  1. Don’t fall for it, they are liars.

    We dealt with a Brian S. Please stay away from him as all he did was lie to us. Not a single thing we originally agreed on stayed true in the end. The driver showed up and was completely unprepared. Not only unprepared, he had a completely different contract from what we originally agreed on. I imagine a company like this is supposed to make the moving process easier but no, they only made it extremely tedious on us. We ended up suffering in the end because of how much they lied to us. I’m amazed typing this because I’ve never heard of a company lie this much to the customer. We were willing to pay hard earned money for a service and they ruined it 100% by lying to us and then acting like we were the fools. Hidden fees left and right. There was a hidden fee for going up and down a staircase. What kind of ridiculous fee is that? I’ve never heard of such a thing. They wanted to charge us $300 dollars for loading a video game console. They told us the piano will be taken care of. They get here and wanted to charge $350 just to package it. They wanted to charge us $48 per box. In the original deal, we were supposed to be given 50 boxes upfront. Imagine the look on our faces when this news is brought to us. The whole thing was wrong. All the payments were wrong. Originally the final deal was to cost $6,575. They get here and wanted us to pay $13,583 + potentially more. They told us over the phone that storage would cost $350 after the free month. We find out this was also a lie, as it was supposed to cost $1,500. I’m trying to specify just how wrong every single number they told us was. We gave them a virtual tour so there were no surprises. It comes down to the final deal, and there are plenty of surprises. I’ve never dealt with such a poor company. All rude, careless after they have a deal and did nothing to help the situation. We trusted them and they did nothing but fail us. We ended up cancelling the deal and in the last minute, we have to scramble for a new company. We ended up taking the local route which is significantly cheaper which no complaints. The worst thing about this to me is just how much of an idiot they took us as. Please don’t fall for the same trick we fell for. It’s not worth it and will only make your moving experience miserable. Find a different company. Please. 0/5. 0/10. 0/100. Such a regret. Once they get a deal, they won’t return your calls. They got our money and it was impossible to get hold of anyone. Pathetic.

  2. Kept my deposit.

    I cancelled a move within 24 hours of entering into an agreement with American Standard, well within the allowable time frame stated in the contract. Unfortunately, the only service the company provided was keeping my $2200 deposit. Four months of e-mails and phone calls have only resulted in broken promises (i.e. we will mail a refund after the holidays or at the end of the month). Not having my money during the current shutdown has been especially difficult. Please enter into an agreement with this company cautiously! I’m sure American Standard is enduring the same hardships as other businesses right now; however, I can’t even get a reply to an email.

  3. Dont use them!

    Your stuff to get to your destination in the same condition they picked it up do NOT use these movers! They ruined a dining room chair that is part of a set. The snapped the crystal tops of two lamps and I later realized they tore off half of a torchbearer lamp. When I chose them they told me they they agreed the insurance offered of a few cents to the pound of an item was not good for the consumer and they assured me they would not do me wrong, and would reimburse me a fair amount. In the end I was reimbursed 100 dollars had have several ruined and/or broken items. Important to add, they packed every item that broke!

  4. Crew were all wonderful to work with!

    They were very conscious of time and were extremely polite. Furniture was wrapped in protective plastic. Pads were taped around pieces needing protection. No hidden fees or charges. At our new place, everything was arrived in its perfect condition. Surely recommend!

  5. It's been 2 months and still no refund as promised.

    I hired this company to move me to another state. They guaranteed me a full refund without penalty if I canceled 2 months prior to the scheduled move date. They told me they would have a check in the mail to me within 2 weeks. It has been 2 months since I canceled and they keep saying I am on the list for a refund, but they haven't sent it and can't tell me when they will. One of their customer service agents, Emily, is extremely rude and has no customer service skills. I would stay as far away from this company as possible.

  6. They were professional guys!

    They showed up on time, worked very efficiently, and did a great job. They wrapped and disassembled everything, loaded the truck, and then reassembled it in our new place. Would totally recommend them again.

