1. Makes me NEVER want to move again!

   Seriously, any positive review you read out there is written by the company themselves. This company is run by scam artists. I can't give too much information about my move because they do threaten to sue you if you give them a bad rap. They deserve to be shut down. If you want to spare yourselves (and your stuff) RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY FAR!! I was about to take this company to court but I really want to get this whole experiene out of my mind and focus on what is important in my life. I'm actually terrified to ever move again because of Big Boys. The quote you get MAY be the cheapest, but it will certainly NOT be what you will pay at the end. Double it. Triple it. Then you'll get a clearer picture to what you'll actually be paying. And to top it off they WILL damage your furniture and possibly break things in your boxes. The movers are NOT professionals. The sales team are LIARS. Customer Service is run by a psycho maniac robot (you must email them only and they don't give out a name of who you are speaking with). So just spare yourself some pain and chose a more reputable company!!

2. Big Boys provided excellent services.

   Pay close attention to POSITIVE REVIEWS. I am in a supervisor in a quality assurance based industry for a very large national corporation. Too many people post reviews when they are having a bad day and never when they get great service. This is why I want to be loud and clear with my factual review and wanted to immediately share my wonderful experience that I had with this Big Boys Moving Company and my movers on this day. I recently used Big Boys Moving & Storage for a local Tampa Bay move. I was very pleased and overly impressed with the efficiency and effectiveness exhibited that day by both the movers and the company management. I did not at any point in time think to myself they were not moving fast enough, or 'get off your phone' or 'what are you doing' – all of the things one would be concerned about when using a new company. They evaluated my move and told me what I could expect financially. As soon as that was done I witnessed them very quickly put together an action plan to execute, versus just winging it as they went along which would take more time, costing me more money. They organized exactly how they would perform this move to get it done as fast as possible both safely (for them and my possessions) and in a timely fashion. They were courteous, polite, and mindful of the surroundings. They never used vulgar language or discussed inappropriate topics in my presence. They helped make what was already a tiresome event into a pleasant transition. I definitely recommend this compa.

3. Did not complete move as agreed to.

   HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - NEVER USE THIS COMPANY Details of items to be moved from 4 bdrm. house to 3 bdrm apt. on 2nd floor given to JOHN.  Specifically requested 26' truck, he advied two men was adequate. Quoted $99 per hr. $59 truck fee NO hidden charges.  Full hourly charge for partial hours.  Inquired re licensing and movers - stated did NOT WANT movers who were not employed by this company full time, no temp. help or sub-contracted movers. JOHN assured me they have their own drivers and trucks.  Movers arrived on time, driving a 24' truck, after walk through house was advised it was going to take SEVERAL trips..contract was reviewed by one mover, quoted price was in order EXCEPT he included a 10% gratituty charge which I questioned.  Answer was, "this part of their salary and without it they could not work for the company as regular pay was not adequate".  Later SUSAN in office refuted statement and said gratituty was "OPTIONAL".  Moving began at 7:37 am and was terminated at 8:42 pm. Movers chose to load boxes and misc. items first leaving furniture to last.   On second trip while unloading at 3:30 pm I questioned  "how much longer this was going to take since I still had furniture that was needed to be put together, beds assembled and time was running out"  SUSAN at the office was contacted re situation, she called movers and was told they had approx. 40 more min. to unload before returning for furniture. I objected because that meant they would not be through until 8:30 or later, I had two children who needed to be in bed by then, had no beds for them or the adults to sleep on yet. According to driver of truck, SUSAN told them to STOP unloading, return to house and get items I had "requested", little to my knowing this conversation.  Returning, with the truck half full, there was not room for ALL remaining items  WHICH HAD TO BE LEFT AT THE HOUSE.  SUSAN and I have several heated discussions re completion of the move after which she advised full payment was necessary BEFORE ANY UNLOADING WOULD TAKE PLACE she said the contract stipulated to this action and I advised that the contract also was for a COMPLETE move which had not occurred.   I ask what she planned to arrange for the remainder items left at the house to which she stated " she would try to send another crew the next day to finish". Obviously I had had enough of BIG BOYS MOVING. I was left with the responsibility of finding friends and renting a truck to complete the move, financially I could not afford another mover. 
   Additionally, the few pieces of furniture they did move was left sitting in my living room, still wrapped in black plastic, no bed frames made it to the apartment, none of the furniture was assembled and even parts needed to assemble was left at the house we moved out of. This company is a complete scam and should not be allowed to continue misrepresenting themselves to the consumer. Never, never ever hire them for your move. I am contacting each and every agency available to expose their practices and wish them nothing but anguish and lost customers. Stay away at all cost.    .

   These BIG BOYS are THE BEST MOVING COMPANY that you will find in Tampa Bay! From price to professionalism you surely will be happy.
   They moved me a little over a year ago and I just moved again getting the exact same result. These BIG movers arrived with a BIG truck and after the move was done I got the same BIG savings as I did A YEAR AGO!
   
   I always refer and tell everybody about them and all of the people in my office use them.
   
   I read some of the recent bad reviews and there’s NO WAY that the bad stuff these posters are saying can be true because THE BIG BOYS ROCK. Night and day differences!

5. Entire experience.

   This company is a scam! They "gave" me a flat rate of $1039 with no hidden fees on the telephone. I paid a $500 deposit to "hold" the day for the move. The movers were late. The truck they showed up in did not even say Big Boy Movers, it said Move Doctors. They did not come to my home to do an inventory and ended up sending a truck that was too small. It took the movers 6 hours to load up only half of my belongings. We had to rent and load an additional 20 foot uhaul. The movers arrived and even before opening the back door to the truck, presented me with another contract that miraculously said it would only take them 3 hours to finish the project. To my amazement, they were finished in 3 hours!! The movers were usually illegal drugs on my property and stealing my food. Their "boss" was extremely unprofessional and threatened to take my stuff. I had to threaten to call the police and was forced into signing another contract. My bill was over by $500 and that did not include the tip or the uhaul. I was quoted by other moving companies for much less than what this company ended up charging me. The movers informed me that their boss does this all the time to people. This is how he runs his company. RUN!!
