, use Zippy!! You will regret it.

  7. Moved from Texas to Wisconsin.

During a truly hard time in my life zippy shell took the worse part out of the equation for me. They load, store, and unload. The whole staff was amazing and super nice. I recommend them. I personally feel they had a better over view than pod. Worth every cent paid to make my life easier.

  8. Florida to Arizona Move.

Half of my experience with Zippy Shell was great, the other half was mediocre.
I had requested to communicate from the beginning via email (I find it more convenient, plus it gives you written documentation. Apparently, this was a big deal to certain employees from the corporate office, and I had to get the head honchos (boss) involved to approve it. Lol. I will say the "head honcho" handled it quickly and directly. Being communicated with via email continued to be an issue though..my "moving coordinator" huffed and puffed when I asked her to email me.
Zippy's pricing is definitely better than other container movers. I think your personal experience will depend on the franchise locations you are dealing with.
My experience with my origin location was wonderful. The Jacksonville FL team were fantastic..no complaints. They were quick and accomodating, and customer service oriented. They wanted me to have a very positive experience.
It only took my container 5 days to reach my destination location 2000 miles away, which was great. I had requested that my container be stored for about a week.
My destination location was a totally different experience. Cold, slow, and bothered are words that I would use to describe the Phoenix, AZ location. When I gave the "ok" to deliver my container, it took the Phoenix location 6 days to deliver it (longer than it took for my container to travel 2000 miles). Sorry, but I don't care how busy you are, you need to make cross country moves more of a priority..I had to go buy a camping mattress so I could sleep for the six days in my EMPTY house. The woman I spoke to on the phone from the local Zippy Shell was so RUDE and BOTHERED by my one call checking in to see if there was any possible way to deliver sooner. They must be rich people, because apparently they don't think me spending $2000 on their service warrants 5 minutes of their time on the phone.
My container arrived in great condition (we packed it ourselves).
Overall, I think your experience will depend on the local franchises. I would recommend Zippy, but set the correct expection that not all locations are created equal..I would NOT use the Phoenix location again.

  9. The worst.

Your job is simple. Pick up, drive, deliver. Add as many features as you'd like, but at the end of the day, it comes down to three key tasks. If it takes you an ungodly amount of time to deliver a container (10-14 Business Days.. Seriously?), and I have my things picked up early to ensure it arrives on time, I expect it to be delivered by the date you quote. No exceptions. Please realize that your containers are filled with everything that matters to us, including necessary elements for day to day living. I went without furniture for over three weeks. I drove through the worst snow storm of this decade to make this shipment date. I put myself in danger to be here in time for this delivery that didn't come. No phone call, no email, no text, NOTHING. After calling every number I could find, someone finally answered with an excuse, blaming the weather for the delay. You've had my container for 3 weeks, and the past 2 days are causing the delay, the two days I drove up through? Tell me how that works. The part that bothers me the most is the complete lack of communication. As a business, this is your sole priority. We received no discounts, no apologies, no follow up. I will NEVER use this company again, and have informed my company's relocation service of just how horrible this was. Avoid them at all costs.