  7. Scam!!

    To start, my original window was 9-11 AM. The movers didn't arrive until 4 PM. Called dispatcher twice to get an update where they changed the arrival time both times. Worst part, they WILL overcharge you. Got over quoted for the space of my entire storage unit in order to avoid having to pay more than what we agreed upon. Ended up paying double what I was quoted because my items apparently took up more space in the truck than what I was quoted for. Don't understand how the exact cubic square feet of my unit (and then some) that I was quoted for could fit everything but took up more space in the truck..especially considering I left a few larger items behind for this exact reason. I highly recommend you find a much more reliable, prompt and honest company to move you.

    I am very happy with my move with American Standard Moving & Storage The crew are very cooperative and and professionally trained. They skillfully managed everything. When I received everything 3 days later, they unloaded in just half an hour. Nothing was missing or broken. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

    You people know how moving stressful is but American Standard Moving & Storage is a best servicing company. The company team was very polite and kind and the people fun to work with. The team head was actually very nice and was polite and he told us all about the moving process and had done all the work safely.

  10. Dissappointed, Unsatisfied, Not Happy at All.

    Out of the 4 movers I have used never have they ever put glass together in a blanket. I’m not a professional mover and I know each glass needs in their own separate blanket to protect it. They shattered the 3 glasses that were in my China Cabinet and cracked the outside glass of it. After I told them they said that I did not get their insurance and that glass is not guaranteed. How about they learn how to professionally package items before starting a moving business.

    My colleague recommended this company as he had used them in the past and was satisfied with their services. They were on time, quick and professional with affordable price. I loved that they made sure that at my new place, the carpet would be kept tidy, by putting blankets on there when we were unloading the equipment.

  12. Take advantage of customers.

    This company gets 5 stars for taking complete advantage of you. They will promise you one price and increase it an EXTREME amount!! After I put a deposit, the customer service went into the toilet. I had an employee “Scott” Talk to us so poorly and he increased our price as much as he wanted. Then proceeded to tell us we absolutely don’t get our deposit back so he has no problem cancelling our truck. Please watch out and avoid this company.

  13. Absolutely horrendous company to deal with.

    Them and especially the companies they broker with to actually move your items. They make promises then don't deliver. They charge for services the drivers refuse to fulfill. "They'll put your furniture together when they get there for $200" Flat out lie. They will sit on your stuff and then call and run down a list of all these extra expenses you have to pay BEFORE they will deliver it. Their customer service gal is the most unprofessional, unreasonable person I've ever had to deal with in a professional setting. Their drivers can't drive. They tried charging me an extra $500 because "there were curves in the road". Yes that is a quote from them. Items listed on the inventory that are picked up don't make it to the final destination. 1 star is 1 too many.

  14. Disappointing experience with this company!!

    They claim to value customer service and their customers but I did not see any of that. Our movers showed up 3 hours late, had to call a third mover and took 8 hours. Immediately when they arrived they made multiple comments about how much stuff we had, the size and that we were moving to a 2 story. It was uncomfortable hearing negative comments about your stuff in your personal space go on for 8 hours. They showed high levels of dissatisfaction and were careless with my things. Ended up with a cracked 55” TV and was told that due to contract it is not covered. They refunded me 1 hour due to not being a satisfied customer. I had requested a full refund for the entire experience. The owner will not talk with you and management never once contacted me back on the claim, I called every time and felt I was just being shuffled around. If you are looking for high customer service do not use this company!! I now have to purchase a new TV and a sour taste in my mouth about movers.

  15. Do not recommend.

    I was moving long distance and this was a terrible company to chose. Here is a list of reasons:

    1. The representative that convinced me to use this company was great but as soon and I paid the deposit, he completely disappeared even though he was my "point of contact."

    2. Upon pick up and delivery, I was given a couple hour window and the movers were not even remotely close to those times.

    3. I ended up with a lot less stuff than I used in the estimate but somehow took up more space on the truck..? I ended up getting charged $500 more than the estimate.

    4. The entire 2 weeks it took to transport my belongings, I was completely in the dark. By this, I tried calling the representative and customer service but getting voicemail and never getting my calls returned. I emailed multiple times with no response either.

    5. When my stuff did arrive, some stuff was broken and/or ruined. The bed of the truck had to have been wet and so boxes were damp and falling apart and any wood was warped.

    This experience is something I could have lived without. The whole ordeal just felt very sketchy.

    Please use a different company for your own good.
