  1. Worst Moving Encounter Ever !

This company did a great job selling this move. Then it all went down hill from there. We were assured by the sales lady and driver the items would be delivered in a 3-5 day window. Never received a call back from customer service. The estimate was almost $1000.00 more, which would been worth it if items came on time. Once we were able to contact the driver, he blamed it all on the company he works for, kept him running picking up other loads, while putting us off. The driver had nothing positive to say about the company he works for! In a nutshell, once they have your money and goods, you are at there mercy. God help you. This was the worst moving experience ever!

  2. Thank you Regions Van Lines!

We hired Regions Van Lines to move us from FL to TN in last March. This review is long overdue. The folks at Regions Van Lines were absolutely fantastic the entire time. We had to change our move date at the last minute due to a delay on our home closing, and they couldn't have been more understanding. The day we finally began the move, the guys showed up at 8am sharp as promised and got right to work. They were very careful with our furniture and took time to explain their plan for the day. We did most of the packing ourselves but they did help us pack a couple of large mirrors and did a great job (no damages!) Thank you Regions Van Lines!

  3. They Cancelled Last Minute.

I am currently in the process of moving from Syracuse, New York to San Antonio, Texas for work. My fiance just finished medical school in Syracuse and moved to Baltimore. Over a month ago, my fiance sat down and tried to find a reliable mover to ship our belongings to both Baltimore, Maryland and San Antonio, Texas. She found Regions Van Lines on the internet. Speaking to John Rose, the salesman, the company seem to be honest, reliable and with reasonable prices. Since we were both looking to move a significant distance, John gave us a very reasonable price. We filled out the paperwork, including a binding agreement and thought we were all set. However, the day before the movers were supposed to come pick up my fiance's belongings, she received a call telling her they would not be making it. They said their truck broke down and they would not be in Syracuse in time. My fiance was working on a very tight schedule and could not wait a few days. They let her out of the contract without any charges, but she ended up paying a significantly higher price to book movers last minute. Seeing this I was clearly alarmed. I talked to Mr. Rose about the situation, explained that I was somewhat more flexible with my dates but I needed assurance that they would not cancel on me last minute. He promised that occasionally trucks get delayed but it would be at most a few days. I told him I could wait a few days, but a few weeks would be too long. He assured me again that it might be at most a matter of days, not weeks. Today (Thursday) I received a call from Tom Edwards, the dispatcher. He was supposed to call me earlier this week, as my pick up was scheduled for between Friday and Sunday. He tells me "I have some bad news, we can't help you move." I asked for an explanation, and immediately he became defensive, argumentative and used an aggressive tone. He said a truck broke down. He also told me they didn't charge my credit card yet so they don't owe me anything. They did not leave me any alternatives. So I am essentially stranded. Every other mover is booked for weeks. I should have listened to my gut and cancelled my reservation when they failed to fulfill their responsibility to my fiance. Do yourself a favor and do not use this service. There are more reliable movers out there. Further, they are dishonest and rude. They are unapologetic. And they will leave you high and dry if they do not feel it is worth their while to make the trip.

  4. Regions Van Lines did a Great Job!

If you are looking to move in the future, I highly recommendRegions Van Lines. In addition, here are some words of advice: make sure you are very obvious about your needs. Make sure the quote you receive is in writing, understandable and detailed. I got a quote that was binding and guarantied, however, I will say that if your estimated quote is off (ours was by about 7 large boxes and a few furniture) it will obviously cost you more. At no point did I feel like I was being taken advantage of because the price from the estimate to what I paid at the end changed because we decided to take more items then initial planed. Ultimately I am very happy with all aspects of the move and will certainly be usingRegions Van Lines again. Also, a special thanks to John for constantly keeping us posted as to the whereabouts of our delivery at all times, which was a huge relive.

  5. I will defiantly recommend Regions Van Lines!

Regions Van Lines assisted me with my move last month and did a great job. Vicky at the office was very polite and defiantly knew her job. She send me the estimate cost of my move and it was the same amount at the end. The movers arrived on time for the pickup and were very kind and professional. I will defiantly recommend Regions Van Lines to all my friend and family!  .

