  1. Regions Van Lines- Excellent Service!!

Dear Regions Van Lines, I would like to personally thank Michelle Amar Sales Manager and your company for the outstanding job you did handling my storage as well as my move. My mother recently had passed away from leukemia and going through her storage unit was very challenging for our family. Regions Van Lines was very accommodating to my immediate needs. I had to get into the storage unit to remove items for the memorial service on very short notice and they were very helpful. I have moved numerous times in the past and all moving companies are notorious for damaging my belongings. There was no damage to my goods that had been with Regions Van Lines for over 3 years. I would highly recommend your company and thank you again for your wonderful service!   Warmest Regards,   Prudence Zdravkovic.

  2. Very pleased with the total experience.

I called the company after doing a google search.  They offered me a visual estimate .  The price that I received was very reasonable for a full service move including packing.  Forman was very professional and explained everything to me in detail.  Was an overall pleasant experience.  Would recommend to friends and family for sure. .

  3. Worst Moving Company Ever.

This has been the worst moving company I ever had to experience.  It took three weeks to receive my items from Florida to Connecticut.  Most of my items were severly damaged, things were broken, dented, crushed, and chipped.  My refrigerator was left in New York with a complete stranger.  My Mirror for my dressers where lost and they never took the time and look for them.  My TV's where broken and when I wanted to make a claim, the paper stated that they do not cover damages to your things.  That is considered wear and tear.. I told my company not to use this company ever and also my family and friends.  WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER.. DO NOT USE THEM..

  4. Move.

Moved a 2 bedroom condo from Boyton Beach, FL to Belmont NC for $1,875.00 fixed price binding contract. Move was done on time and professionally. They included the packing materials and even threw in additional packing material the loaders felt was needed for free. They performed all the loading and unloading quickly and efficiently and nothing was damaged or broken. They were not the cheapest but lived up to their reviews. The only issue was a misunderstanding on my part with regard to the credit card authorization process for the additional charge when I upgraded from a non-binding to a binding contract. I misunderstood and thought they could just add the charges using the original authorization. They actually needed a second seperate authorization which is a good thing when you think about it. I would recommend their company to my friends and associates and would use their company in the future.

  5. Moving Experience with Regions Van Lines.

Great and reliable service, very good experience overall.

I'd certainly recommend Regions Van Lines to a friend. Our contact at the office (Michelle) and the team that came to my place were great.

There were no damaged or stolen items. Everything was in good condition on arrival.

I found them online and thought they would be a good choice for my move, and I can tell I made the right decision.

They had to make one quick stop before getting to my apartment (to drop off a few items per my request) I was concerned about the time allocated for my move due to the times reserved for the elevators, but everything worked out perfectly.

  6. Professional service from reputable company.

Smooth professional move.. guys that showed up were great. They did and amazing job wrapping and the delivery was done with in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely would use again. The movers helped me pack some of my glasswareand china. They also packed up my TV and wendy gave me mattress covers for free. The dispatcher called me every few days with update of my shipment.

  7. Worst Moving Experience Ever.

I had to move from Orlando, FL to Littleton, CO 6 months before my girlfriend was able to. We decided to use movers to get all her stuff to CO.

We talked to a very nice sales person, Wendy Montilla, at Regions. She was great to deal with. Very nice and informative. We assumed that was a good sign. However, once we paid the original deposit all hell broke lose.

They came to pick up my girlfriends stuff in Orlando on-time (last good thing to happen). She let the two packers do there thing and tried not to bother them. Once they finished putting it all on the truck they informed her the bill was going from the original quote price of $1500 to $3000. They told her it took up double the room. Also included in this additional $1500 was $57 worth of tape. For those of you that don't know, $57 worth of tape is 15 rolls of tape.

She only had 1 bedroom to pack and move. She had packed all her own boxes. All the movers had to do was put some blankes on her 2 dressers, 2 nightstands, 1 mirror, 1 headboard, and 1 armoire, and we had already paid $100 for misc packing materials. I told Danny Goldman, Ops Mgr, that 15 rolls of tape was insanely excessive for those few items. He argued with me and told me that is what it was. He is terrible to deal with.

To top off the pickup the movers then asked for a tip. Seriously?! However, my girlfriend being the nice person she was she gave them one.