  10. Ridiculous Runaround.

My Zippy Shell “experience” began in late October 2016. I sold my house in Seattle, WA and planned to
move to Las Vegas, NV, after the spending the holidays with family in Lacey, WA. I got quotes from several companies offering a similar service, PODS, ABF, U-Haul and ultimately decided on Zippy Shell, though more expensive, reviews were better than other companies.
We were not planning to move to Las Vegas right away but to
store our stuff for a few months while we looked for and purchased a home. We estimated that we would need our stuff February of 2017. I relayed that information to our salesperson Dennis Johnson. He assured me that Zippy Shell would be able to meet my needs, I went ahead and initiated the contract on
    November 4, 2016.
For the entire move from Seattle, WA to Las Vegas, NV less
storage past the first 30 days, I was quoted a total price of $2769 with
$1384.50 to be paid prior to delivery and $1384.50 to be charged after the 45th day in storage. I understood that my storage fee after the first 30 days would be $159 per month. The price was fair, as I was also able to take advantage of a promotion that included movers to load the Zippy Shell at my origin in Seattle.
Zippy Shell came to pick up our stuff on November 17, 2016 and the movers that were sent were absolutely amazing. They were professional, courteous and very efficient. They had our entire home and shed loaded into the container in less than 2 hours.
Our Seattle house was sold and closed that weekend and so we
were out by November 20, 2016, and we headed to Lacey, WA. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, we decided to not move to Las Vegas and instead stay in Lacey, WA. We made this decision in early January 2017 and I reached out to our Zippy Shell move coordinator, Autumn Ortiz by phone to let her know and to figure out how
to get our stuff redelivered. Autumn let me know that I needed to pay the other half of my move costs, $1384.50 and I would be able to get my stuff redelivered. That didn’t make sense to me since I was no longer moving from Seattle to Las Vegas but instead was staying local. When I asked her for a breakdown of the charges, she was unable to provide the information to me which
immediately caused an uneasy feeling. She emailed me a day later and offered the following “breakdown” which was unacceptable:
    (1) 15ft container Breakdown* WITH DESTINATION UPDATED TO SEATTLE, WA
    Breakdown of fees/total
    move cost:
$850 Origin Fees (Container delivery, handling & warehouse)
    $850 Destination Fees(Container delivery, handling, & warehouse)
    $300 Taxes & Misc Fees
    Total Cost of Move: $2,000
I reached back out to her to let her know that “breakdown” was cryptic and unacceptable. She said she would look into it for me. Unfortunately, a few days later, I had a death in the family and had to leave town unexpectedly. I emailed Autumn to let her know and advised that I would be back in touch after I returned home to Lacey.
Autumn reached back out to me to let me know that “In an effort to get your quote down to the lowest possible price for you, we were able to get our Franchise in WA to pick up your container and redeliver it at a later time once you decide you are ready to set that up. Doing this allows you to save an additional $250”.
She then provided a new cryptic breakdown:
    (1) 15ft container Breakdown* WITH DESTINATION UPDATED TO SEATTLE, WA
    Breakdown of fees/total move cost:
$850 Origin Fees (Container delivery, handling & warehouse)
    $250 Destination Container Delivery Fee
    $350 Unloading Service
    $300 Taxes & Misc Fees
    Total Cost of Move: $1,750
Again that breakdown was unacceptable but I did not have the energy or desire to deal with it.
