  1. Cross Country Move

    We used UPack for our move from Oregon to Kentucky. Overall good experience.

    Pros: We didn’t have to drive a moving truck across the country. The price was great compared to other companies. Customer service was easy to work with.

    Cons: shipment was delayed and took 3 weeks to arrive. This was due to weather, so out of their control. My biggest complaint would be trying to get information on truck status. First, they were late dropping off the truck; no one called to tell me it would be late, and I had to call 3 different places to get an answer. I also had to call to get updates on truck status due to the weather delay.

    Otherwise, it was a good experience. I would use this company again.

  2. Super helpfull

    I had to change delivery location at the very last minute, the actual day of Delivery! Staff member Rita in Florida was SUPER helpful. She managed to contact driver and change locations, without an additional charge or any drama. Later she contacted driver for delivery time. She was able get it in very short order. Great customer service and super helpful.

    Containers picked up the day they were unloaded.! Easy process!

  3. Never Again!!!!!

    This is my first and last time using Upack! Horrible experience. I paid almost $1,500 for a two to four day delivery and it's day 10 now and I still don't have my things. Never a again!!!!! No discount offered or anything, just an "IM SORRY" Really?

  4. Reliability

    First, I contacted many other truck rentals. Prices were, what I though to be comparable.

    Calling U-Pack, I assumed I was getting pods for our belongings. Was very excited when finding out it was a 28 foot trailer and not a pod. When delivered, the driver had very little room to maneuver, but executed the trailer to perfection. We loaded it, they took it away. We had the trailer delivered to our property. All contents in perfect condition, due to our securing everything.

    For the price, it was extremely affordable.

    Each and every call I ever made to U-Pack, the person on the other end was courteous and very explanatory.

  5. Long distance move from Milford, CT to Piedmont, SC

    Great experience with UPack ! I reserved our 27 ft trailer online. I had to change the move date once ( done easily).

    I spoke with Michael from the Orange, CT office-he was so helpful and friendly. The trailer was dropped off exactly when promised , we hired professional movers to load it, and it was quickly picked up hours ahead of a snowstorm.

    A week later, I spoke with a friendly woman at the Duncan,SC depot and she also arranged for a quick dropoff to our new house.

    The driver was very helpful - he even set up the ramp for us. Everything arrived intact, nothing broken or wet. They are a very professional company, we already have two more family members booking them for their moves. They made our move stress-free . Thank you, UPack !!

  6. Moved Furniture from PR to MD

    For months and months I was looking for a moving company to deliver my furniture from Puerto Rico to Maryland. While looking at the reviews for Rosa Del Monte and Flor de Mayo Express, I grew an uneasy frustration after a couple of phone conversations with both companies. Eventually, I decided not to use them.

    I continued to search and found a company named ABF and decided to try them. They have a service called U-Pack.

    You pack and unload yourself, but in my opinion it’s even better because only you know the value of your stuff and how far you’r willing to go to protect it.

    It’s a matter of taking the time in advance to do the research on how to load and secure your cargo. They give you 3 days to load and 3 days to unload. They priced it by size of the container and not by weight of it.

    The Relo Cube was delivered to the original location the date I scheduled it. It was picked up at that location the day I requested. Left the port of San Juan the day they said it would and it even arrived at the final destination one day before it was expected, for a total of 16 days in transit.

    Let me just say; every step of the way has been an uncomplicated, easy to access via the web and a very flexible process. The customer service both in the states and in the Island were impeccable. I could not be happier with the outcome.

    I’m sharing my experiences in dealing with ABF in hopes this will assist others (“en la diaspora”) in choosing a freight company to move their valuable and beloved goods between the Island we all love and the main land USA.

    As painfully as it is to admit, when you acquire and/or receive services from companies or even the Government in PR the expectations are not to be of a high standard. So, I’m delighted to say I had received an excellent service and that I highly recommend ABF for any moving you would have to do from Puerto Rico to the states or within the U.S. states.

    In conclusion, I will definitely use ABF Freight System Transportation Company services again. We can only hope they will keep it up!

  7. Out of state move

    Easy and perfect timings. our experience was wonderful .

    They did everything they promised and on time, and we even got our container picked up same day we scheduled delivery.

    Overall good experience!

  8. Worst moving experience ever..

    We are moving out of state and timing was crucial because my husband starts work in 5 days and I will be staying behind until my transfer at the end of the month. We had to be moved in by Tuesday before he started work and so that I could return to the old state to continue work. When we reserved the Upack trailer which we are paying $1,000 for we specifically asked the man and explained the situation. He said oh thats no problem. When the trailer was dropped off we asked the truck driver again. He stated that they drive and deliver 24/7.. We loaded in a couple of hours and called and called no answer, next day Saturday called and called again no answer. Finally called customer service and the lady was so rude. Well we dont service on the weekends its in your contract your things wont be delivered until possibly friday. So now I have to fly back once again,miss work and try to unlaod myself because my husband will already be at work. If we would of known they dont work on the weekend which what moving company doesnt oh them. We would of paid a little extra for Pods or Uhaul company so that we could have our belongings. Nowy husband will be in an empty home for a week with absolutely nothing. No bed, no tv, no clothes.. Nothing. Please reconsider using this company, pay the little extra for better service and make sure to read your contract and not go by the customer service reps.

