  1. The Worst Company Movers.

  2. Never go With These Guys!!

One of the worst moves!! previously I moved from VA to WI and WI to GA. But this time I choose these guys for my move from GA to CA, which is the worst thing I did. Let me explain my experience. 1. Quote they provided is pretty low where I thought I am getting good deal. But ended up 3 times the quote, which is higher than any other quote I received. They will give you actual quote once loading is done!! if you don't want to proceed with that quote, you need to pay for loading and unloading. Their calculation is based on [EDIT] cubic feet and it will always end up at your surprise.   2. My house is on the road where any vehicle can come, still they came in small truck and said they can't bring their 18 wheeler there. (To charge extra money for that)   3. They arrived to CA after ONE MONTH!! I am not exaggerating .. Exactly after one month. And they don't even inform me about the delay, I called them almost 20 times to know the status but no one is aware of the status.   Not yet complete ..   4. Most of the items (which are in cardboard boxes) are ripped off. Even I marked them as FRAGILE they are ripped off and almost half of the items in the box were broken.    Not only that,   5. I missed couple of items .. If I call them no one is responding.    DON'T GO WITH THESE GUYS AT ALL!!  If you call to book them they will talk very nice and say this the best service for best rate you will ever get. that is until you pay the advance. once you pay the advance, THATS IT!! you are in worst hands.

  3. Not bad for the price.

I am going to be 100% honest here.  First let me say that when dealing with interstate movers you have to be EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE!  I was moving my college student daughter back home from Georgia to Maryland.  I went online to a moving site and dozens of companies contacted me with Regions being the first.  I was moving a sofa, a bedroom set with headboard and footboard, a chest of drawers and 10 boxes.  I was given a quote of $1026.  Other companies were anywhere from $2225 to $3700. I went with Regions and gave my downpayment of $300 with the understanding that $300 would be due on pick-up and $426 due on delivery.  Regions was to pick up my stuff between 7/4 and 7/6.  We all agreed that no one was working on 7/4 so we were looking at 7/5-7/6.  I got a call , from the driver, Benny, on the evening of 7/6 saying he would be there at 10 am on 7/7.  I told him, "Nope"!  My daughter had been waiting all weekend and was not going to take off work on Monday.  I told him to be there at 5pm on 7/7 and he agreed without hesitation.  He got there promptly at 4:45pm and began to load the truck.  I got a call from my daughter at 5:30pm saying that $1326 would be due on delivery because the boxes were too big and the chest of drawers was larger than expected!  Now keep in mind that we're not talking about an armoir, just a four drawer chest!  So I told Benny, "Never mind.  Take everything off the truck and we would go elsewhere".  Again, without hesitation, Benny figured out a way to load the largest boxes and keep the price to the quoted amount.  He also told me at that time that he would be at my house in Maryland on 7/8.  I told him to come at 7:00pm as I had to work.  He was fine with that. At 2:00 pm on 7/8, Benny called to say that he would be at my house at about 11pm!  I told him that there was no way that I was going to accept a delivery that late at night!  I asked him to come in the morning and he cheerfully agreed.  He called me this morning, 7/9 and said he would be here at 10:00 am.  He arrived promptly, and professionally set up my daughter's bedroom and took the remaining items to the basement.  All with a smile on his face!  Benny and Louie were extremely profeesional and I would highly recommend Regions to anyone who needs long distance moving.  As I said originally, you have to be extremely flexible!  I was told that my items would be here in 1-10 days and I was in no rush because she had a bed to sleep on already here and I told her to bring her absolutely necessary items in her car.  As long as you orchestrate the move and stand firm on sticking to the quote, it will be a pain-free experience!

  4. Stay away from Regions Van Lines !

These people are lying, scheming, fraudulent crooks. I entered into an agreement with them to move a small number of my items from Florida to Texas.  They had all of the weights and dimensions of my stuff down to the ounces and the inches before they picked it up. They picked up my items, and after they had it in their possession, tod me that the move would cost 250% more than the written, agreed to contract price.  Before  I entered into the contract, I explicity re-iterated several times that the agreed to contract price would be the full and total price and that there would be no "surprises" later on.  I was repeatedely told by "Regions Van Lines" that this was correct.  It wasn't until after they had my stuff that they told me about additional mileage charges, fuel surcharges, extra packing charges, etc. At that point, I told them to forget it and that this contract was null and void because they were in violation of the terms. They assumed that I would simply fold and pay them the money they wanted to extort from me because they had my good and, basically, this became a ransom situation.  Instead, I told them that I would come to their storage facility to pick up my items.  I had to get the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs and the U.S. Department of Transportation (an officer of which actually went to visit these creeps) to tell them in no uncertain terms that they were to surrender my stuff to me immediately.  Once they had my stuff in their possession,  I realized that these people are greedy, lying, inconsiderate and devious.  Stay away from "Regions Van Lines" operating out of Florida!