I put the whole situation on the back burner for a bit and in early March 2017 I reached out to Autumn Ortiz by email and asked that a
manager give me a call to get this situation straightened out. Autumn emailed me back to ask why I needed to speak with a manager and I told her that I was not comfortable with the cryptic “breakdown” of my fees for just simply storing my stuff for a few months. Autumn let me know that she would request a call and her manager Marissa Belle(?) called the next day.
Marissa and I played phone tag for a bit due to the time difference and we finally connected March 15, 2017. I asked her to help me
understand why a 50-mile move is nearly the same cost as an 1100 mile move. I got the same hemming and hawing as I did when I asked Autumn the same question a few months prior. Marissa then said she would look into it. She gave me a call back the next day to tell me that she would be initiating a refund for
$711 to my card and that I should reach out to the local customer service representative to arrange for the redelivery of my items. Since I had gone several rounds and still did not understand what I was being charged for I just gave up because I needed to get my stuff out of storage with Zippy Shell.
I followed up on my refund status on March 20, 2017 just to
ensure that it was processed back to my card since I did not see the amount reflected in my online banking. I called Autumn Ortiz, and she didn’t answer so I sent her an email asking for confirmation. She informed me that a check had been mailed to my Seattle address. I do not live in Seattle nor have I since November 2016. I promptly emailed her back to let her know that and provided my address for the 4th or 5th time. Autumn called me back to say that the check was actually mailed to Lacey, WA which is untruthful since she didn’t have my Lacey address and never asked for it. I will remind you, MarissaBelle initially said it would be credited back to my card.
I called the local representative I was referred to and was
delighted to speak with Dawn Marie Clifford. She was quick and efficient and was able to arrange to have my stuff to me the following week. To my dismay and also beyond her control I had to pay another $399 to get my stuff back from Zippy Shell. I went ahead and paid it because I need my things, and no longer want Zippy Shell to store my possessions.
I shared with Dawn the issues I have dealt with in working with Zippy Shell and she apologized profusely for my experience even though it had nothing to do with her.
To date, we have paid Zippy Shell, $2,260.50. The breakdown of that is
my down payment of $1384.50, $477.00 for storage, $300 for movers at the destination and $99.00 for container redelivery. I was “refunded” $711.50 making my total spend $1549.50.
While speaking with Dawn, I asked her to quote me for a
local move with movers to help on both sides and 3 months of storage. She came up with a detailed breakdown and total cost of $1460 which made complete sense and was NOT cryptic! It really did not seem that difficult to provide me a detailed breakdown of the cost of doing business with Zippy Shell. Granted that total cost is only a few hundred dollars over what I have spent so far but the
insane trek to get to this point is unacceptable.
In my opinion, what should have happened when I initially
called Autumn to tell her we weren’t moving was that she refund what I already paid then transition my account from the long distance team to the local team. I should have been able to pay the local team for the movers and the storage I used and then been able to get my stuff back. Instead, my items were essentially held hostage and now I have paid a lot of money for services NEVER rendered.
I have written to the corporate office asking for a review of my experience. I will happily update my review if their proposal to fix this is acceptable.