Ten or so days later I get a call telling me that her stuff has arrived in CO and is ready for drop off. They told me they would be there Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. They never made it Saturday. After they didn't make it on Saturday I asked them when they would be there on Sunday. They said 10am-6pm. Sunday came and that changed to 12pm-3pm. Then it changed again to 3pm-7pm. It changed a third time to 7pm-9pm.

At 8:45pm on Sunday I called the driver to ask where he was. He told me he could be there by 10pm. I said no way am I allowing you to deliver at 10pm on a Sunday. I told him I had wasted 2 days waiting on him and 10pm was unacceptable. I told him that he could deliver at 5pm on Monday after I got off work. He preceded to tell me he would be there at 10pm. I told him no one would be there to accept it and that 5pm on Monday is his only option. He then yelled at me and told me I was being difficult and that he would be there at 10pm. This went on for 10min until I finally lost it. I told him to call Danny (his boss) at Regions right then so we could discuss this issue with him. He told me he couldn't call Danny because it was too late. I said, "no sh*t it is too late pal it is 9:15pm on Sunday. Just because you have some of our stuff does not mean that you can do whatever you want! I will see you at 5pm tomorrow". I hung up.

He came at 5pm the next day. He was on time. He knew better than asking for a tip.

I have moved with Atlas Van Lines and Graebel before. They tend to be a little more expensive, but it is absolutely worth it. Never had a problem with either of them.

All I can tell you is DO NOT USE REGIONS!

  8. Do..not..use..regions Van Lines.

It took almost three weeks to receive my items and today they arrived a week after the promised delivery date. Most of my items were severely damaged, things were broken, dented, chipped, and crushed. Not some, but all of my boxes were open and the tape that was holding the boxes together was visibly torn and pulled off the boxes. Some items were missing and no-one can explain to me what happened to my things.

I swear I just wanted to stand there and cry, or scream, or something. This is the worst feeling in the world to feel betrayed by a company who seems to only be concerned about making money and to hell with the customers and what they go thru when things go wrong because of the miscommunication and mishandling of the customers things.

This company is the worst I've ever had to deal with. They lied to me about the delivery date and gave me several different dates and times for delivery. Danny g, the operations manager was very unprofessional and never called to keep me informed of the delivery of my items. The entire department over at rvl act as if they were not very knowledgeable dealing with customers and such. I had to call numerous times to get information about the status and delivery of my shipment.

When I first approached regions about shipping my things, I felt like the star of their show, after complaining about the 3 different delivery dates, having to take time off from work, they started avoiding my calls and ignoring my many messages I had left via vm. These people are rude, they shouldn't be in the business and I feel like I've been jerked around by every one there. I specifically asked if my things would be handled by any other carrier/sub-contractor and they assured me they wouldn't exchange hands with other companies. They lied to me.

One of the drivers hung the phone up on me when I simply asked if he was my driver and what time should I expect him to deliver my things. I have never been so insulted, then he powered his phone off as to where I couldn't call anymore that day or the next day. This company, (rvl) is a joke and had I known, I would have "Never" ever considered them to move my things across country. (from Miami, Fla. To northern California.

    Do not use this company.

Regions van lines is very dishonest, not trustworthy, they lie, and will not deliver as promised.

    You have been warned!
    Evelyn.

  9. Do Not Use! a Disaster.

Furniture picked up in Miami on Sept. 29 with delivery guaranteed (for an extra payment) in Los Angeles Oct. 7. Now I find they didn't even hand off the furniture to their cross-country carrier until Oct. 6! And I won't get my stuff until Oct. 15, at the earliest. And guess what, I had to ferret out the name of the company they handed off to and call the driver to learn that. Regions couldn't tell me.

Poor communication, poor management, poor service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

  10. Full Review: Many moves, Regions is the WORST.

I contacted RVL rep Anne G in May regarding an upcoming move from FL to SF that was to take place on June 29. I got a written estimate for at $6.39 per cubic foot. However, I was told that RVL would match the price of a competitor; I got a rate of $4.00 per cubic foot from another company and forwarded that to Anne. She said that RVL would not honor the price match because the other company was "not reputable". The second initial problem occurred b/c I had scheduled June 29th but on two separate occasions on which I contacted RVL, they had it scheduled for June 28th. The third problem was that on the moving day, after everything was tallied, the final price ended up at more than $3200, significantly more than double the estimated price.