  6. Horrible Experience.

The following is the complaint submitted to BBB by us. CASE ID: 90200425 on April 22, 2013.                                           What can you call a company that doesn't tell you the payment can only be made in cash at the time of delivery of items and refuse to take the boxes inside the home before the cash is paid. Like we mentioned in our earlier complaint, their representative came to our place in West Palm Beach, went through every room and took stock of all items that were getting moved and gave us a binding quote for $7660.60. We agreed to this binding quote. There was no increase or change in the items, and if at all there was any; we had discarded a lot of stuff after cleaning. There was absolutely no additional requirement, none so ever. but they charged us way more than the actual quote. The movers kept calling us over a period of one month since they visited the first time. We were not ready to move from Florida till August 17th and they gave us dates of August 22nd and 23rd for packing and moving. The movers came between 10.00 and 10.30 on the morning of August 22nd. The movers and I made calls to the Regions office once again confirming it's a binding contract before even they starting the packing. There were three packers. One middle aged man, a young boy and his father, who did not speak English, and a supervisor Bernard. The supervisor said, he had just moved from another company and had a lot of experience. To summarize, the supervisor was the one who asked me to buy the 16 boxes, which I purchased from the nearby Home Depot in Palm Beach though these boxes were included in the original quote. Ultimately these boxes were not loaded. They carried even lesser than what the binding quote stated. Also by afternoon, the supervisor was not seen around much and when I went looking for him, he was lying down in one of my rooms. When questioned he said, he was not well because he thought he had Food Poisoning. I had to give him some medicine and serve him tea from time to time. This was shocking and traumatizing. This happened frequently during the entire day. He was lying down in the garage and other places around the house. Instead of doing his job or calling for a substitute from his company, he was absolutely irresponsible. With the supervisor not in command, the movers were directionless and they didn't even name the boxes. The supervisor who was resting all along suddenly said that he is finishing the work the same day instead of coming the next day. He said there is not much to pack and they don't need to come again. How can the company outrageously lie about more work and boxes when their own supervisor finished 2 days of work in 1 day? I was still insisting they come the next day to name the boxes properly before loading, but the supervisor said he has other work the next day. They did not complete the job by evening. They ended up working later than 9pm. They were tired and sleepy without proper food. I was exhausted too. Absolutely they forgot to pack a lot of things from my master bath, the powder room, and garage, which I ultimately gave away to my neighbors. They had brought a truck which was just a little bigger than a U-haul. When I enquired about that, they said it was more than sufficient for our move. We had moved many times and we had not seen such a small truck for so much stuff, that too moving out of state. It was late night by the time they loaded all the stuff. In the process they disturbed the whole neighborhood by working late. Boxes were not numbered and named but he had check marked the whole list and gave me copy. When he asked me to sign their form for payment I refused to sign and told them I cannot cross check all the boxes since he had already loaded without my knowledge. He said that since everything is loaded he cannot help me anymore. They left around at 10:30 PM. My neighbor, also my good friend who was with me throughout the whole ordeal was stunned and she helped me pack the left over items and load the boxes into my car. Too bad this company  claims to have done everything right on their part.

Also, now like other customers, we were charged extra than the actual quote. There were missing items and some of  the leather furniture had to be thrown away since they must not have been protected in a proper temprature. You can see a pattern in their poor service.  .

  7. Super professional!

I had my third move with Regions van lines and they did an amazing job once again! They were on time, great guys that moved me very nice a friendly .The guys are always quick, they know their job and do it well. Nothing was broken. They placed everything in my new home nicely and that is great for me because I have very heavy furniture, they go the extra mile for you. I feel lucky I found Regions van lines they have great customer services! There are a lot of shady moving companies out there, but you will never have to worry about that with Regions van lines, super professional!

  8. Rigions van Lines make moving as pleasant as possible.

Best Movers Ever! I just completed my second move with Regions van Lines and they are a pleasure to work with. Everyone I interacted with was polite, efficient and great to work with. The cost was really reasonable and nothing was broken or lost, which is always a treat! I will recommend Regions van Lines to anyone I know who is moving. They make moving as pleasant as possible. Thank You!

  9. Regions van lines, miami, fl.

I was expecting trouble and I got it.  damaged furniture, I.e., crushed computer desk, three broken lamps, broken leg on bureau, wet towels and clothes inside the boxes, etc. What more has to be written?      Alan, the sales person and I had a good relationship but it didn't pay off for good service.  I would not ever recommend this company.

  10. Stay away.

This is the worst experience in a moving company that I had!! I have moved several times over the years and never have I experienced such poor customer service or a bill that is nearly four times the amount. I was quoted $2400 and now my final bill is $9071. There are non-negotiable and they are withholding all my belongings until they are paid. And they try to say that cubic feet is the only measurement they use.