  11. Unmatched Moving and Storage Service.

As a millennial who is always on the go, I truly appreciate the uniqueness that Zippy Shell brings when it comes to making a move.

I grew up with a father in the military and spent my entire life moving every couple of years. However, I have never had a better moving experience than with Zippy Shell! Everything from the price to the customer service is outstanding and incomparable!

The storage options really helped free up some space at my new apartment and give me some time to sort things out and decide what I wanted them to haul back to the warehouse for me.

Moving can be stressful. It's easy for people to get frustrated with little things and small mistakes companies like this can make. But I can assure you that Zippy Shell is truly unmatched when looking at other storage and moving options. I can't say enough good things about them!

  12. Move from Chicago to Chapel Hill.

My wife and I relocated from Chicago to Chapel Hill, NC because she accepted a new job. The job provided us with temporary housing while we sold our condo in Chicago and tried to find a home in Chapel Hill. We decided we would use Zippy Shell as they would not only move, but could store our belongings while we transitioned from our condo to our new home. They were an absolute disaster!
While getting a quote from Zippy, my wife worked with a moving specialist who went through a checklist of our items and the size of our condo. He told us we would need one 15' shell. She asked for two to be safe. Twice. Each time she was told only one was needed. A moving company would be subcontracted to load our belongings into the shell. We set the date for the loading.
The day of the loading the shell arrived 30 minutes early. We live in the city and were lucky enough to have space on the street in front of our condo to park the truck and shell. The driver would wait with the shell in case it needed to be moved. The movers called to say they would be there early, which was 45 minutes AFTER our scheduled start time. Part of the agreement with Zippy Shell is you have a 3hr window to pack the shell. The movers said their paperwork from Zippy said a 10am start time. I spoke with the driver who indicated his paperwork said 9am. We called Zippy because we were worried we would go past our window with the movers arriving late. They said the movers were running late and they would try to help us if we ran over our window. The movers arrived with paperwork from Zippy that showed 10am. My wife called Zippy while I talked to the driver. Zippy was adamant the movers were late. The driver showed me a text message from his boss saying he forgot to tell him the move got pushed back an hour. Zippy lied to us and blamed the movers. Great start. The movers walked through our unit and indicated one shell will not be enough for our items. We called Zippy, and here's where things go off the rails. They said they couldn't get us a shell that day. They wouldn't be able to get us a shell until the following Monday (the move was on a Friday). We had made travel arrangements to leave Chicago later that day. I talked to driver and explained the issue. His response was that Zippy could get another shell to us but won't because they don't want to pay overtime to a driver to bring one. We pleaded with the customer service rep. The response was this was our fault, that we filled out the checklist incorrectly. The same checklist that their moving specialist filled out over the phone. No one came to our home to see what we had. We asked for two shells and were told twice we only needed one. The rep did offer one solution..we rent a Uhaul, pack the remainder of our belongings, drive them to their warehouse and then pack them ourselves into a shell there. So we would pay them while we moved our own stuff. Got it. At no point did they offer any sympathy or a willingness to help us. We were told it was our fault and they couldn't do anything. At their mercy, we had to schedule a second move. They were a room and a half short by the way, not just slightly off in their estimate. We would have to pay for this second move. And I would have to take time out of work and purchase a plane ticket to fly back to Chicago to be there. We set the move up for the following Saturday morning. The driver arrived with the pod. The street was now full so I told him we would just have to load in the alleyway. He said the shell was set up as a drop and not for him to stay with it. You can't drop a shell in the city. It's a fire hazard in the alleyway. The last move was not set as a drop. Why would they set the second one as a drop? He said he would call his boss and see what they wanted to do but that they might have to cancel the move because he had another drop to make in the morning. I flew back to Chicago to complete this move and I was being told it might need to be cancelled. I couldn't believe it. After a few unsuccessful calls he decided on his own he would take the shell to his next stop. He would then grab another and drive back with it and stay with it. This was a life saver. However, I now had movers at my condo waiting for two hours for a shell to arrive. Loading of the second shell was completed and I was able to make my flight back to NC.
Once we closed on our new home we set the delivery of our two pods. They showed up late of course. And with only one pod! We asked about the second pod. The driver wasn't aware of a second pod. We reached out to Zippy but our moving coordinator was not in the office yet. We spoke to someone else who said they would look into it. We heard back from our move coordinator 2 hours after the unloading started. The subcontracted movers were done with the first pod. We were told the second pod was running a little bit behind but would be there in 30 minutes. An hour later, still no pod. We were told it was common that they staggered pods for unloading and it would be there within the hour. I found this interesting that they would hire a moving company to sit at my house waiting for the pod. Clearly another lie. Another hour, no pod. Finally, 6 hours after the first pod arrived our second one made it to our door.
To be fair, both moving companies that were subcontracted did a good job. We had minimal damage and both were courteous and diligent.
Overall, this was the worst moving experience I have ever had. They were unorganized, they lied, they blamed us for their mistakes, and in the end we ended up paying almost double their original quote, not to mention having to take time out of work and pay for flights. Do not use this company. It will be a decision you will regret.

  13. Best Relocation Experience.

Where do I begin? I have relocated and lived in 8 different states so that means I have experiene with van lines, direct, and contract broker movers (don't use brokers) No move has compared to Zippy Shell and I am now a loyal customer. The owner, John, made the whole process so easy! We had an amazing team of gentleman that treated our items with genuine care. They were careful with all the furniture and they listened to all our concerns.. but after a few minutes of watching them work, our concerns melted away because it was evident these guys knew what they were doing. We had a long distance move that required a next day meet for unloading. Timothy and Montreal called us 10 minutes before our meet time to confirm we were still on schedule. (They did that for loading too)
Thank you Zippy Shell for making this move so stress free! Thank you Timothy and Montreal for being rock stars and going the extra mile with a smile!!

  14. Horrible.

Everything in the shell was damaged. They provided movers who didn't pack properly. When I brought it to their attention, they stated that they never hired movers on my behalf and they weren't responsible for the damage. 3 TVs, 2 oak dressers and a sofa are all trash now. I'm going to file a formal complaint with the state of Maryland Consumer Protection Bureau. What a horrible experience.