  5. Damaged goods.

I found the staff helpful  and friendly  on the phone and when we were loading but they were inconsistent, negligent and unprofessional in their packing and movement of my load.  Many damaged boxes.  They pack and unpacked the load at least one more time in a warehouse.  An antique chair was damaged. It was unpacked and damage was noted but the broken pieces were not kept. Cost to repair was more than it should have been. Damage to chair  shown to us by flipping damaged part back and forth on it’s dowels.   Pictures were seen to be packed back to back and blanketed, but one group of three,  when unpacked, were  found to be  packed front to front and another put in between the two.  We thought the load would be packed consistently as we saw them do. They must have done it this way when we weren't looking. One portrait of the three experienced extensive damage.  Company wouldn't contact me about my concerns with the damages until we threatened arbitration. We went to arbitration  because the settlement was minimal and   in the end only got what we had insured the chair and picture for.  .

  6. They low quote you.

Worst experience ever! This company is a broker, which means they sell your contract to a moving company and totally forget about you. They make money based on the cf quoted. They always quote you very low, so when the moving company is ready to pick up your goods, you always end up paying more, because you are using more space on the truck. At this point there is nothing you can do. Even though I asked them for a few more cf for free ( which I got) they are not smart enough and they do not have the experience and knowledge to provide a realistic quote based on your furniture size.

I  was ok to pay a CF extra. but my gf and I ended up paying ~$2k used more from the original quote!! I immediately called Alexis to let her know that her quote was wrong and she needed to do something about it ( the inventory list was the same) and she told me that I needed to submit a claim through a another company ( this does not make sense at all). A few days later I called her again, and she was promised me that she was going to check with her supervisor, but she lied she never did, and from that point she ignored all my phone calls.
Stay away from this company at all costs!! once they get your initial payment they held hostage your furniture if you do not pay them.

Also, do not expect the best  customer service from the driver ( as I mentioned above, they already your contract to another company)  they are all a bunch of liars and they just give you the driver phone number so you can coordinate the delivery with him.
Unfortunately you are dealing with extremely cheap people/ companies and they do not care about your furniture, they just want to deliver your goods and move onto the next one.

I called the driver to schedule a delivery on weekends but the driver was very rude and a liar. He told me to call back the company as he had no idea when to deliver my furniture. A few days later I received a call from the driver, apologizing and begging to receive my furniture on a Friday. I told him that it was ok. but a couple of hours later he called me back with an attitude saying that we needed to deliver my furniture on Thursday or they will take it back to Miami. Once again I agreed, but later he called me again and told me that the delivery was happening on Wednesday and he was giving me a 24 hrs notice!. and that was my only option. At this point I was very upset and hands tied. Again I told him ok but he needed to be there by 6. He charged 30 dollars because I got there an hour late and I was paying hourly to his assistants. All BS! they get paid by the job not the hour.
Bottom line it was an awful experience and in top of that my furniture got damaged.. I am submitting a claim!

  7. Worst Experience Ever - Stay Away!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The reviews here that are remotely positive are completely misleading. I just hired Regions to complete a move from Miami to Atlanta. They quoted me a great price and so I went with it. Like the many other negative rewiewers on here.. I was stunned to find that my "all-in" cost according to the salesperson didn't include a lot of the "accessory charges" that go with the move. (Just a simple piece of advice.. don't tell your sales people to gve an "all-in" price that doesn't actually include everything. I spoke with this sales person 5 times and was assured every time that this was an 'all in" cost. Of course, I was charged additional money upon arrival of the movers. I called Alan, the Sales Supervisor to ask for reimbursement due to the blatantly misleading representations of his salesperson. Not only did Alan not grant the reimbursement, but he proceeded to tell me that the reason there are negative reviews on here is because people don't understand the moving business. We argued back and forth for about 20 minutes. I listened to his rambling about how his company is so much better than the others (even though Regions is all over "Ripoff REport" and is blasted on here with negative reviews from ACTUAL customers; not the positive reviews that Regions probably payed employees to post on here). Additionally, the movers were calling my mother (who had a sick mother in the hospital) for two days, telling my mom that they would be arriving within four hours. When I told Alan this, he responded that the movers needed to eat and sleep and that he was sorry about there mismanaging the delivery time (by about 36 hours). I will make it a point to tell all my friends and contacts about this horrible experience. I urge everyone else on here to do the same. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND EVEN WORSE MANAGEMENT. Proceed with caution, people! You get what you pay for! And this company will do whatever they can to mislead you and take advantage!

