  1. Terrible Service!!

    My experience with this company has been awful. My pickup window was from 9-1 but they didn't show up until 5pm. This caused me to miss my outgoing flight. When they finally arrived they were very rude and threatening because they couldn't find a parking spot. They were very unprofessional to say the least. I would not trust them with my belongings at all. The worst experience!

  2. Do Not Hire This Company.

    I decided to support ASM Company because it is family owned.. only to be completely disappointed as well as disgusted with them.. let me start with the price.. they quoted half the price @$1570.00 (I was so excited) then to find out once you pass the 72 hour mark - when the deposit is non refundable.

    The phone call from Scott when he calls to confirm your move and your items, the price all of sudden has changed.. as well as their attitude. They are rude.. all the way around. front Scott then April with customer service {she’s in the wrong field) as well as her manager.. April literally stated.. how Do you knit it was them.. well April, pretty simple.. your company and your horrible movers were the only people who had access to my personal belongings.. that’s how. She is rude and insensitive.. . so rude.

    Also, don’t expect swift results from them.., the movers rescheduled the pickup that was scheduled on a Sunday, they decided to pickup at their own leisure and pickup on a Tuesday.. then only to wait another 8 days with no communication regarding your personal items, then to discover you’ve been violated.

    Here’s the kicker.. trust me when you read this.. they stole so much of my personal belongings.. my boxes that were delivered were rifled through.. re-taped with their brown tape.. then to discover that you have been robbed and half your boxes with your belongings in them are gone.. I am missing so many boxes. They are disgusting.. I have had to file a claim with my personal bank.. I also had to file a police report.. and I will be calling the BBB as well as the FMSCA for theft. I have never been so violated or felt so vulnerable like I have with this fraudulent family owned company.. I trusted them to move my life, and again, they stole irreplaceable and sentimental items that are priceless.. just a little example of what they stole.. 20 bottles of limited wines, 3 jewelry boxes with all of the jewelry in them (wedding ring over 3.5 carats) anniversary ring (rubies and diamonds) .. and this is just a few things they thought were theirs and took them.

    I am not one to write negative reviews however, they are horrible people, they should not be business.. and I wanted everyone to be informed.

    DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY!!

  3. Made so many promises over the phone that were false.

    I was never told that my move was being subcontracted.

    I was told I would be charged by weight not so.

    The total was $2k over the "estimate"

    Customer service was apathetic, at best.

  4. Do not use this company!

    I agreed to pay $1570 to move two armoires, a desk with hutch, refrigerator, dresser, and 10 boxes of clothes, etc. When the truck got here they told me they were going to have to charge more than original quote--because I had four extra boxes. I explained that I was NOT taking the desk and hutch, and that should more than compensate for the four boxes. Then, even though I managed to fit everything into ten boxes, they still insisted on raising me from 300 cu/ft to 450. I refused to pay the extra money, so they left. I measured everything--total of 221 cu/ft. Even with the desk would have been less than the agreed to 300 cu/ft. They are refusing to refund the $570 deposit. (I found someone else to do it for $1200).

  5. Worst moving experience.

    This was a horrific experience. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to have the contents of a 10x10 packed storage unit from New Mexico to Pennsylvania. We explained to the quoting agent that the unit was packed full in a 10x10 Uhaul storage unit. The pickup window was 3-5pm. At 4:45 we had not heard anything so much husband contacted the dispatch department for an updated ETA. While he was on the phone they called my cell with a 5 minute warning. We were told we’d have a 30 minute window to get to the storage unit. The two gentlemen stepped out of the truck and requested to look at the contents of our unit prior to loading. One of the guys told us he was going to have to charge us an additional $1,500 to move the contents of the unit because despite the contract saying our items included a full 10x10 storage unit, the reservation only had the square footage for half. I attempted to call back the number to the agent I made the reservation with. There was no response. We called the dispatch line again and were connected to an extremely rude woman. Our contract had a binding to not exceed agreement that was violated by the company. They refused to honor their price after I put down a $1,100 deposit. I wouldn’t recommend the services to my worst enemy. I suggested that the company have some training in the area of quoting storage units. That was not taken too kindly. I let the woman know that due to their inability to follow through on the contract agreement I would be taking steps to get my deposit back. She laughed and said they have a really good finance department and could assure me that I wouldn’t get any of that back. I let her know I’d be reaching out to the better business bureau.