I got to SF and called and emailed RVL on July 7 and requested shipment. The rep referred me to both Danny G, the Ops Mgr, and the delivery department, where I left emails/VM's Two days later I had not gotten one response. I called again, left VM's, left emails for both Anne and Danny, and again no response. I tried to call multiple times to speak to an actual person, but every time it automatically sent me to VM. Around 4 days after my initial communication, I spoke with a customer service person who informed me that RVL was moving offices and that she would personally see to it that my shipment would be scheduled and I would hear back asap- again, I got no response. At this point (7 days past initial communication) I was becoming infuriated and began to research legal options. I notified Anne and Danny of this and voila, I got a response from Anne immediately saying she would take care of it. First, moving offices should not hinder communications so severely that personnel cannot contact customers. Second, I spoke directly with people at RVL who promised to circumvent the supposed communications issues, to no avail. Lastly, it's pretty clear that communications were working just fine for someone to respond immediately to the potential for a legal issue - there's clearly a bigger underlying issue here.

I got the first response from Anne (yet still nothing from Danny) and told her July 15 given that I was out of town until then. She responded that July 15 is now the "start the clock" day after, per RVL's service agreement I should receive shipment within 14 days. I told her that this was unacceptable given that I was ready on July 7 and notified RVL.

July 20: 13 days since my initial attempts at scheduling delivery. It had been 5 days since the "start the clock". Yet I had heard nothing from customer service (despite leaving VM's and getting promises from multiple RVL personnel to speak with them), from management (despite an in-writing promise to contact me within 72 hrs of "start the clock", as well as many emails and VM's), and had zero communication regarding the status of my delivery. I went online and wrote negative reviews online about RVL, submitted an official complaint to the BBB, and sent a certified letter to RVL.

Customer service mgr Alan M immediately called asking why I had been so harsh against RVL without contacting customer service. I gave him the entire back story but he swore that he hadn't heard anything from anyone about my experience - shocking since 3 people said they notified customer service for me. Alan and I came to an agreement that I met: remove the negative reviews with the stipulation that I get on-time delivery (based on the 14 day delivery time frame promised from the July 15 "start the clock" date) and that RVL meet what I requested: match the price that they wouldn't due to claiming competitor was "non-reputable", and cover a few expenses that I had to incur out-of-pocket due to RVL not meeting delivery agreement terms.

At first Alan told me they were trying to make the July 29 delivery (14 days after "start the clock"). Then just before the 29th, Ops Mgr Danny G left a VM stating a delay until Aug 1-3. No acknowledgement of what I had been through. No apology. Exactly what I should expect given his atrocious performance for a company complaining to be so reputable. I got another call on Aug 2 from the driver, saying Aug 1-3 window would be impossible and expect Aug 4. The next day I got another call stating that Aug 4 would be impossible and expect Aug 5. Finally, on Aug 5, my goods were delivered but two items were significantly damaged.

I paid and notified Alan of the final state of things and told him that it was RVL's turn to meet their end of the bargain. Alan and RVL came back with proposed refund of 5% (I had asked for a roughly 50% refund based on the refused price match and incurred expenses total). How is 5% as a fair refund for the worst customer service I have ever received from a moving company and after refusing to price match another competitor, forcing me to spend hundreds out of pocket for expenses that I incurred as a result of RVL, and causing hundreds in damage to my shipment? NEVER USE REGIONS VAN LINES!!

  11. Do Not Use This Company!

We had an absolutely horrible moving experience with Regions Van Lines.

The first issue was the quote. Despite quoting us a very reasonable and competitive price, once all of our boxes were on the truck, we were told that it would be an additional $1500 over the original quoted price.

Second issue -- it took two full weeks to receive our belongings. We were called by the driver to schedule our delivery FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. In fact, we were told four different delivery dates. First it was Monday or Tuesday. Then we were told it was going to be Wednesday, then we were told it would be Thursday and finally we were told on Wednesday night, that it would be Friday. Although the delivery date is uncertain at the outset of the move, these were not estimates at the outset of the move, these were 4 separate dates that were set by the truck driver. We had to coordinate and re-coordinate our schedules each time. On top of this, from what we understand, our move continued to be pushed back in favor of easier moves, not in NYC.

Third issue -- a couple days before the delivery, we were told by the driver that we would have to pay an additional fee because he could not take the 18 wheel truck into New York city -- that there was an ordinance prohibiting him from doing this -- so we would have to pay for him to rent a U-Haul truck and transfer our belongings to the U-Haul truck in order to come into the city. We reviewed the regulations and in fact, this was a lie. While there are certain streets in NYC on which you cannot drive an 18-wheel truck, there is no "general prohibition" about driving 18-wheelers into the city. Nevertheless, the driver gave us a ridiculous amount of attitude about this and said that if he got a fine, we would have to pay it. Essentially, we were forced to pay this extra fee.