  8. Not trustworthy.

So for all of you about to move I have a suggestion. DO NOT USE REGIONS VAN LINES.

It started withan estimate that was $1,500 below the actual cost. There excuse was we had larger than average items. The guys that did the actual packing did an amazing job.

Next comes the "logistics" department. Its one guy and he is a tool. He has lead me to believe that he has 1 driver and that this guy all he has. Along with what seems to be 1 or 2 trucks. .. on Monday he said he would deliver on Thursday. On Thursday he said Saturday, and now it's time on Saturday he say the driver just decided to take tbe holiday. .. so Tuesday or Wednesday. Now I am not adept at the day off system but how does my Saturday effect his Monday off?

On top of it all he says he did me a favor and already had me loaded so I will be the first stop.. wtf how is that a favor?

I don't rant often and can understand some delays. But theses guys are horrible. And I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  9. Avoid Regions VanLines.

Only One Recomendation: AVOID here is why: 1. I had to Pay Extra fee if I pay using credit card. I was never informed about this while making estimates. I talked almost on everyday basis and I believe, its worth mentioning to me. I was not given time to go to bank and get cash. I was literally locked in the spot.   2. I asked at minimum of three to four times during conversations if I should get anything from my side like boxes etc. I was never told about bringing my own tapes. every time I asked, I was only mentioned about getting my own boxes and packing them.   3. I spoke about estimate based on looking at my items. I even sent you some photographs to get an fair estimate. I accept that I had few extra boxes. I also removed few itesm from my inventory and replaced them. how ever, my cubic sq feet came up to 400 at the end and I was charged a premium price for this extra 85 cubic feet. this was not mentioned to me either.   4. No One Picks up calls.

  10. Where Are my Drivers!!

Absolutely the WORST COMMUNICATION Ever!! Planned in advance for a move from MD to NC. Packed up my daughter to meet them in MD for the move giving them the 3 day window required. After calling them everyday and getting the run around finally at the end of day 3 I was told that they were a day behind schedule and they would call me the next morning to let me know what time they would be there. Day 4 - still no one. Finally got in touch with someone after call #20 to find out they are Another Day late and they would be there b/w 8-12 the next morning. And they were going to give me a $150 discount (as if that was a dent into what I'm out) I could not afford to stay in MD another day so I struggled finding someone to meet with them on Day 5. I'm in NC and here it is 3pm and STILL NO MOVERS AND NO COMMUNICATION WHAT SO EVER!! I spent at least $600 to make it to MD for this move and at the end of Day 5 NOTHING has been ACCOMPLISHED yet!! And did I mention that I did all of this with a 1 year old! At this point Region Van Lines needs to grant me a free move! And I NEED TO BE CONTACTED ÀSAP to move my things and to save the reputation of the company!!

  11. Highly Recommended!

Timely delivery, zero damage, and no overbilling and pinpoint accuracy makes Regions Van Lines better than any other moving companies. Recently I used them while moving to TN from FL. Their movers were so efficient that I did not even bother to monitor them. I really do not know how they managed to execute such a move so effortlessly. Highly Recommended!

  12. Must HIRE!

My friend told about Regions Van lines and suggested to call them. John at the office was very polite and not pushy, like the other movers. So, I decided to hire Regions Van Lines. On scheduled day Bernard showed up on time with his team and all the necessary tools and packing materials. They packed, moved and stored all my belongings exactly how I wanted. They followed the checklist and did everything accordingly. It was a very neat, smooth and stress free move. I was very happy with the way things were going. This is a very good company. Must HIRE!

  13. Great Moving Services.

Once you have handed over your project to Regions Van lines, you can take a sigh of relief since they are honest and dedicated movers and would do your job till you’re satisfied. They seemed well prepared and well planned every time they approached my job. I received great service from start to finish, from the office team to the moving team. A great moving service!

  14. Outstanding Job.

Outstanding movers- got job done as promised and on price. I used Regions Van Lines for my move from FL to OH last month. They were even able to store my stuff for a few days, before I could accept shipment. After, I changed upload day and they were fine with that also! Movers arrived to my new house on schedule time, and what was very important for me, there was the same crew who picked it up. Nothing was broken through the entire move. So nice and professional. I look forward to using this movers again in the future!
     .

  15. Good Job.

Awesome movers! I moved from FL to Washington DC with my family and we had a great experience with Regions Van Lines. Bernard and his crew were very professional and polite. They warped all my goods. They delivered on time and helped to organized everything in my new place. I’m very satisfied with their services. I will recommend Regions Van Lines to all my friends and family!