  9. Slow and rude!!!!

    Slow and rude!!!! Do not ever use their service! UPack made my life so much harder!!!

    Customer service people are not very helpful and they delayed my shipment by almost a week. I had to call at every step to remind them and track where my items were and how I can make the shipment faster.

    I submitted all needed documents for my shipment right after they picked up my stuff, and even called them to confirm whether they have received my paperwork. However, some guy from UPack still called me to ask for my paperwork after several days. This is so not acceptable and totally delayed my shipment.

    When I wanted to schedule my delivery appointment for my destination address, the person on the call was so rude and unwilling to provide me with an estimated time range of when my delivery may arrive. I had to call at 7am of the actual delivery date to further confirm.

    UPack made my life so much harder!!!

  10. Just as it says - U Pack but pack tightly!

    Great Experience - local ABF drivers were very helpful and placed cubes exactly as planned. Delivery was a window of 3-5 days - easy tracking. The secret to a good move - follow clearly written instructions from ABF - load heavy low. Tie down or stuff the container full to the doors. There is space between the plywood floor and doors on the metal sill that must be filled - I load mattresses last to stuff and cushion. Cover all mattresses, fabrics, and items with plastic to prevent water damage. ABF like U-Haul and all the moving companies I have dealt with explicitly state their moving containers, trailers, or trucks are not water proof, just water resistant. I always make sure anything near the doors is plastic covered.

  11. Wow!

    I was planning on renting a U-haul to take my belongings on a cross country move. A friend heard about UPack and I did some research. The price was great but there were some bad reviews that caught my attention. I was assured by my friend that his friend had a good experience.

    From the time I booked the trailer to the time it arrived at my destination, I was bowled over by the great customer service and the whole move went flawlessly. Everyone was so nice and professional. I had several changes of drop off locations and everything still went smoothly. Communication was great and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I moved a four bedroom home for about $2800. I had quotes from others from $7000-$12,000.

    Thank you UPack for saving me a ton of money on my move!

  12. Great Service from End to End

    After getting quotes from PODS and traditional moving companies, it was clear that UPack was a better value. I liked getting a real quote online vs having to call PODS to get the amount. I made my reservation online, and when I did call UPack customer service, the agent there answered quickly. I appreciated their patience while I asked a million questions; they were efficient and professional. I got two ReLo containers for the price of one small POD, so I got twice the space and everything fit perfectly. I used the packing methods and straps as recommended in the UPack videos. Everything arrived in perfect condition with minimal shifting. The cubes were delivered on time, picked up quickly once I had them packed, and arrived on schedule to North Carolina. I liked being able to track them on the website as they made their way across country. Once in NC, the driver called that morning to say he was on the way - he gave me a 2 hour window and showed up right on time. He was able to put the cubes side-by-side in the apartment parking lot. This made unloading very easy. I called when they were empty and UPack came the next day and picked them up. It was flawless service from end to end. I would definitely use them again.

  13. Terrible experience!

    Received a call during the middle of my originally scheduled drop off time to be informed that the drop off would occur 4-6 hours later than was originally scheduled. The reason? Another customer booked AFTER me and was in my area so they are bumping me back to drop off for the other person. This is ridiculous, I will never use this company again and trash them every chance I get. Thanks for completely screwing up my moving schedule and making me postpone my moving date.

  14. Move of furniture from Richmond, VA to Clearwater, FL

    We had furniture moved from Richmond, Va. to Clearwater, Fl. We arranged with U-Pack in Clearwater and met with them in VA. They are an excellent company. They met every part of the contract, were on time, and when they arrived in Clearwater, went over and above to meet our schedule. We would recommend them as an excellent company to work with.

  15. Move from Oregon to Alaska went well

    I recently moved from Oregon to Alaska. Got quotes from traditional movers that were very high. I asked for a quote on line from Upack and got one right away. While I was trying to make up my mind I got an email from Brett at Upack offering me a special deal. Despite me having to pack up my entire house alone including buying boxes I decided to go with Upack. Brett was awesome! He is in the Arkansas office. I had at first ordered a POD but after starting to pack realized I had too much stuff for a POD and panicked. Brett was calm and helpful. I wound up with a trailer instead. I didn't have to use the whole trailer and was just charged for what I did use. The trailer arrived early and was delivered by a very helpful driver. The only negative here is that Upack utilizes 'Moving Staffers' as loaders. They are not Upack employees but a separate company. The Moving Staffers in Eugene, Oregon were like Cheech and Chong. Disorganized, and when I called to confirm my load date they got me mixed up with someone else! Then to top it off Moving Staffers charged my Debit Card 4 times what they were supposed to! Apparently Upack shared my card info with Moving Staffers. I had a fit! I did get my money back but that was very scary. I am a senior citizen and felt like Moving Staffers were ripping me off. I was too far along in the move to back out and find someone else. The Moving Staffers broke my lamps and did a sloppy job of loading. After that Upack DID pick up the trailer right away, an hour after I called them. It left for Alaska immediately and was delivered in two weeks!! Impressive! The Moving Staffers in Alaska who unloaded were late and got lost but were really nice young men and did a great job unloading in the snow. The trucking company in Alaska took their own sweet time picking up the Upack trailer but finally it left. I highly recommend Upack but use caution with Moving Staffers. Try to find someone else to load/unload and don't use a debit card, use a credit card that has more protection from over charging. All in all it was a good experience and saved me around $4000.00.