  11. CANCELLED contract-Charge Card Dispute.

I informed REGIONS VAN LINES I wanted to PAY by check but gave Mastercard number over phone to place the order. AFTER dealing with repeated calls from REGIONS wanting me to FAX my MC NUMBER I realized the reason WHY regions Van Lines do not take AMERICAN EXPRESS or DISCOVER-they have had too many complaints against them! I cancelled the contract on Friday night for the move scheduled for Monday UNLESS Regions would take full payment of $945.00 in a CHECK. But, REGIONS charged my MC and now the charge is in dispute.

  12. Worst Movers ever!

When moving from Florida to Arizona we mistakenly went with a phone quote versus onsite with Regions.  Also we were given a quote in cubic feet vs weight.  At 10 pm after loading half the truck Regions raised our quote from $3600 to $5400.  We felt stuck and after arguing for weeks, we called the AZ Weights and Measurement Board who attended the drop off and required movers to weigh our items before unload and after unload.  Apparently the cubic foot is the game the movers play to increase quote and that regulatory boards state by weight is only accurate way to give or receive an estimate.  The agent forced Regions to abide by original quote since the weight of our items were 14 lbs under original quote.  The governot ofArizona establisted a task force in the Arizona weights and measurements because of the outragous number of complaints of consumers being scanned by movers.  Our move was the truck drivers 2nd experience with AZ weights and measurments. I don't just blame Regions I blame myself for not doing better due diligence, just looking up complaints and better business bureau is not enough.  Know your rights and the reulalations required of the moving industry.  Never go with a phone quote, never go with a cubic foot quote, verify at pick up in writing no additional charges prior to loading.  If they will not do it, cancel and go with your back up mover.  Be prepared for disputes, know your rights and research if there is help out there for your disputes.  If you move to Arizona it is the Arizona weights and measurements.  Regions thank you for the valuable lesson, Moving Consumers please learn from my horrible experience.

  13. I'd think twice.

They came and did a VISUAL INSPECTION and gave me a "Total estimate quote" of $4266. Then when they came to pick up my items T. Cuacone, the foreman, told me that it would probably be more like $6000 and then when the van was packed I was in for $8220.85. A phone estimate I could understand the rise in price, but not a visual inspection. Then upon delivery. there were so many antiques broken and missing/stolen it wasn't imaginable. I've moved before and had things lost or broken but nothing to this extent. I'm missing 4 boxes and a Matisse that was not on the manifest. Most movers aren't the greatest, but Regions is the absolute worst.  .

  14. Regions Van Lines.

They tricked me into a site unseen estimate and I'm ashamed and only blame myself. They conned me out of $2400 (doubling the price of the original estimate), caused thousands of dollars of damage to my goods and property. They did not reurn calls during or after the move and refuse to talk about an amicable setlement. I have moved several times and Regions has been the unqualified worst experience. They lie about being a BBB Accredited business. They are not. In fact the BBB wil tell you there are over 30 complaints in the past 36 months against Regions. They really think the public is stupid thinking they can get away with such bald face misrepresentation. Use Regions at your own great risk.

  15. Liars/Thieves.

This has been the worst experience for my me and my husband. Danny, Michelle, Denise, Teddy(one of the movers) were all extremely unprofessional to start with. No one kept in contact with us to when our stuff would be arriving until last minute. We would call and leave messages, no return phone calls. After everything was loaded on the truck our quote went up $3,000!! We were so upset we didn't tip Teddy or his buddy. He probably was upset about that. All of our things were ransacked through when we got them in 11 days. We moved from Florida to Kansas. When I say ALL, I mean ALL of our rubbermaids and boxes were gone through. Nothing was in the original box, almost everything we packed was broken. There were numerous collector items of my husbands that were stolen. A LOT of my costume jewelry was stolen. Sean delivered our items with another worker and made all kinds of dents in our new apartment walls with the dollies. There were black marks all over our walls. Our mattress that was wrapped in plastic was all torn up. How does that happen? THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE GOT SCAMMED BY THEM! Do NOT use this company. Tell everyone. When they dropped our stuff off nothing was taken out of the box ie: our TV, nothing was reassembled!! This place is ridiculous and the people working for them should be very ashamed to work there for they are liars and thieves.  .