    Horrible service. Inaccurate quotes. Unethical business practices.

  6. Outstanding!!

    I was able to secure my move dates with American Standard Moving & Storage as well as my price by making my reservation over one month prior to moving. They were super nice to me. I was able to reach my sales rep any time of the day every day. I was totally relaxed by the work of American Standard Moving & Storage . I am going to recommend them to all.

  7. They are best movers!!

    I asked American Standard Moving & Storage Company to find someone who can transport my house utensils to my parents’ house in another state. They found a carrier, arranged everything. The most important thing was, they always were in contact with me, provided me with all the information regarding my move. I am so happy with the move.

    The American Standard Moving & Storage showed up on time, worked quickly and expeditiously, very friendly, and also the list goes on and on. The fellows had a good sense of humor that made the move fun. How many individuals will say their move was fun! They put up with my various calls and emails confirming the move date. Would undoubtedly work with them again.

  9. They will make your life a living hell.

    AMERICAN STANDARD TAKES A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR TOTAL PAYMENT FOR LEAVING YOU IN THE HANDS OF THE CRAPPY MOVING COMPANIES THAT THEY WORK WITH. AND THAT'S ABSOLUTELY ALL THEY DO:

    American standard is a fraud company, and its business model is based on:

    1- convincing the customer verbally to trust them, so they lie and lie on the phone, about your price, about delivery dates, about the service you receive. They do everything to make sure you trust them. This step will get you to sign a contract with them that you most likely never read.

    In this step, they pretend that they are giving you an actual estimate, so ask you how many BOXES you move and base their estimation upon that. But think about it, the "number of boxes" cannot be a measure. Because anything from a small shipping box to an enormous appliance bix qualifies as a "BOX" here.

    They only pretend they are giving you an estimate here, while, in fact, they have nothing to do with the pricing. American Standard only wants you to believe that they are a part of your moving. In reality, they have a list of crappy movers, they refer you to them, the movers do everything and then finally give a percentage to American Standard.

    2- They have a collection of movers they work with, and they will leave you to them. If you are lucky, you may find yourself in the hands of a decent company (if they ever work with a decent company). But most likely, you are stuck with a collection of crappy movers (I'll explain why I use the word "collection" here) that you would never do business with.

    IF YOU ARE READING THIS, it means you care about the ratings and reviews of the company you hire. So why would you hire this company only to assign you to horrible movers that you do not know randomly?! Just think about it, you obviously care that you are reading this review. Now, you know, by hiring American Standard, you are actually leaving yourself in their hands to pick some of their random crappy movers for you. Save yourself.

    3- American Standard may use its network of movers to optimize its benefits. Meaning they are working with a lot of movers, and your property will be dropped off and picked up by multiple movers in a given time frame to get to you. It could have been an option if their pricing was accurate or competitive. You will end up paying more than paying to a single moving company, your property will be heavily damaged and lost because so many movers pick up and drop them off, you will not have a single point of contact, and in the end, you are not able to hold anyone accountable because there are way too many of them.

    American Standard covers all these facts, only to get you to sign their contract.

    We have had the most horrible experience in hiring this immoral company:

    -We have lost so much. After months of recording and filing claims, we are offered $76, and only if we waive all our rights and future claims. The damage exceeds $2000.

    We also lost so much of our properties because we gave them away. American Standard in their initial evaluation makes it look like it is the volume that matters, not the weight! So we got rid of all our bulky things, not knowing they do not care about the size, they only care about their weight!

    -We paid them a total of $5,616.00 (all with hard evidence), while the final value in the bill of lading is only $4,614.91. It is a $1,001.09 difference that they refused to pay back.