  15. Horrible customer service.

I am in the middle of trying to move this weekend and decided to use zippy shell after hearing so many great things about the company and it has turned out to be the biggest nightmare! The lack of communication and poor customer service have left me utterly frustrated. It all started Wednesday, I reached out midday to find out when the movers would be arriving the next morning since I had not heard anything yet. I received an email from my moving coordinator stating she would find out and get back to me and then I heard no response until around 5:30pm that evening when I found out I would only be getting one of the two containers I had reserved all the way back in March, she informed me that there were no other containers available until Monday a whole 4 days later than promised, even though they did deliver containers Friday and Saturday they were "already reserved for other customers." I told her Monday would not work for my timeframe as I had to be out of my rental Monday morning. She offered to have them free load my belongings into the same truck that held my container and then people in a warehouse would transfer my belongings into a container when one arrived, however if they didn't all fit in a container I would be charged for a third container and I did not like the idea of my belongings being moved again as it increases the risk of damage and things getting lost. So this was not a viable option and not what I paid for as I was sold on the idea of having my belongings safely packed away with the only key in my possession. So she said she would try and see what she could do and get back to me, I heard nothing that night and I was never even informed what time they would be bringing my first container so I called and emailed my moving coordinator multiple times with no response Thursday morning. Eventually her manager called me back Thursday around 10am after the moving truck had shown up apologizing that I had multiple unanswered phone calls (aka my moving coordinator was avoiding answering my phone calls because she didn't want to deal with me) I was informed there was still no second container available I expressed my frustration that I felt like I was getting the short end of the stick and why was I having to wait 4 days while those scheduled Friday and Saturday got to keep their reservations, just because I got held up in line doesn't mean that the people behind me should be served before me, I should get their slot making my move one day late and then subsequently move the other customers back one day as well..why should I have to be the only one who has to suffer the consequences of Zippy shell's mistake and by FOUR days!?!? Who has four days that they can easily compensate for in an out of state move? So the manager said she would work on it and do her best to get me a container and get back to me.. Well you guessed it no response once again and I called 4 times and left messages with no response at all.. So I wrote and email to my moving coordinator on Thursday evening to forward to her manager and asked that she call me first thing in the morning we are talking Friday now, and once again no call, in the mean time I started researching my other options since I couldn't seem to even get ahold of anyone at Zippy Shell let alone get any type of reassurance that they could actually provide the services I contracted them for. I finally initiated contact again and called and got an answering machine once again and eventually was able to get ahold of the manager after multiple attempts who acted oblivious to the multiple missed calls, messages and also stated that she never received the email forwarded from my moving coordinator. Which frustrated me even more, here I am already past the date my stuff was suppose to be packed and on its way and they don't even seem to care. She told me she would have to check and see if there was any progress on finding me another container and wanted to "call me back" which I'm sure would have never happened or possibly hours later so I decided NO I'm not doing this anymore I want a refund on my second container and I believe I deserve a discount on the first container and she said ok I need to talk to my pricing manager and I'll get back to you..4 hours later nothing! I called and no answer I waited thirty minutes I called again finally she called me back with the updated price which was less than a third of the price off, I told her that was unacceptable and I wanted to talk to the pricing manager, miraculously this manager actually called me in a reasonable amount of time and informed me that she even thought the price was "shocking" but unfortunately that was the best they could do they were admitting they made the mistake and so they were not making any money but that I still had to pay freight, origin and destination warehouse fees which was over $2600 for one container which is an exorbitant amount if you ask me! I told her that I would never have knowingly paid that much for one container and that I felt like the company should have to pay for their mistake not me. I had to get a large uhaul and find people to help loading last minute and I spent hours of time trying to contact them and get this organized because no one would answer the phone or even call me back and that was the best they could do!! I will never use Zippy Shell again and I will tell everyone of my horrible experience in hopes that I will be able to save them some undue stress in an already stressful time. Save yourself the hassle and find someone else for your move, I sure wish I had!