Finally, once the driver arrived with our belongings, he told us that the walk from the curb to our apartment door was considered a "long haul" and that we were required to pay an additional fee for anything over 75 feet from the curb -- and according to his calculations (which was really just his estimate) we had "three" additional 75 feets of distance from the curb to our apartment (which is completely inaccurate). We told him that we never agreed to pay this fee (directing him to our signature next to a statement that said that we had a $0 balance due upon arrival). But he refused to continue with our move and kept saying that he was "not doing our move for free." Of course, this made no sense -- as what were we paying all of this money to the company for?!! We called the driver's boss and his boss told us that he would have the driver dump our belongings on the curb and drive away, unless we agreed to pay this extra fee. Again, we were forced to pay yet another additional fee.

Whatever you do, DON'T USE REGIONS VAN LINES. They are dishonest and their drivers and transportation company are even worse. We ended up paying over $5,000 for this moving service, which is over $2,000 over the estimate.

  12. Disaster.

The other reviewer who talks about Danny Goldman at this company has hit the nail right on the head. My stuff arrived with water damage and every box marked fragile crushed. I have attempted to contact them just to find out what the hurdles are to file a claim, and I can't even get that information out of them. Once they have you they forget you. Everything is voice mail. When you do talk to someone they are very defensive - makes me wonder- but only after you have hired them. When you are negotiating the deal they always take your call and are very accomodating. So they really suck you in and then hang you out to dry. They don't even move your stuff, they sub it out to another company who delivered my stuff on 7/4 and took 8 hours to unload, when loading only took 4 hours. Jeez. They are always over scheduled and running late, be ready for all the calls from the field saying I'll be there, but it'll be two days before they actually show up.

  13. 7 moves in my life-Regions Van Lines is the worst.

I recently moved from Miami to San Francisco and used RVL based on the (mostly) good reviews that I found online. Similar to others, the price I eventually was asked to pay was 225% of the original estimate. In addition, they refused the price match that they originally offered because the other company was "not reputable". The customer service agent also originally scheduled the wrong moving date originally, but fortunately I called up to verify a week prior and got it fixed.

Once I got to SF, the real nightmare began. I called and emailed both customer service and the shipping department on July 7 to get my stuff shipped out. Two days later, no response. I called again and spoke to an agent who referred me to the manager, Danny Goldman who I both emailed and left a VM for (you are lucky if you ever can reach an actual person at RVL, they almost always ask to leave a VM). I also emailed and left a VM for shipping. Again, no response. I then called up again and on the 4th attempt reached an agent who told me that they were moving office, that communication was difficult, and that they she would personally handle it. First of all, what kind of moving company can't communicate with customers when they move? And second, another two days later I still had received no communication from RVL. I then spoke with a lawyer and let RVL know and voila, I got a response (but not from the manager, Danny Goldman, who is really a POS). At this point it was 9 days after I initially tried to contact RVL and they told me the 14 day contractual limit to deliver my items would start then, NOT on the original date that I contacted them. Clearly this is beyond [EDIT] and I contacted customer service department and have yet to receive a response. I was also promised (in writing) a 72 hr max response time after starting the 14 day contractual limit to give me an ETA. I contacted Danny, Anne, and the shipping department after 72 hrs and got no response. It has now been 100 hrs, and no response. I have filed my complaint with the BBB.

Don't EVER use Regions Van Lines.

  14. Best move ever.

I used Regions van lines for a local move with full packing. Not only were they experienced and professional but also a pleasure to work with. The move came in under the estimate..that's a first! The crew had a great rapport and worked well as a team. I have moved a lot and this was the best move ever.

  15. Thank you for stress free moving.

Regions Van Lines was truely professional and courteous. We moved from Miami to Tennessee and needed a long distance moving company who could handle the household goods of a family of 5. The moving foreman came in, checked out the situation, made a plan, began disassembling furniture that needed taken apart and made sure all of my family's belongings were protected properly. Once we finally arrived at our new home, the movers noted where we wanted everything to go. We didn't find boxes or household items placed in the wrong rooms. this made the unpacking process much easier for us. Nothing was broken. Everything was in perfect condition. I have moved before, but I must say that this was the least stressful move I have ever had. I recommend this moving company to anyone moving.