    They received: -$1,175 check on 4/17/19 -$750 check on 7/29/19 -$1,719.50 check on 7/31/19 -$1000 USPS money order 0n 8/30/19

    -$791.50 USPS money order on 8/30/19 and -$180 check on 8/30/19, all with evidence and receipts

    The bill of lading, which shows the total we should have paid them, shows $4,614.91

    They denied us the money back, they are giving us hard-time for the money, this money is stolen and does not belong to them.

    They are probably going to respond to this post by saying things like: They are not an auto-moving company, or all the customer's requests were handled professionally and promptly, and so on. Trust me, they won't hesitate to turn the truth on its head to stay in business.

    I do not know who you are, but I am sure you deserve better than these people. If you are filing a lawsuit against them, you can count me in. If you can find me, I will be more than happy to spend more time talking to you on the phone to convince you that you should not hire them.

    I have wasted at least 50-60 hours of my time on these guys so far. I am just hoping that at least, these last few hours I am spending to write this review can help some of you, not to go through the same nightmare as we did.

    Just imagine what they did to us that I put myself into so much trouble to spend so many hours of my time writing them a negative review.

  10. I would use them again!!

    We could not have been happier with our experience with American Standard Moving & Storage. The movers were absolutely fantastic and worked hard and fast. They were professional, friendly and easy to get along with. We are really glad we hired them. We had very happy times with them and we are really satisfied with the work methods and delivery of our things.

  11. Don’t expect customer service/compensation.

    I will never use movers this way again after my first and last experience with American standard. If you look over the past month they would have at least five emails and 40 missed calls from me trying to get through to customer service. You can always reach the sales team though!

    They said the price was by weight and that the last trip would likely be lower than expected. I wouldn’t have been thrown off over or under but the final cost was a flat even 1300.. when I asked for some proof of scale weight they said the couldn’t give it to me.

    My favorite recliner now has a large cigarette burn in the arm that was conveniently covered with a red item number sticker.

    Two items broken

    I stereo stolen

    8 items badly scratch or damaged because the were not wrapped properly during the “full service move.”

  12. I would use them again!

    I had a very good experience with American Standard Moving & Storage. They arrived at exactly the time they said they would, charged exactly what they told me when they told me, and everyone I spoke was professional, courteous, and warm. I felt very cared for as a customer. Overall, I would certainly recommend them.

  13. Rude bait and switchers.

    They never showed up, and when I called they finally came 3 hours later. Immediately asked for $500 more, and because I had to get out, I finally had to agree to pay. Then they quit mid-move and refused to give me back my $495 deposit. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

  14. Long Distance Move.

    This company is HORRIBLE DO NOT USE!! I spoke with an individual named Vince who was extremely accommodating while he was trying to get my business but when I ran into some problems(i.e. the price that he quoted me was less then what I was required to pay) and I tried to call to speak to him about it, he NEVER returned my call. I guess he was like we have your money now so there is no need for me to speak to you. I would be extremely disappointed if I owned this company and knew that this was the type of customer service that was being exhibited by my employees. Prior to me realizing what a fraud this company was, I referred them to a friend of mine who they also tried to scam. Even if you list out everything that you plan on moving, be prepared for the movers to tell you that have exceeded the amount of space that the company reserved for you. I gave Vince a list of everything that needed to be moved short of an extra mattress and he quoted me a price. I don't live in the city where I was moving things from so I had to fly into town. The movers get there and quote me a price over what I was told because they said I had gone over the amount of space that the company told them I needed for my move. I STILL HAD 16 BOXES THAT NEEDED TO BE MOVED. AS A RESULT, I HAVE TO GO BACK AND TRY TO GET THESE BOXES MOVED. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I USED THEM. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

  15. Scam artist.

    The people who left 5 Star reviews have to be family members or employees. Never showed up on the day that they were supposed to. Terrible customer service! Also the sales people will tell you anything to get a deal. Even though it was their fault that they didn't show up on the day that they were supposed to they refuse to give me back my $1,500 deposit.
